Early morning.
Kitazawa opened his eyes and immediately felt something soft and warm in his arms. Lowering his head, he saw Kurenai, her expression exhausted.
To make it up to her, he'd gone all out last night, even skipping his visit to Tsunade in the latter half of the night. The price was that Kurenai had been pushed to the limit, satisfied to the point of an "almost dying" experience.
He lifted a hand to her forehead. Pale green chakra flowed into her.
A moment later, Kurenai's eyes fluttered open. The instant she saw Kitazawa, a faint flicker of fear flashed in her gaze.
Even though she'd grown much stronger, it still wasn't enough. The gap between her and Kitazawa was like heaven and earth; she couldn't even tell how far apart they really were.
She thought of Tsunade's suggestion. If she didn't cooperate, resisting him alone would indeed be difficult.
"Good morning," Kitazawa said with a smile.
"I'm too tired. I don't want to move," Kurenai shot back, glaring at him.
"Then I'll help you get dressed." Kitazawa kissed her cheek, then got out of bed.
Kurenai sat up, stretching out as she shifted to the edge of the bed, watching him.
Kitazawa dressed himself, then picked up some bandages and carefully wrapped them around her thighs and wrists. When he finished, he patted her thigh and gestured for her to stand.
Kurenai rose. Aside from the bandages, she wore nothing.
Kitazawa couldn't help swallowing at the sight.
"Does it look good?" Kurenai asked, lips curling slightly.
"Do you even need to ask?" Kitazawa picked up her clothes, smiling. "It looks incredibly good."
"Smooth talker." Kurenai raised her arms like a makeshift clothes rack.
"I'm telling the truth." He helped her get dressed.
"I'm going to help Rina with breakfast." Kurenai pushed open the door and headed toward the kitchen.
After washing up, Kitazawa returned to the living room. Karin was there, but Tsunade wasn't.
"She's not up yet?" Kitazawa wondered as he walked toward Tsunade's room.
He pushed the door open without hesitation.
Tsunade came into view, sprawled on the bed. She wore a nightgown, but the neckline was pulled loose, revealing snowy curves that rose and fell gently with her breathing.
Kitazawa stepped forward and slipped his hand inside her nightgown. Warmth spread across his fingers.
Tsunade woke instantly. She grabbed his wrist, glaring in irritation.
"It's time to eat, Tsunade‑sensei," Kitazawa said, blinking innocently.
"I'm already retired, and you still won't let me sleep in?" Tsunade sat up and gave him a kick.
"Even if I didn't wake you, Shizune would have," Kitazawa replied with a smile.
"..." Tsunade fell silent.
She stood, shrugged off her nightgown, and for a moment, Kitazawa forgot to breathe. There was no helping it—her figure was too voluptuous, and the visual impact was overwhelming.
Tsunade shot him a sidelong glance, then began dressing with a pleased smile. In the process, she made a point of moving seductively. When she bent down to pick up her tea‑green haori from the floor and snapped it out with a flourish, the sight made Kitazawa's scalp tingle.
But he couldn't do anything. Kurenai, Shizune, and the others were already up and making breakfast; he couldn't stall too long.
"You just wait for tonight!" he growled before leaving Tsunade's room.
Tsunade snorted lightly—not afraid at all. If anything, she was looking forward to it. After all, she'd spent last night alone in an empty room.
After breakfast, Kitazawa took Kurenai, Shizune, and Rina to the Hokage Building. After a brief exchange, they split up for their respective offices.
"Good morning, Konan." Kitazawa strolled into the Hokage's office.
Konan rose and walked toward him. Kitazawa slipped an arm around her slender waist, stole a bite of her rosy lips, and gave her soft backside a light pat before letting go.
Konan licked the corner of her mouth, clearly wanting more.
"Any important documents today?" Kitazawa asked as he sat down at the Hokage's desk.
"This one." Konan picked up a file and handed it to him.
Kitazawa opened it. The document concerned the Five Kage Summit.
The Fourth Raikage had already arrived in the Land of Iron with Mabui and the others. Ōnoki, Rasa, Mei Terumī, and the rest had also departed. Only Konoha had yet to make any move.
When he finished reading, Kitazawa set the document aside. He had already turned Mabui, Baki, and the others to his side. Now, it was just a matter of waiting.
A knock sounded at the door.
"Come in." Already guessing who it was, Kitazawa stood up.
"Kitazawa‑sensei." Hinata and Neji stepped inside.
"Konan, I'm going out for a bit." After informing her, Kitazawa took Hinata and Neji to the Forest of Death.
In the original timeline, there was a path somewhere in the Shinobi World that led straight to the Moon—but its exact location had never been revealed. Kitazawa didn't feel like searching.
He chose the most direct method instead: Double Kamui.
Double Kamui could open a spatial tunnel.
[Current Mission: Defeat Ōtsutsuki Toneri.]
[Mission Reward: Ōtsutsuki Clan bloodline concentration increased by 40%.]
[Accept?]
Kitazawa raised an eyebrow and accepted without hesitation.
A 40% increase at once, added to his previous 30%, meant he was close to 100%. By then, he would possess a true Ōtsutsuki bloodline.
Shaking off that thought, Kitazawa immediately activated Double Kamui. Space distorted.
A special door appeared out of thin air before them.
"Get ready for battle," Kitazawa warned. "Once we pass through, there's a high chance we'll be attacked."
Hinata and Neji hurriedly readied their bows.
Kitazawa stepped through first. His vision blurred—and then he was standing on the desolate surface of the Moon.
Unlike the Moon from his previous life, this one had air; it wasn't a vacuum. The Moon of this world had been created by the Sage of Six Paths. Before that, there had been no Moon at all.
"This is the Moon," Kitazawa said casually.
Hinata and Neji both showed stunned expressions. They had actually left the Shinobi World and come to the Moon—gods only knew how far away.
"Our mission target is on the Moon?" Neji finally reacted, his voice full of shock.
"They're here." Kitazawa's gaze fixed ahead, where a dense swarm of puppets was flying toward them.
They were Toneri's puppets.
Hinata and Neji activated their Byakugan and immediately spotted the approaching army. Suppressing their shock, they raised their bows and drew back the strings.
Multiple Arrows!
Countless Yin Release arrows shot forth, followed by booming explosions that filled the skies.
The puppets were strong, but nowhere near enough to stand against Hinata and Neji.
Inside the palace on the Moon.
Ōtsutsuki Toneri raised his head toward Kitazawa and the others. Born without eyes, he used perception in their place.
"How did they suddenly appear on the Moon?" Toneri frowned in confusion. The passage from the Shinobi World to the Moon hadn't been used.
"Since you've come to my doorstep unanounced, I won't bother being polite," Toneri said calmly.
The three newcomers seemed strong, but he wasn't worried. He had the Great Tenseigan.
Toneri turned and walked into the main hall.
A massive purple eyeball stood at its center.
He approached the Great Tenseigan, then turned back toward the entrance.
Soon, Kitazawa, Hinata, and Neji arrived at the hall's threshold.
"Someone actually lives on the Moon?" Neji asked, curiously sizing Toneri up.
But his eyes were soon drawn to the Great Tenseigan. A familiar yet foreign ocular power pulsed from it.
Does this have something to do with the Byakugan? Doubt flooded Neji's mind.
"Hinata, it's been a long time," Toneri said, ignoring Kitazawa and Neji.
Hinata froze. She had no memory of ever meeting this man.
"It's normal you don't remember me," Toneri said casually. "We only met once when you were a child."
Kitazawa wasn't surprised. In the original story, Toneri had come to the Shinobi World when Hinata was three years old. That meeting was what later drove him to kidnap her and try to marry her.
"Hinata, your Byakugan has extremely high purity. You shouldn't remain in the Shinobi World," Toneri said. "Stay here on the Moon and keep me company."
"I refuse," Hinata answered without the slightest hesitation.
"It doesn't matter. You'll agree." Toneri raised a hand and pressed it to the Great Tenseigan.
Clusters of purple chakra orbs appeared, then shot toward the group like feathered arrows.
These chakra spheres could seize control of their targets.
"He really is… confident." Kitazawa shook his head.
From beginning to end, Toneri hadn't paid him or Neji any mind.
Kitazawa lifted his hand, face indifferent.
Shinra Tensei!
Invisible repulsive force exploded outward. The chakra spheres were all flung back at once.
"How do you have the Rinnegan?" Toneri's heart lurched. He hurriedly activated the Great Tenseigan.
A purple flash.
The Great Tenseigan swallowed both the chakra spheres and the repulsive force.
"Just who are you?" Toneri felt a rising sense of dread.
"The one who's going to kill you," Kitazawa replied.
Danger prickled at the back of Toneri's neck. Without hesitation, he poured all his chakra into the Great Tenseigan.
Purple radiance flared. In an instant, five beads—Truth‑Seeking Orbs—formed in front of him.
Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!
The orbs spun into a ring, and a terrifying storm erupted from within.
"Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion?" Kitazawa immediately activated his Tenseigan Chakra Mode.
"Why do you have both the Rinnegan and the Tenseigan?" Toneri stared in disbelief.
Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!
Kitazawa raised his hand. Nine Truth‑Seeking Orbs appeared out of nowhere, and an even more violent storm blasted toward Toneri.
The two storms slammed together like charging bulls. The entire palace shook. After a brief clash, the building shattered apart.
"Damn it!" Toneri grit his teeth and frantically drove the Great Tenseigan. The purple light grew brighter, like a miniature sun, pushing back the storm assailing him.
Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!
At the peak of the struggle, a golden beam extended from the Great Tenseigan, slicing through the storm like a sword.
Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!
Kitazawa grasped a golden blade of light and swung.
The two golden beams collided and exploded. Heaven and earth seemed to collapse together. What remained of the palace was reduced to total ruin; nothing intact remained in sight.
Only the Great Tenseigan stayed undamaged.
Toneri stood before it, drenched in sweat and panting heavily.
"This Great Tenseigan really is impressive," Kitazawa remarked with a faint smile.
"This is impossible!" Toneri shouted, staring at the unscathed Kitazawa.
Someone had actually withstood the Great Tenseigan so easily—even with a Tenseigan of his own, that should have been impossible. Under normal circumstances, the Great Tenseigan's power far surpassed a single Tenseigan. It was the combined might of the entire Ōtsutsuki Clan.
"The test ends here. Now, it's time to get serious." Kitazawa brought his hands together and entered Sage Mode.
"That was just a test?" An intense sense of crisis surged up in Toneri's chest.
Sage Art: White Shock Technique!
A crimson dragon appeared before Kitazawa, then detonated, unleashing a blinding flash and invisible sound waves.
Just as Toneri was about to activate the Great Tenseigan again, his body locked up. Agonizing pain exploded through his head. He clutched at it and screamed.
Kitazawa walked up to him and laid a hand on him, activating the Preta Path's Chakra Absorption.
In the original story, Nagato had used chakra absorption to devour Killer B's tailed beast cloak and restore his youth. Kitazawa's goal was simpler: drain Toneri dry.
"No!" Toneri felt his chakra vanishing at a terrifying speed. But under the White Shock Technique, he couldn't move at all. He could only watch as his chakra was stripped away.
A short while later, once his chakra was gone, the technique started draining his life force as well.
Toneri's screams grew weaker and weaker until they finally ceased. He toppled backward, shriveled into a mummified corpse.
Hinata and Neji exchanged bewildered looks. From beginning to end, they'd been lost. They didn't know who Ōtsutsuki Toneri was, nor did they understand the Tenseigan.
Kitazawa hadn't absorbed Toneri's chakra into himself, instead compressing it into a mass in his hand. Then he turned to the Great Tenseigan.
He placed his left hand on the massive eye. His perception expanded—and his eyebrows rose.
The ocular power of the Great Tenseigan was enough to let two Hyuga clan members awaken their own Tenseigan.
Now he didn't have to worry about Hyuga Hanabi failing to awaken it in the future.
[Current Mission: Help Hyuga Neji and Hyuga Hinata awaken the Tenseigan.]
[Mission Reward: Ōtsutsuki Clan bloodline concentration increased by 30%.]
[Accept?]
Surprise flickered across Kitazawa's face. Was reaching 100% Ōtsutsuki bloodline really going to be this easy?
On second thought, it made sense. Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo and Ōtsutsuki Hamura's strength hadn't been that far below Ōtsutsuki Kaguya's.
"Neji, come here," Kitazawa called.
"Kitazawa‑sensei." Neji stepped forward.
"Don't resist." Kitazawa raised his right hand.
Toneri's chakra surged from his palm straight toward Neji's eyes.
Neji instinctively shut his eyes as discomfort washed over him. He gritted his teeth, feeling a strange transformation taking place within his vision.
What's happening? Questions spun in his mind, but now wasn't the time to ask.
"Your tolerance is limited," Kitazawa quickly noticed.
It didn't take long for Neji's expression to twist in pain. He couldn't handle that much chakra all at once.
Thinking it over, Kitazawa formed a seal and locked the chakra into Neji's eyes with a sealing technique. Then he took out medical bandages and wrapped them over Neji's eyes.
"It'll take about a month to gestate," Kitazawa reminded him.
"Gestate what?" Neji couldn't help asking.
"The Tenseigan," Kitazawa replied. "It's the ultimate form of your Hyuga clan's Byakugan."
Neji froze. Their Byakugan could evolve?
Until now, he had always envied Sasuke—whose Sharingan could evolve from one tomoe to the Eternal Mangekyo.
