Sabrina checked her gear one last time in the shuttle bay. The team had split into three groups for simultaneous hits.
Hers included Mara for muscle, Sira for her knowledge of the youth programs, and Lira who knew every mentorship coordinator on the station. Elara fed them updates from the command center on the central lattice link.
"New data from Kael confirms thirty confirmed sleepers across the logistics hubs," Elara said through comms.
"They're not blowing things up. They're shifting conversations. Telling the kids that hybrid traits make people unstable. Slow poison."
"Copy," Sabrina replied. "We hit the first site in ninety seconds."
The shuttle docked hard at the outer ring of Station Echo-7. They moved fast through the service corridors. Mara took point, rifle ready.
Sira followed, her adaptive biology letting her scan the air currents for heat signatures better than any standard scanner. Lira brought up the rear with a data pad full of personnel files.
