"Hoopa—"
On the outskirts of Lumiose City, a grotesque, massive brute with six floating arms hovered in the air, seemingly deep in meditation with its eyes closed.
Half a month ago, it had vaguely sensed a familiar dimensional fluctuation, prompting it to awaken early.
The human who had sealed it a century ago had long since passed away, and the descendant who inherited his mantle had lost the crucial method to do so. Faced with an Hoopa Unbound that had regained consciousness and escaped from the Prison Bottle, they were completely helpless and were instead sealed inside the bottle themselves.
It was finally free!
However, Hoopa Unbound was not satisfied with merely regaining its freedom.
Since its "main body" had abandoned it, sealing it in the lightless Prison Bottle, then the main body deserved to die!
Thinking this, Hoopa Unbound suddenly opened its eyes, its pale pupils filled with fury.
"Hoopa, I've finally found you!"
As long as it devoured the main body that had cast away this power, its own strength would inevitably reach a whole new level, regaining the terrifying power it once had to destroy an ancient kingdom!
Hoopa Unbound's eyes immediately narrowed into slits, looking toward the direction where it felt a faint connection with itself.
Then.
Whoosh—!
A fierce wind blew past, uprooting the grass field.
Hoopa's figure instantly vanished, charging toward the city center at breakneck speed, leaving only countless afterimages in the air.
On the other side.
"Hoopa?!"
Little Hoopa, who had somehow sat behind Aiden on Salamence's back, leaning back-to-back against him, suddenly shivered.
"That guy found us!"
"You mean it found you, right?" Aiden corrected it, while simultaneously looking at the space in the distance that was visibly distorting.
As expected of the Super Mythical Hoopa; its mere existence is enough to disrupt reality.
The relationship between the two Hoopas was probably like the two halves of a Pokeball. The price of Little Hoopa having no malice was the existence of this "Hoopa Unbound," which had nothing but ill intent in its heart.
Not only was it stronger, but its actions were completely illogical.
Hoopa Unbound's ambush was almost certainly aimed straight at devouring Little Hoopa.
So there was no room for negotiation; they had to be prepared for battle.
Aiden subconsciously put his hands in his pockets, took out two Pokeballs, and turned his head to look behind him.
"Little Hoopa, before we start fighting, can you gacha pull some Legendaries out?"
Since the battle was inevitable, they had to maximize the value of all the power available on their side.
Otherwise, the fight would likely be incredibly difficult.
"N-no, I can't—"
Little Hoopa suddenly lowered its head guiltily.
"That guy is much stronger than me, and it's locked onto my Hyperspace Rings."
"If I rashly use 'Hoopa Pulls,' that guy will definitely crawl right out of the rings!"
Having abilities derived from the same source was truly troublesome in this regard.
If it had a choice, the moment it caused this massive blunder, Little Hoopa probably would have just used "Hoopa Pulls" to safely escape with Anxin'er.
Hoopa Unbound?
Hoopa doesn't know~
Uncle Aiden will definitely fix it in the end anyway!
But this time, it didn't dare take that gamble—
"Tch, I'll settle the score with you later."
Aiden sighed, suddenly understanding why Hoopa was so terrified when it saw him.
This little guy had accidentally poked a sky-sized hole in the current timeline.
However, the immediate priority was still to deal with the big guy over there.
Sensing the powerful aura rapidly approaching, Aiden exerted force with both hands and threw the two Pokeballs simultaneously.
"Go, Miraidon, Mewtwo!"
The moment the red flashes faded, the massive red-and-gray figure from afar had already arrived right in front of them.
"Gar-roar—"
"Get out of my way!"
A somewhat lethargic dragon roar and Mewtwo's angry shout rang out at the same time.
"Hoopa?!!"
Lightning intertwined with formless psychic power shot out. The caught-off-guard Hoopa Unbound was forcefully pushed back by the two forces, and slight burn marks appeared on the six arms it had instinctively raised to block.
After the high-speed moving figure finally stopped, the mountain-like colossal silhouette appeared before Aiden.
It was a terrifying monster with a green face and sharp fangs, its size comparable to a skyscraper. Just noticing its figure was enough to immediately feel an invisible pressure.
The ends of the six arms floating in front of it were adorned with golden rings, and the inside of its hollow chest was pitch black.
"Hoopa—destroy the enemies!"
Once Hoopa Unbound recovered, its bewildered expression twisted into rage, and its six arms stretched outward in tandem with its fluctuating emotions.
With an earth-shattering roar, its arms casually pointed into the void, creating six Hyperspace Rings identical to the ones Little Hoopa held.
"Mewtwo, interrupt it!"
Mewtwo: ???
Looking at the opponent's special ability that was already twisting space and time, Mewtwo paused for a moment upon hearing Aiden's voice, then immediately raised its arm and clenched its hand in the void.
Its three fingers mustered all their strength, trying to forcefully close the already open spatial portal.
However—
It was still a step too slow.
"Roar—!"
Among the six spatial wormholes, a brilliant rose-red light bloomed in the center of the left side. A formidable force of space suddenly shot out, blasting away all the psychic power Mewtwo had gathered.
"Tch—"
Mewtwo retracted its hand, pursing its lips with a grave expression.
It failed.
"Uncle Aiden, think of something, quick!!!"
Little Hoopa, sitting behind Aiden, completely panicked.
It occasionally used "Hoopa Pulls" to summon goons from other dimensions, so how could it not know what kind of monsters the opponent was pulling out this time?
The three rings on the left corresponded to the deities of time and space from Sinnoh, and Kyurem from Unova;
The three rings on the right were respectively the gods symbolizing land and sea from Hoenn, plus an exceptionally special "God of the Sea."
Once the six monsters inside the portals appeared, the consequences would be unimaginable!
"—Nothing we can do."
Aiden shook his head.
Out of all the Pokemon in his team, Mewtwo was probably the only one capable of forcibly interfering with space and time using psychic power. But against Palkia, whose powers were "professionally aligned" with this, it would be hard for it to be effective.
Even if Mewtwo Mega Evolved this time, it probably wouldn't work.
Therefore, the appearance of Legendaries was inevitable.
However, this was also within Aiden's expectations.
"Marshadow!"
"Marsha?!"
Following Aiden's loud shout, the shadow behind him suddenly distorted, and Marshadow's figure drilled out from Salamence's back.
"Help me contact Giratina. Tell it that its two little brothers are trying to rebel again!"
"Marsha!"
Marshadow instantly understood Aiden's plan and immediately drilled back into the shadows, disappearing.
As it disappeared, Aiden looked up at the sky, cupped his hands around his mouth like a megaphone, and shouted upward:
"Black Rayquaza!!!"
"Lend me your strength one more time!"
Aiden's thought process was actually very simple.
Since the opponent started pulling for backup, his side couldn't fall behind either!
Just because Hoopa couldn't pull Legendaries didn't mean he couldn't!
The "connections"—no, the Pokemon bonds he had accumulated as a messenger of Arceus were precisely for this moment!
If Arceus hadn't already left this world and could only observe him from outside it, he would have even wanted to pull the Alpaca's true form here to help.
"Hoopa—?"
Hoopa Unbound across from them stared fixedly at the overconfident human, and soon started laughing uproariously, holding its belly.
Who do you think you are?
A mere human wanting to summon Legendary Pokemon?
That was something even that old guy who sealed it couldn't do!
Do you have Hyperspace Rings too or something?
Looking at the spatial wormholes beside it that were gradually expanding and glowing even more vividly, Hoopa Unbound quickly raised its arms and let out a loud shout.
"Hoopa—Summon!"
As its voice fell, the sky quickly began to flash with lightning and roar with thunder. Countless dark clouds suddenly formed on the originally clear horizon, accompanied by a sudden torrential downpour.
However, even though the dark clouds had already covered most of the sky and the rain poured down like a waterfall, harsh sunlight still seeped through the gaps.
For a moment, the weather in Lumiose City simultaneously displayed two completely opposite phenomena: clear skies and a rainstorm.
As for the reason—
It was naturally caused by the two figures that drilled out of the wormholes on Hoopa's right.
Boom—!!!
Primal Groudon, clad in red armor and covered in golden patterns, fell from the sky. The violent tremor it caused upon landing was no less than a magnitude 6 earthquake!
"Roar—!"
Primal Kyogre in the sky flapped its fins. The rain falling around it immediately defied gravity, suspending in the air and condensing into several beams of blue light.
Aiden narrowed his eyes, the rain wetting his hair and sliding down his temples.
Not just the Hoenn duo, the other four figures in the air also brought an incredibly strong shockwave.
Kyurem, with crimson pupils, turning the surrounding rain into falling hail with every breath;
Dialga, covered in an impossibly hard steel armor, casually exhaling soundwaves that could easily traverse time and space;
Palkia, with blade-like claws, its Spacial Rend able to tear through space;
And—
A pitch-black "Lugia" exuding a sinister aura.
It was a far cry from the holy image of the God of the Sea in his memory, looking more like the Shadow Lugia created by a villainous organization in a certain spin-off.
Even the highly experienced Aiden subconsciously raised his hand to his forehead, wiping away rain mixed with cold sweat.
This is way too hard!
If they were following the movie's plot—
Lugia should have been their teammate.
But obviously, the current situation was vastly different from what he had imagined.
Moreover, judging by the behavior of the Dragon Duo, those two were likely deities from another dimension, so they didn't recognize him at all.
Therefore, there was no way to "turn them."
Six immensely powerful Legendary Pokemon from alternate timelines gathered together, plus the Hoopa Unbound they were guarding—
"Hoopa—Attack!!!"
Hoopa Unbound pointed forward from a distance. They all turned their gazes in unison, focusing on Aiden riding on Salamence's back.
And they all simultaneously took up the stances for their ultimate moves.
Precipice Blades, Origin Pulse, Aeroblast;
Roar of Time, Spacial Rend, Glaciate.
Let alone Aiden, probably any single Legendary would fail to tank these six moves!
However—
Just as Aiden frowned, staring intently and thinking about how to split them up, the sudden stop of the torrential rain immediately made his eyes light up with joy.
It wasn't just him; the six Legendary Pokemon and Hoopa Unbound on the opposite side all looked up at the same time.
A gap suddenly appeared in the thick dark clouds that had covered the sky, and soft sunlight shone down from it.
Soon, more gaps appeared simultaneously and continued to expand outward until they had completely dispersed the dark clouds.
After the sky cleared up, the pitch-black Rayquaza, coiled in the high heavens with incredibly sharp eyes, abruptly appeared in their line of sight!
??!
When they noticed the completely pitch-black figure with golden patterns extending outward like clouds, the Hoenn duo pulled by Hoopa Unbound simultaneously showed fear on their faces.
Oh no!
It's Mega Rayquaza!
And a Shiny one too, it looks like it hits extremely hard!
"Roar—!"
The Black Rayquaza in the sky let out a single dragon roar, making the seven Legendaries opposite Aiden feel immense pressure at the same time.
In contrast, Aiden still had a smile on his face, waving at the sky.
As expected, Black Rayquaza is always the most reliable!
It probably didn't show up immediately because it was secretly stacking Dragon Dances behind the clouds—
Then again, if it had appeared too early, the Hoenn duo probably wouldn't have drilled out of the portals.
Aiden withdrew his gaze and looked at Mewtwo and Miraidon, who were guarding his sides.
With this, it was a 6v7 fair battle!
As for why his side also had 6—
Aiden narrowed his eyes, looking at a black wormhole that suddenly appeared behind Hoopa Unbound.
"Roar—!"
Just as Hoopa and the Legendaries' attention were entirely focused on that Black Rayquaza, a pitch-black figure abruptly burst out from the wormhole.
"Marshadow!"
When the silently appearing Giratina bit down on the completely unguarded Dialga's back neck, the Marshadow standing on its head also kicked out, putting 120% strength into a stomp against Palkia's back.
The two Legendaries had absolutely no time to react before they were dragged one after another into another black wormhole opened by Giratina, instantly disappearing.
"Hoopa—"
???
Hoopa Unbound stared blankly at the place they disappeared, then quickly looked at Aiden with an incredibly complex expression.
A human... actually knows how to use Hoopa Pulls too?
Watching Giratina and Marshadow enter the Reverse World, Aiden finally breathed a sigh of relief.
The Giratina situation was also settled.
Those two little brothers were destined to be unable to cause any trouble in the Renegade Pokemon's home turf; defeating them was only a matter of time.
As for the Hoenn duo, the Black Rayquaza, which had a bloodline suppression over them, should be able to handle both of them at once.
So, the only opponents he truly needed to watch out for were Dark Lugia and Kyurem!
That was what Aiden originally thought—
Until the recovered Hoopa Unbound spread its arms again and let out a loud roar.
"Hoopa—, summon again!!!"
After its six gray arms flicked the golden rings, another six wormholes connecting to other dimensions appeared.
???
Wait, it's pulling again?
Aiden immediately waved his hand—
"Rayquaza, interrupt it!"
"Mewtwo, Miraidon, pin down Dark Lugia and Kyurem!"
As Aiden spoke, the Black Rayquaza in the sky launched itself, turning into a shooting star streaking straight toward Hoopa Unbound.
And Kyurem and Dark Lugia, who tried to intercept it, were respectively restrained by psychic power and lightning, unable to make a move in time.
At the critical moment, Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon actually joined forces, simultaneously using Origin Pulse and Precipice Blades, trying to block the Black Rayquaza's Dragon Ascent.
Boom—!
The Black Rayquaza didn't dodge. Relying on its speed, it slammed straight through their ultimate moves, maintaining its unstoppable momentum as it charged toward Hoopa Unbound!
"Hoopa—!"
At the crucial moment, a wicked smile suddenly appeared on the corner of Hoopa Unbound's mouth.
One pair of its arms suddenly pulled back, stopping the action of summoning interdimensional Pokemon, and its hands grabbed one of the Hyperspace Rings hanging on its body.
As the Black Rayquaza charged straight in, it actually plunged headfirst into the Hyperspace Ring that was waiting for it to fall right into the trap.
Shit!
Alarm bells immediately went off in Aiden's head.
Oh no, it looks like our smurf account (carry) just got banned!
