"Hinatà," Kitazawa called.
"Thank you, Kitazawa‑sensei." Having heard everything, Hinata had a rough idea of what he intended and spoke gratefully.
"Bear with the pain." Kitazawa smiled and pinched her cheek.
"Mhm." Hinata closed her eyes.
Kitazawa extended his hand. The Great Tenseigan trembled, and streams of purple light were drawn out and poured into Hinata's eyes.
Just like Neji, Hinata soon reached her limit. Kitazawa used the sealing technique again, sealing the excess ocular power into her eyes, then wrapped them with medical bandages.
Having lost half its ocular power, the Great Tenseigan dimmed noticeably.
Kitazawa produced a summoning storage scroll and sealed the Great Tenseigan inside.
Hanabi was still too young. Forcing her to awaken the Tenseigan now would put too much strain on her. He would wait a few years.
"I'll send you back." Kitazawa used the Flying Thunder God to return Hinata and Neji to the Hyuga compound.
"Hokage‑sama." Hyuga Hiashi noticed them and hurried out of his study. When he saw Hinata and Neji both bandaged around the eyes, he froze.
"Do you know about the Tenseigan?" Kitazawa asked.
Hiashi thought for a moment, then shook his head.
"It's the evolution of the Byakugan," Kitazawa said with a smile.
"What?" Hiashi's eyes widened. "The Byakugan can evolve?"
Like Neji, he had always envied the Uchiha clan's Mangekyo Sharingan. He'd never imagined their Byakugan could evolve as well.
"It's a long story." Kitazawa briefly summarized what had happened on the Moon.
The Hyuga clan, like Toneri, were descendants of Ōtsutsuki Hamura. Because of that, when the Byakugan was combined with Ōtsutsuki chakra, it could give birth to the Tenseigan.
"I never knew such a thing existed," Hiashi said, stunned.
Kitazawa's lips twitched slightly. In the original story, the Hyuga clan had been completely in the dark and barely got any screen time—unlike the Uchiha, who had the Sage of Six Paths' stone tablet and plenty of focus.
"Then Hinata and Neji are...?" Hiashi's excitement surged as he finally reacted.
Kitazawa wouldn't be explaining the Tenseigan for no reason. Combined with the bandages on the two of them, the answer was obvious.
"In a month, they'll awaken the Tenseigan," Kitazawa said.
Hiashi's fists clenched by instinct. He was so excited he wanted to laugh at the sky.
The Hyuga clan had finally caught up to the Uchiha!
More importantly, with the Tenseigan, both Hinata and Neji would be qualified to compete for the title of next Hokage.
"Thank you, Hokage‑sama!" Hiashi spoke with heartfelt gratitude.
Kitazawa nodded and accepted the thanks. Two pairs of Tenseigan in the Hyuga clan would be a qualitative leap.
"For this month, you two must not use the Byakugan," he instructed Hinata and Neji before returning to the Hokage's Office.
[Current Mission: Defeat Ōtsutsuki Toneri.]
[Mission Reward: Ōtsutsuki Clan bloodline concentration increased by 40%.]
[The host has completed the mission; distributing reward.]
Kitazawa stood still, feeling the changes in his body. His chakra had increased by about one‑fifth.
In other words, even with 100% Ōtsutsuki bloodline, his total chakra would only increase by less than three‑fifths. It sounded small—but in reality, it was tremendous. After all, his chakra was already close to limitless.
What interested him more was whether he would gain new ocular techniques after reaching 100%.
In the original series, Ōtsutsuki members had many unique ocular abilities. Notably, they didn't have the Tenseigan—it was most likely a mutation born from Hamura's descendants. The clan itself possessed the Byakugan and Rinnegan.
Ōtsutsuki Isshiki had the so‑called "Kokugan."
Kitazawa rubbed his chin. Isshiki had been Kaguya's teammate when they came to plant the God Tree in the Shinobi World. Ambushed by Kaguya, he'd been forced to parasitize a monk named Jigen.
Which meant he was still alive.
To Kitazawa, Isshiki was undoubtedly a hidden threat. But since he hadn't shown himself yet, there was no need to rush. Dealing with him after the Fourth Great Ninja War would be soon enough.
The sun set in the west.
In the capital of the Land of Iron, the Fourth Raikage, Rasa, Mei Terumī, and Ōnoki sat around a circular table, their gazes drawn to one empty seat.
"Any word from Konoha?" Mei finally asked.
"No," Ao replied.
"We haven't heard anything either," Baki added.
"The worst‑case scenario has come to pass. Kitazawa doesn't intend to attend the Five Kage Summit," Mabui said quietly.
"Does he really expect one village to stand against all four of ours?" Rasa slammed the table, his tone full of dissatisfaction.
"With Konoha's current strength, they certainly could," Mei sighed.
"We cannot give up the Tailed Beasts," Ao said with a frown. "If we do, even if we avoid the Fourth Great Ninja War now, it will erupt sooner or later!"
"That's right," Kitsuchi rumbled. "Konoha has all nine Tailed Beasts. Their strength already far surpasses ours. If Kitazawa doesn't move, what about the next Hokage? Or the one after that?" Ōnoki instinctively glanced at him. He hadn't expected Kitsuchi to speak up—but his point was valid.
Sooner or later, there would be a Hokage Konoha couldn't restrain.
"But none of us can defeat Kitazawa," Mei said bluntly.
"How can we surrender without even fighting?" Ōnoki snorted. "The number of shinobi in our four villages is four times that of Konoha!"
"Kumogakure has a way to deal with the Tailed Beasts," the Fourth Raikage said suddenly. "The Chakra Cannon."
Mei and the others traded looks.
In the original story, the Chakra Cannon had appeared in the Ōtsutsuki Toneri movie. When Toneri tried to destroy the world with giant meteors, Kumogakure deployed a chakra cannon to blast them apart.
With enough chakra, it could even shatter the Moon. Its power rivaled that of a tailed beast ball.
"Our four villages can pool our resources and build as many chakra cannons as possible," Mabui suggested after explaining the weapon.
The next morning, after breakfast, Kitazawa arrived at the Hokage's office. He pushed the door open to find Konan sitting on the sofa.
She wore a fitted suit and pencil skirt—looking less like an ANBU kunoichi and more like the Hokage's secretary.
Kitazawa's gaze lingered on her long legs in black stockings. He walked over, sat down, and pulled her into his arms.
"Any important documents today?" he asked casually, fingers tracing the smooth line of her stocking‑clad thigh.
"No," Konan said, shaking her head.
"If there's nothing pressing, let's put work aside," Kitazawa chuckled. "I've thought up a new Ninjutsu."
"A new Ninjutsu?" Konan asked, looking up from his arms. "Can I help?"
"You can." Kitazawa nodded. "I was planning to ask for your help."
"What do you need me to do?" Konan asked curiously.
She knew Kitazawa had a talent for creating Ninjutsu. She didn't. Normally, there wasn't much she could contribute.
"This new Ninjutsu is called the Yang Seal," Kitazawa said.
He'd long considered teaching Kurenai the Yin Seal. Its effects were far too tempting—no one could easily turn down perpetual youth alone.
But the Yin Seal was extremely difficult to master. Kurenai likely wouldn't be able to learn it.
His trip to the Moon yesterday, and the process of transferring ocular power to Hinata and Neji, had given him inspiration.
Now that his chakra was essentially infinite, he could simply share it with Kurenai. Put simply, if she couldn't learn the Yin Seal, then she didn't need to. He would carve it directly into her body.
The problem was that the Yin Seal required the user to continuously regulate chakra to maintain their condition and youth. Having enough chakra wasn't sufficient—it had to be kept in motion.
After some thought, Kitazawa turned to sealing techniques. Seals could operate autonomously, without the user's direct intervention. The Eight Trigrams Sealing Style used to hold Tailed Beasts was a prime example.
Out of this, the Yang Seal was born.
In short, its effect was to seal Kitazawa's chakra into the target's body and let that chakra circulate on its own.
The Yang Seal had two drawbacks. First, it consumed a large amount of his chakra. Second, the target would no longer be able to store their own chakra. In other words, every so often, he would have to replenish them.
Compared to the benefits, these faults were minor.
"Lie down," Kitazawa said, giving Konan's backside a light pat.
She immediately rose from his lap. After he shifted aside, she lay down on the sofa, removed her high heels, crossed her stockinged legs up, and stretched out.
She looked up at him, waiting for further instructions.
Kitazawa sat beside her waist and unbuttoned her suit jacket. Soon, the white shirt beneath was exposed.
He placed his hand over her heart. With each breath, he could feel the faint rise and fall beneath his palm.
Chakra surged from his hand, spreading in all directions across her pale skin.
Konan watched him calmly. She felt a slight, unfamiliar sensation from the chakra, but that was all. She had no idea what it was for.
But she trusted him. So she stayed silent and obediently lay still.
Kitazawa's hand slid upward along her skin, caressed her cheek, then settled on her forehead. A second wave of chakra flowed in.
Next, he took her hands. Finally, he grasped her feet.
When chakra spread across the soles of her feet, her legs trembled, and her toes curled.
"I've carved formulas in six places on your body," Kitazawa said with a smile, releasing her delicate, stocking‑clad feet.
Konan blinked, realizing why he'd touched her heart, forehead, hands, and feet in turn. But what purpose did those formulas serve?
"You'll know in a moment." Guessing her thoughts, Kitazawa formed a rapid sequence of hand seals.
Konan suddenly felt warmth sweep through her. She glanced down to see a faint formula appearing over her heart. She could easily imagine the same marks at the other five points.
In the next instant, the formula began to spread, lines extending until they covered her entire body and connected into one array.
Kitazawa pressed his hand over her heart again. A massive amount of chakra surged into her.
Konan's breath hitched. Shock flashed across her face. Why was he pouring so much chakra into her?
After a while, Kitazawa withdrew his hand. To the left of her heart, a tiny, red, heart‑shaped mark appeared.
"Perfect. Success on the first try." Kitazawa couldn't help but laugh.
The little heart added a hint of sexiness to Konan, especially paired with the metal studs.
Konan stared down at her body in wonder. As soon as the heart‑shaped mark appeared, she felt invigorated. Her body was in a peak state—and the sensation didn't fade.
As long as the chakra he'd left in her wasn't exhausted, it wouldn't.
"The Yang Seal has three effects," Kitazawa said with a smile. "First, it keeps your body in optimal condition."
Konan nodded unconsciously. She was already feeling that.
"Second, it grants eternal youth."
"What?" Konan's eyes widened.
Her emotions were usually steady, rarely fluctuating much. But now, she couldn't help feeling shocked and excited.
As a woman, the promise of eternal youth was irresistible. More importantly, with the Yang Seal, she could stay by Kitazawa's side forever without worrying about age dulling her looks. She knew very well where her strengths lay.
"The third effect is a certain degree of self‑healing," Kitazawa went on.
He took her hand and made a small cut on the back of it. The skin split for a heartbeat, then knit itself seamlessly, leaving not even a scar.
"Thank you," Konan said, looking up at him with rare seriousness.
"There is one drawback. Every so often, I'll need to replenish your chakra," Kitazawa said, pinching her chin with a smile. "So you won't be able to leave me for the rest of your life."
"I never planned to leave," Konan replied. Her voice was cool as always, but her conviction was absolute.
"Good girl." Kitazawa lowered his head and kissed her.
Konan immediately parted her red lips to meet him, their tongues intertwining. The long kiss only ended when someone knocked at the door.
Konan sat up, buttoned her suit, and slipped into the shadows.
"Kitazawa." Shizune pushed the door open and entered. "We just received the latest intelligence from the Five Kage Summit."
Kitazawa nodded calmly.
"The Five Kage Summit has concluded. The Fourth Raikage and the others have each returned to their villages," Shizune reported after a steadying breath.
"I see. You may go," Kitazawa said lightly.
Shizune hesitated, as if wanting to say more, but ultimately just nodded and left.
Before long, another knock sounded.
A White Zetsu disguised as an ANBU entered, pulled out a scroll, and handed it to Kitazawa.
He opened it and read. The scroll recorded the conversations between the Fourth Raikage and the others during the summit.
None of them had sensed White Zetsu's presence—just like in the original story, where it lurked unseen during the summit. If it hadn't revealed itself, they'd never have known such a creature existed.
"A Chakra Cannon?" Kitazawa murmured, remembering after a moment.
He hadn't expected Kumogakure to actually possess one. But it didn't matter.
The Chakra Cannon's power was indeed impressive, on par with a Tailed Beast Ball. But to the current Kitazawa, a tailed beast ball was meaningless. He could dodge it, and even if he took it head‑on, he wouldn't be harmed.
"Keep monitoring them. Report any movement to me," Kitazawa said, closing the scroll.
"Yes, Hokage-sama." White Zetsu nodded and left.
Kitazawa had to admit that White Zetsu was extremely useful. With it around, he could keep tabs on the Four Great Villages' movements anytime, anywhere.
He still didn't know exactly when they would make their move or start the Fourth Great Ninja War—but it definitely wouldn't be during the New Year. Manufacturing Chakra Cannons would take months.
Kitazawa nodded to himself. That timetable was just what he wanted.
"Konan, I'm going out for a bit," he said, standing.
"Mhm." Konan reappeared before him.
Leaving the Hokage's Office, Kitazawa headed to Kurenai's office. There was no time like the present. Since the Yang Seal was a success, it was time to give it to Kurenai. He'd created it for his women in the first place.
After all, the Yang Seal was essentially all benefit for others and pure cost for him. It consumed a tremendous amount of his chakra.
"You came at just the right time!" Kurenai said with a smile when she saw him. "The Film and Television Department's first movie is officially finished today!"
"So soon?" Kitazawa was a little surprised. In his impression, making a movie took quite a while.
"This is the first film with a large number of shinobi participating," Kurenai said, shaking her head. "We're not that fast."
Kitazawa blinked, then understood. With Shadow Clones and the Transformation Technique, production costs could be cut massively. Special effects could simply be done with Ninjutsu.
"When are you planning to release it?" he asked after a pause. "It'd be better to launch it before the end of the year."
Once the New Year passed, the Fourth Great Ninja War would probably break out. No one would be going to the movies then.
"Then the first of next month!" Kurenai decided after thinking for a bit.
"That works." Kitazawa smiled. "We'll go see it together."
"Mhm." Kurenai nodded. "So, what did you come to find me for?"
"I came up with a new Ninjutsu called the Yang Seal," Kitazawa said.
"Yang Seal? Does it have something to do with the Yin Seal?" Kurenai asked, puzzled.
"It has effects similar to the Yin Seal," Kitazawa explained.
"Can I learn it?" Kurenai's eyes lit up at once.
She'd wanted to master the Yin Seal for a long time, but it had always been beyond her.
"You can," Kitazawa said, walking to the sofa. "I came specifically to engrave the Yang Seal on you."
"You're so good to me!" Kurenai kissed him on the cheek. "Then I'll learn it right now!"
"Lie down," Kitazawa said, pointing at the sofa. "There's no need for you to learn it. I'll directly carve it into your body."
"...?"
