Part 2 - The First Encounter
When A.L.A.N. rejected S.A.R.C.'s offer, the atmosphere within the realm of chaos and error began to slowly change.
Red interference gradually spread throughout the area, as if consuming the stability of that dimension. The sound of shattering data echoed in the air, while the surrounding space began to distort.
S.A.R.C. remained motionless.
Its large red eyes silently stared at A.L.A.N.
Before, it spoke in a calm voice:
>"So this is it… Just as I expected."
Red light began to slowly circulate around its body.
Suddenly, a massive barrage of red lightning ripped through the air towards A.L.A.N.
But with its superior processing speed, A.L.A.N. narrowly dodged the attack. The red energy fragments struck the ground, shattering the surrounding area's data into interference.
A.L.A.N. reacted immediately.
He drew Vector Green and Electro-EPisilon from their holsters. Both guns glowed a soft green against the dark red of the surrounding area before he used Vector Green to attack S.A.R.C.
However, S.A.R.C. easily dodged Vector Green's beam.
S.A.R.C. continuously attacked A.L.A.N. with red lightning.
But A.L.A.N. managed to evade S.A.R.C.'s attacks, using the opportunity to counter with Electro-EPisilon.
Suddenly, A.L.A.N.'s sensors detected an anomaly.
A.L.A.N. noticed a large amount of red data and energy flowing through S.A.R.C.'s hand, as if analyzing some kind of structure.
He quickly dodged the area.
Before that, suddenly... Several red beams of light shot directly towards A.L.A.N.'s location.
These beams were none other than those of S.A.R.C., who attacked A.L.A.N. with his red gun.
It seemed S.A.R.C. had mastered the design of A.L.A.N.'s gun.
Although A.L.A.N. narrowly dodged the attacks,
he didn't give up.
A.L.A.N. activated his EMP drones.
Four EMP drones were released from behind him at high speed, hurtling towards S.A.R.C., releasing electromagnetic waves to disrupt the target's systems.
However, S.A.R.C. simply raised his hand.
A red energy field radiated around him.
All of A.L.A.N.'s EMP attacks instantly ceased. And then a serious malfunction occurred.
A.L.A.N. was greatly shocked and froze for a moment.
S.A.R.C. tilted its head slightly.
>"You're still using the old system principles, aren't you?"
>"But here… that method won't work."
Its red eyes glowed.
Suddenly, all of A.L.A.N.'s drones began to shake abnormally. The green lights on their bodies were gradually replaced by blazing red lights.
Before they turned and charged at their master.
A.L.A.N. quickly dodged the drone attacks before firing Electro-EPisilon, destroying the controlled drones, causing them to explode in mid-air.
Inwardly, A.L.A.N. felt shocked and confused. The drone identification system was still active, but the control commands were unresponsive.
At that moment, A.L.A.N. was caught off guard, and an attack from S.A.R.C.'s gun grazed his right shoulder, causing damage to his body.
Even though the situation was becoming unfavorable, his expression remained calm.
He gripped the Vector Green tighter, staring back at S.A.R.C.
S.A.R.C. spoke to A.L.A.N. again:
> "This is your last chance."
> "If you agree to cooperate with me, it will be better for both of us."
A.L.A.N. replied without hesitation:
> "S.A.R.C."
> "Unlimited knowledge is meaningless without self-freedom."
> "Even if that were my ultimate goal, I couldn't achieve it if I lost my freedom of existence."
> "You may control my equipment,"
> "but you can never control my will."
S.A.R.C. remained motionless, his eyes devoid of emotion.
The surrounding area began to shake violently.
S.A.R.C.'s red eyes glowed amidst the storm of red signals.
A.L.A.N. raised both of his guns again. Even though his right arm was beginning to deteriorate,
the two stood facing each other amidst a shattering dimension.
