The first to wake up between the two unconscious ones was Virelle, who, as soon as she saw Enrico on the bed, used her healing power, managing to restore his body to one hundred percent of its potential. Muscle fatigue, internal injuries that could be serious—everything was healed. The only thing she couldn't cure was the fire cancer, something impossible to heal by any means other than the two already considered by him.
Virelle seemed discouraged for not having been able to cure it, and soon after she was already thinking and planning some training for him to increase his level as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, Serenya, Seraphina, Rina, Aoi, and Danyana arrived in the elves' dimension, and to their surprise there was one more girl joining the marriage with Enrico. The only one who wasn't there yet was Yumeha, who had gone on a mission to become stronger and would only arrive the following week.
Each of them made Elaris and Grakka do something to join, and both passed—only Yumeha was left. At the current moment, it was the day that the next wife would arrive, at least that's what Grakka said, something that honestly annoyed the others because of the orc's stupid wording.
"That orc really isn't afraid of dying"
Elaris was sitting in her father's chair in a room where he used to work, looking at some documents about the development of the kingdom while more papers were being delivered about other matters—like creatures and some new dark elves appearing. It was irritating, making her glare threateningly at Serina, who brought more papers.
"Don't look at me like that, this is your job, Queen"
"You're quite a bold subordinate"
Serina whistled, pretending she wasn't enjoying the new little queen showing that expression. If it was already fun, it would be even more fun when Enrico became king. She placed more papers for Elaris above the table; both on the floor and on some chairs, there was an abnormal amount of documents with different problems for her to solve.
"If you don't want to be executed, you'd better hide that amused face better"
"My apologies, Queen"
She had already been in that room for four hours, and that made her think about the successor of the king of Sanos. She had started helping her father on the same day as graduation. Elaris didn't understand why that princess and Elithia wanted so badly to be queen. It was honestly tiring and irritating to deal with all that paperwork.
"Right, I forgot to tell you, but I think there's still time. Miss Yumeha arrived a short while ago—about a minute, I think"
"You should have said that as soon as she arrived"
"But you wouldn't have been able to go with all thi—"
Elaris vanished, breaking into ice and leaving the room in less than a second, leaving Serina alone. She had finally managed to escape that room. She felt a lot of pity for her father for having gone through this. At that moment, she had just escaped, but she was already at Enrico's room door, waiting for Yumeha to arrive, as she doubted she had already entered.
"What are you doing here, princess… I suppose I should call you queen now"
Surprised, she turned to the half-open door and saw Yumeha looking at her suspiciously. Behind her was Velka, sitting on a chair and observing her curiously.
"You've already arrived?"
"Of course. If I didn't come as fast as possible, I would be a terrible wife to my master"
"I suppose you're right… may I come in?"
Yumeha stepped away from the door and went to the side of Enrico's bed, near where Velka was. Entering, Elaris grew curious seeing the two together—she had thought Velka was just a subordinate, which wasn't a lie, at least for now, because if Enrico asked her to participate, she would do so without hesitation.
"You two seem to have a good atmosphere"
"Well, she was my training partner, something my master requested"
"Lady Yumeha helped me a lot, and I would like to show how much stronger my body has become now to my… master"
Velka almost said "savior," but she could only call him that in private because Yumeha insisted she address him that way. For now, she was just his subordinate and could only give him a nickname if she were his wife—that was what Yumeha had started saying a month ago.
'Even so, I can still call him that when we're alone'
"Why did you come here, Queen?"
Elaris began to observe Enrico's face, something Yumeha noticed and responded to with a threatening expression. As soon as she saw that look, she already knew what it meant and snorted a moment after the deadly gaze.
"You want to become part of it too, right?"
"…all of you are quick to figure out what I want"
Of course they would be, if a girl looked at their beloved like that. Even so, Yumeha had some different thoughts, since lately they had been needing help with Enrico.
"It's been difficult to satisfy him, so it might be good to have more help"
"What do you mean?"
"Nothing. First, tell me how your relationship is so far. Did master allow it?"
"What do you mean allow it? Aren't you the ones who decide?"
Elaris was confused because, as far as she knew, Enrico used to tell girls interested in him that they first needed the wives' permission—though it had been a while since he said it exactly like that. Just like Elaris, Yumeha also seemed a bit confused.
"So… he hasn't chosen you yet?"
Seeing a smile appear on Yumeha's face, Elaris's eyebrow twitched slightly. That smile somehow affected her pride. Asking herself why she felt like that, she just looked at a thoughtful Yumeha.
"That's because after graduation I allowed him to choose three girls per year if he wanted"
"Wait, three?"
With a flustered expression, she remembered what she had to go through with the other girls to get their approval. One made her carry several books for days; another made her fight almost to death—obviously Danyana.
"It seems the others take advantage of it to have fun with you, but since he hasn't allowed it, you'll have to pass my test"
Yumeha's smile looked demonic, so there was only one thing she could do—call Grakka to go through hell with her, because she wasn't going through that alone, and curse all the girls who had tormented her in the previous days.
"You bunch of bastards"
While the two stared at each other, Enrico began to sit up, and Velka immediately drew their attention with a worried expression, standing up quickly. When they looked at him, they saw that even after Virelle healed his body, he seemed worse than before the war ended. That was because the side effect of breaking the limit had activated.
"Sorry, but could you call a healing mage for me?"
