The blast from Lilianna's self-destruction bloomed across the ruined estate like a struck bell, and then it was gone. It should have knocked everyone out, but didn't.
The shockwave slammed against the manipulated seawater that hung around 'Grayson' and simply deflected it. It broke a couple of strands, folded sideways like it would churn into a huge whirlpool again, and sprayed a few splatters of seawater.
But other than that, no damage had been incurred.
Somewhere far off, a support pillar that had survived the whole long night finally gave up and toppled into the side where Ethan had been standing.
SPAT!
Ethan spat blood, with ragged breathing after dodging the pillar's fall.
"Useless!"
He snarled as he rushed to counterattack 'Grayson', his voice cracking high and thin.
"All that concoction—and still he didn't manage to kill anyone. Fucking useless until the end."
