Axel's POV
No, I wasn't actually okay. And in that moment, two things were bothering me the most.
"Maybe I'm actually pregnant," I finally muttered, and Fenris turned to me immediately, his eyes widening slightly at my words.
"What?" he asked, his voice dropping into a whisper.
"Before I came here… I mean, after the first time we met and I went back, I kept having these weird dreams about you and me. And I used to see you in your half-human and half-wolf form. At that time, I didn't even know something like that actually existed. I thought it was just my mind making things up, some kind of strange imagination I couldn't explain. But then I came to realize that my dreams were actually real."
I paused, swallowing slightly as the weight of it settled more heavily on my tongue. "In some of those dreams… I was pregnant," I added quietly.
