Naruto was dazzled by the amount of changes he saw in his status. This was way different from the image he remembered
The first time he arrived at the tower only two of his attributes were yellow but now all of them were. Even 2 of them were ready to update to the next tier.
He was happy seeing his progress, although he didn't know how far he had progressed compared to the people from the village, at least he could see the advancement.
"Lvl 7, I think I can only gain one lvl after I clean this floor, ugh... Hm? What is this?" Feeling concerned about his future, Naruto was thinking on how he can get stronger until a line of text caught his attention.
Reading it, Naruto's pupils dilated.

"...Huh? What is this supposed to mean?"
He was sure that the last line wasn't there the last time he watched his status; it was only "human", not this question mark thing.
He tried to touch the status but this time it didn't show anything. And the worst of all is that he doesn't know when this change began, he always looks at the attributes or stats because he knows those might change.
As he began to think intently, Naruto's head started to ache.
"Ugh, why does everything have to be this confusing? No one answered my questions..."
With his mood altered, Naruto didn't want to continue the expedition. He needs to know what's happening.
He went back to his bed with heavy steps, there were so many things happening in these months and he didn't know where he should start.
Naruto didn't want to continue without knowing what's happening but at the same time he couldn't surrender to this. This is his only hope to get what he wants and his only hope to return.
As he struggled with his thoughts, Naruto didn't notice that the Dwarf was watching him the whole time.
"What's happening with this brat? He just needs to beat the shit out of that stupid dog. What is he doing here?"
Minutes continued passing and Naruto's expression didn't get better.
Annoyed by that, the Dwarf let out a dried cough.
"Hm?" The small but audible sound took Naruto out of his mind.
Turning his head, Naruto saw him.
The Dwarf was there looking at him with an unfriendly face.
"What's with that face? Are you constipated?" He sounded annoyed, but the words that came out of his mouth weren't as harmful as expected.
"Sir... I don't understand something." Naruto felt sorry, he didn't want to bother him.
"Then ask away, I won't charge you for a question."
These words awakened Naruto.
Right, he just could ask him. After all, he's the only person he was in contact with these months.
Getting up from his bed, Naruto stood in front of him and with the most serious expression his immature face can show, he opened his mouth.
"Sir, do I look like a human or something?" His expression was serious, but the words he talked sounded like he was having a stroke.
"...Did the food poison you or are those injuries you always get finally showing their effects? I don't want you to be the first retarded in this tower..." The Dwarf replied with concern. He knew that something like this will happen one day by the state he was always in when he arrived, but he wasn't ready for it to be this early.
The moment Naruto heard that, his expression fell.
"..." Naruto's face darkened as he frowned.
He asked, waiting for a solution, not to be treated as a retard. Looking at the old man in front of him, Naruto was annoyed.
The Dwarf also noticed it, he jumped to conclusions very quickly and didn't hear the whole story.
"Ahem! It was a joke haha... Can you explain to me why you are asking that?" He changed the topic shamelessly.
Naruto looked at him suspiciously, but the Dwarf expression didn't change.
Swallowing his suspicions, he asked.
"You see, when I arrived at the tower I opened my status window as she told me. You could do the same the first time, right?"
"Yes, it's always like that." The Dwarf nodded, he didn't understand what the problem was.
"Good, and when I saw it that time my status was different but it had something I think it won't change no matter what. You know what it is?" Naruto continued his explanation and waited for the last part.
...The Dwarf couldn't help but sighed. He wasn't annoyed anymore, but now he remembered the identity of the person in front of him.
A kid less than 10.
"After all, it's just a kid, heh."
"Hm, your name, I guess? But as far as I know that can be changed."
"No! There's another thing. One thing that represents you in this cruel world!"
"Eh, your height?! That makes sense, I haven't grown since I remember!" In a moment of realization, the Dwarf thought he had the answer.
"Then what's the problem? You are still in growth and you're a human, not a Dwarf, so you don't have to be worried to be as tall as I am" The Dwarf was confused once again, this stupid brat was worried about this thing? Or he just wanted to mock him?!
With his thoughts going in the wrong direction, the Dwarf looked at Naruto with malice. He was worried about his health and this brat just wanted to make fun of him. From now on, he will sell him the items at a higher price than they are now.
Naruto didn't know what, but he had a bad premonition looking at the resentful eyes of the Dwarf. Without time to think, he knew that he needed to go to the point if he didn't want things to get worse.
"No, no, no! It's not that!" He started to talk with urgency "It's the race, MY race! It appeared that I'm fully human but now it has another line that I don't understand, it just had question marks on it and the system didn't tell me what that was!"
Just when he said all the things he could sense that the bad feeling disappeared.
"Ah, hahaha. Is that so?" The Dwarf started to laugh and the gloomy look he had before wasn't there anymore.
"It's not something bad, but when was the first time you noticed the change?"
"That's what I don't understand. I don't feel anything wrong but it's weird knowing that I have something strange. Can you remember if I did something weird before?" Naruto asked eagerly.
"Mm, okay. Give me a second"
The room fell in silence while both of them were losing their thoughts.
Did he do something or she changed it for him?... He continued thinking about it but nothing came to his mind...
It was like that until he remembered the last days on the first floor.
That small burst of aura was from him? But it feels different from his other energies... but if it isn't that, then what's the problem?
With a thoughtful look, the Dwarf left the state and called Naruto.
"Naruto. I have a conjecture. Do you remember what you were doing the last few days on the first floor or what happened at that time?"
"First floor?" Naruto began to recall and he got the answer.
"I... I was just fighting Zug and looking for the secret room." Naruto wasn't confident, he didn't remember anything wrong on those days.
"And? Have you used something strange? I felt another type of energy, it disappeared in seconds but I remembered it."
"Ah...Right, in the arena. Just before I fainted, I heard something... a roar." His words hesitated at first, but at the end of it he was sure.
It happened.
It was inside him.
"A roar? I think I know what's happening."
"Really?! Tell me!" Naruto didn't have any expectations, so heard the Dwarf saying that it was like giving a drowning man a hand.
"Fine, it's not the first time I've seen a case like yours." His eyes were curious as he looked at the kid.
Is that bad his natal world that even children have to carry with those monsters?
Putting aside his disordered thoughts, he continued.
"Probably you have something inside of you that caused these changes. Your body is so weak that foreign energies can change it with large amounts. So I'm guessing that there is another energy in your status or something like that?"

"Fox? Ah, then you are one of those."The Dwarf nods with comprehension.
"Those? You know other people like me?" The fear disappeared and curiosity took the advantage.

"Hehh, name? In mine they just called me monster, so, I have another name?"
