"Alright, little fairy, or rather, Harumiko, it's time to go! I'm all ready," Hiroshi said with a smile to Harumiko, who was still sitting by the window.
Harumiko nodded, returning his smile, and slowly stood up. She walked over to him, and together, they grabbed their room key and a few other necessities, then headed out of their lodging.
"It's such a beautiful morning. There are still very few people on the streets. We should quickly find a place to grab some breakfast, and then head to the Lake of Mirrors. The earlier we go, the better our chances of enjoying it peacefully. Otherwise, if we go too late, it's probably going to be packed with people!" Hiroshi whispered to Harumiko as they walked along the street.
Harumiko nodded in agreement. She felt the same way. If they went later, the place would surely be crowded. After all, most of the people in this village were visitors, and they were all here for the Lake of Mirrors.
"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll find a place to eat breakfast quickly, and then we'll head straight to the lake. That way, we'll have plenty of time to play there! And I'm sure it won't be long before the crowds start arriving," Harumiko said to Hiroshi with a smile.
Hiroshi nodded gently. He was constantly scanning their surroundings, looking for a breakfast spot. It was true that this village had many shops, but finding exactly what they wanted to eat wasn't always easy.
Besides, they hadn't eaten many meals here, so they didn't really know which places served good breakfast. They would have to take a chance and pick a place, and hope it tasted alright for now.
"Let's just go for the steamed buns and rice porridge again. We can't be sure about other dishes, but I've tried that bun shop before, and the taste is pretty decent!" Hiroshi said, turning to Harumiko with a smile.
Harumiko nodded happily. She had enjoyed the breakfast there last time too, so they decided to go back to the same bun shop. At least they were somewhat familiar with that place.
"Okay, let's go for the steamed buns and rice porridge then! I really want to have it again. We don't usually eat breakfast often, so we should definitely have a good one today. I have a feeling we won't be getting much breakfast once we leave this village!" Harumiko said with a helpless but smiling expression.
Hiroshi gently shook his head, smiling. "No, don't worry. Before we leave this village, we'll stock up on lots of things, especially breakfast items. We can buy things that are easy to prepare, so we can have breakfast every day even after we leave!"
Harumiko nodded happily. She thought that was an excellent idea. Together, they slowly began walking towards the bun shop.
"This bun shop is actually quite a distance from our place, isn't it? We've been walking for so long, and we're still not there. I can't believe how quickly you ran back and forth that day!" Harumiko said, frowning slightly as she looked at him.
Hiroshi nodded sheepishly. "It's nothing. That morning, after I came out, I didn't wander around. I just ran straight down this street, looking for a place to buy breakfast. I checked many shops, but they were all still closed. Only this bun shop was open, so I bought the buns and quickly ran back!"
"Oh, I see! Well, we must be almost there, right? I feel like we've walked a really long way. Or maybe it's just because I don't know where the shop is, so it feels longer today?" Harumiko said gently.
Hiroshi looked ahead and smiled. "Don't worry, we're almost there. Just a few more minutes of walking, and we'll reach that bun shop. I'm sure they're still open, and there probably aren't too many people eating there yet. This village isn't exactly full of early risers who like to exercise outside!"
Harumiko nodded, returning his smile, and they picked up their pace slightly. They were both starving and didn't want to faint from hunger before they even reached their destination.
After another two or three minutes of walking, they finally arrived at the bun shop. Indeed, just as Hiroshi had predicted, there weren't many people inside.
