Cherreads

Chapter 236 - 236

On the private jet, Jason leaned back in his leather seat and let the system prompts roll past his ears one after another.

He wasn't surprised at all to see the sharp drops of favorability scores.

They were streamers. Most streamers were pragmatic, short-sighted, and emotionally shallow—far more dependent on perceived financial stability than genuine affection.

Jason had known long ago that leaving them any place in his life—mistress or otherwise—would've only planted future landmines. The moment something went wrong, they would be the first to jump ship, or worse, stab him in the back online for clicks and sympathy.

Keeping such women was meaningless. And he never lacked women to begin with.

He was, however, mildly surprised that Agela's favorability dipped more than expected. But even that didn't bother him.

Once he returned to River City, he would simply have her move out of the penthouse. After that, she would exist in his world purely as a tool, not a partner. The luxury car could stay with her as a breakup fee—he didn't need it.

What pleased him far more was that so many other girls hadn't fluctuated at all.

Mia, who immediately said she could sell her villa and cars to help him.

Julia, who transferred the only $100,000 she had—without hesitation.

Those moments genuinely warmed him.

At times, life was like this:Some people would disappoint you so deeply you'd feel the world was pitch black.Others would surprise you enough to make you believe humanity was worth loving after all.

After this brief social experiment, Jason dismissed the entire ordeal.Any favorability lost from fake news would be restored within minutes after he returned to River City.

He opened the system interface and checked the rewards for Main Quest Five. The $500,000 bonus had already been deposited into his bank.

He barely looked at it.

He no longer cared about such laughably tiny rewards.

Not only had he conveniently redirected large sums of simp gold before, but the wealth he had earned on his own now exceeded three billion dollars, and the passive income from his projects easily reached the eight-figure range per month.

A mere half-million reward?Pocket change. He suspected the system offered such sums more to mock him than to reward him.

Still, the lottery draws were always worth anticipating.

He glanced at the Five Premium Draws available but didn't spin them yet.He wanted to wait until he was back in his hometown.Maybe the land he grew up on would bring him luck.

Then he looked at the newly refreshed Mission:

Main Quest Six

Required Simp Gold: $50,000,000,00Time Limit: 1 year

Requirements:

Spend $5 billion within one year.

Increase the favorability of 1,600 women rated 8.0+ in appearance.

Raise 12 women (8.0+ rating) to 80 favorability.

Raise 5 women (8.0+ rating) to 90 favorability.

Raise 1 woman (8.0+ rating) to 100 favorability.

Raise 1 woman (9.0+ rating) to 100 favorability.

Reward: $600,000 + 6 lottery drawsFailure Penalty: Freeze all remaining simp gold

Jason stared at the task silently.

A five-billion simp fund…For a reward worth less than a mid-range sports car.

This system was committed to the soft-hearted cruelty of a true simp overlord. It squeezed him like a lemon every upgrade.

After a moment, he let out a breath and pocketed the thought.

The plane landed in Brightbay City.

The moment he stepped off, his phone buzzed with a voice message from his mom, Angela Carter:

"Jason, sweetheart, did you land yet? We're at Wanda Plaza. Come find us."

Jason smiled helplessly and replied:

"Just landed. I'm on my way."

Stepping out of the airport, a Bentley Flying Spur and an Audi were already parked neatly at the curb, with a slightly overweight middle-aged man waiting respectfully beside them.

Jason had asked Olivia to contact a dealership in here in advance—he needed a car ready to drive when he returned home.

The middle-aged man stepped forward quickly, bowing slightly.

"Mr. Carter, Secretary Olivia, this is the Bentley Flying Spur you requested. All procedures—registration, plates, insurance—are completed."

Olivia offered a polite nod. "Thank you, Mr. It must've been troublesome to drive it here personally."

"Not at all, not at all," He said eagerly. "Mr. Carter, Secretary Olivia, if you need anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me."

He was practically glowing. One car sale earned him a solid profit—then he looked into Jason Carter.

A quiet college kid with a low-profile background in this city…Yet in los angeles, Jason was practically a storm—luxury cars, massive real estate projects, government connections… everything.

Bugatti Chiron, Lamborghini, Unimog, Maybach…Deals worth billions…

And now Jason seemed to be shifting part of his operations to Brightbay City.

If he bought even a fraction of his future cars from this dealership, He could live comfortably off Jason alone.

"Alright," Olivia said, opening the door, "we'll be in touch the next time we purchase a vehicle."

Jason got in, and the two drove away.

Wanda Plaza

Inside a noodle shop, they were having ramen with another family of three.

Angela and the other middle-aged woman chatted as if they had known each other for twenty years—laughing, trading parenting stories, comparing their kids.

Meanwhile, Eric and the other husband sat stiffly, quietly eating.

The man wore a black, formal Mandarin-collar jacket—posture straight, expression cold, eyebrows creasing slightly when he heard Eric slurp his noodles too loudly.

The couple's daughter—a striking young woman in her early twenties—also looked aloof, frowning whenever her mother became too friendly with the "country woman."

After finishing the meal, Angela and the woman walked out of the plaza still talking nonstop.

Once they reached the parking lot, the man finally spoke, impatiently:

"Let's go. I have another meeting."

The woman smiled apologetically at Angela. "Angela, we should head home. We added each other on—let's talk again when we're both free."

Angela grinned. "I don't come to the city often, but when I do, I'll find you."

The other family entered their car and drove off.

A few minutes later, inside their BMW, the man—David, Deputy Director of the Bright bay Development & Reform Board—frowned deeply.

"A woman from the countryside you met in a mall, and you talk to her as if you've known her for years. What happens when she comes asking for a favor later?"

His wife, Laura, waved him off. "I think Angela is warm and sharp. She might not be highly educated, but she's perceptive and easy to talk to. It's just making a friend—she doesn't seem like the type to impose on others."

David snorted. "You only know someone's face, not their heart. What if she recognized my position and approached you on purpose? People from different social classes shouldn't get too close."

Laura shot him a side-eye. "You're honestly getting arrogant. Do you think every random person recognizes a Deputy Director walking around in casual clothes?"

Their daughter, Katherine, chimed in irritably:

"Mom, it's fine to chat, but why did you tell her so much about me? From the way she talked, it felt like she wanted to ship me off to her son."

Laura laughed. "Well, can you blame her? You're beautiful. And her son went to Bright bay High like you—just a year earlier. He got into Los Angelas University, and even sold a patent to a major tech company while still a junior. That kind of future is promising. Knowing someone like that won't hurt you."

Katherine rolled her eyes. "Mom, you're too naive. Do you know how rare it is for a college kid's patent to be bought by a big company? Besides, I'm going into public administration like Dad. I'm not interested in someone who works under other people. Dad's right—different social classes shouldn't mix too deeply."

David nodded approvingly, the corners of his mouth tightening.
