Chapter 237 - 237

At the Wanda Plaza parking lot, after Jason Carter parked the Bentley, he told Olivia to take care of her own arrangements. He definitely couldn't bring her home with him—otherwise his parents would immediately overthink everything.

From a distance, he saw his parents seeing off a family of three. Even without getting close, it was obvious the father and daughter were already impatient, their expressions practically dripping with disdain.

"Dad, Mom!"

Jason walked up with a bright smile.

Eric Carter and Angela Carter turned around—and froze when they saw him.

As Jason came closer, Angela reached out to touch her son's face, her eyes widening.

"Son… you've gotten so handsome! Last time we video-called, I thought it was just one of those camera filters."

She had heard how her son had chased a girl for three years with no success. Now? He had money, looked like a celebrity, and carried himself differently. Finding a girlfriend shouldn't be hard anymore.

Eric nodded heavily with satisfaction. "Hmm. He does have some of my charm from back in the day."

Angela gave him a dramatic eye-roll.

Jason quickly took the bags of meat and vegetables from their hands. "Dad, Mom, who were those people? They looked like they couldn't wait to get away. Let's not bother with them."

Eric snorted. "I also felt that man was looking down on us. But your mother insisted on chatting with them."

Angela waved her hand dismissively. "Who cares about him? I was chatting with Laura, not him. And did you see how pretty her daughter was? If we stay friends, maybe our son will have another opportunity someday."

Angela was the kind of woman who could talk to anyone. Cheerful, warm-hearted, and honest—bluntly sensitive, as some people called it.

Her kindness was her strength…And also her weakness.

She rarely sensed when others were trying to use her.

Eric, on the other hand, was quiet and reserved. Sensitive to people's intentions. Cautious.

Jason smiled. "Mom, if someone doesn't want to associate with us, then forget them. And don't worry about me finding a girlfriend. If you want to see your daughter-in-law, next time I'll bring a super model home."

Angela laughed out loud. "You really know how to brag. A super Model? If you can just bring home a gentle, down-to-earth girl after you graduate, I'll be thrilled."

Jason didn't argue.Fairy-like?He could bring back a group, if he wanted.

He wondered how his mom would react to multiple daughters-in-law showing up at the door someday.

Angela continued, "I still think Laura is a good person, but since both of you don't like her family, fine—I'll keep less contact and only chat with her occasionally."

That was another good thing about her—she always listened when both her husband and son agreed.

Jason led them to the Bentley and opened the trunk, placing their groceries inside.

Both parents stared, stunned. They didn't know luxury cars, but even to untrained eyes, this was clearly expensive.

Jason could only explain that the tech company valued him and provided the car for convenience.

When they drove back to the village, the entire neighborhood gathered to stare.Gasps, whispers, envy—the whole place buzzed.

Eric and Angela were glowing with pride.

That night, the overjoyed couple spent two hours preparing a huge, festive dinner.

Eating his mother's cooking again, Jason felt warmth spread through him. No restaurant in the world could replace these flavors—the taste of childhood wasn't just food; it was part of him.

He quietly prepared two bowls of soup—each infused with a sliver of the millennium ganoderma and a petal of moonlight epiphyllum.

That very night, the elderly couple already looked healthier, their cheeks rosier.Once they finished the entire supply over the next few days, their bodies would reach a level of vitality most people could only dream of.

After dinner and a shower, Jason lay on his familiar old bed and finally opened the system interface.

Time to draw the rewards.

He didn't bother doing single draws—he hit "Draw 4 Consecutively."

The digital roulette wheel spun wildly.

His heartbeat rose with it.

When the roulette finally stopped, Jason saw the five rewards he had drawn:

5 Attribute Points, a Energy Gathering Sub-Array, a Skill Book, and a Pet Contract.

Jason first assigned the 5 attribute points.

It was worth noting that ever since the Energy Gathering Array had been embedded in his body, it had subtly strengthened him every day. Even though the improvement was slow, over this period:

Constitution had already increased by 2

Spirit had increased by 1

Plus the 5 points he just added, his stats now looked like this:

Constitution: 22Strength: 19Agility: 20Spirit: 20

A normal human breaking physical limits was rare—Jason was breaking them casually, again and again.

If he joined the Olympics now, he would shatter record after record. If he fought someone, even without formal combat training, he would be an unstoppable monster.

Next, Jason checked the remaining items.

Energy Gathering Sub-Array

The array inside Jason's body was actually the Mother-Array of a larger formation system.

There were eight sub-arrays in total that could be placed anywhere with naturally strong energy.

Each sub-array would gather spiritual energy continuously, storing it like a battery.

Whenever Jason visited a sub-array, the Mother-Array would instantly absorb everything stored there into his body—a huge boost each time.

System suggestion:"Build eight palaces, place eight sub-arrays, give them to eight beauties as princess residences, let them fulfill their princess dreams! They will adore you for it!"

Jason: "…Why would I give away my cultivation resources?"

Skill Book

Allows Jason to choose any skill and instantly raise it to Very high Level.

System suggestion: "Give it to a beauty with a dream—piano, dance, singing… she'll worship you forever!"

Jason: "Yeah, no. I'll take the power myself."

Pet Contract

Allows him to contract an animal, granting it:

heightened Intelligence

simple sentience

telepathic communication

growth potential

System suggestion: "Give it to a beauty who loves small animals!"

Jason:"Why give it away?If I have a pet, girls will come to me to see it."

Jason's eyes gleamed as he finished reading.

These were all divine treasures.

And giving them away?Not happening.

His allocation priorities were clear:

In Jason's heart, the ranking of importance was:

Parents = Himself > Julia > Mia > Holly > Megan > …

Energy Gathering Sub-Arrays — ALL FOR HIM.Since the Mother-Array was inside his own body, the entire system should naturally belong to him.

But the residences where the sub-arrays were placed?Ordinary people couldn't absorb spiritual energy, but constant exposure would still improvetheir bodies.

Meaning…

He could set one sub-array in here, build a villa, and let his parents live there.

Another one could be reserved for Julia, his first official girlfriend in his heart.

As for the other six?He would assign them later—according to usefulness and loyalty.

Skill Book — USE ON HIMSELF.It was too wasteful to boost someone else before maxing out his own power.

Pet Contract — DEFINITELY KEEP.Every guy had dreamed of having a cool, sentient companion.

Why give such a dream away?

Besides…

If he bonded with a pet, women who loved animals would naturally gather around him.

A far better return on investment.

Jason closed the prize list, excitement bubbling in his chest.

Five amazing prizes.Five steps closer to becoming unstoppable.

And tomorrow…he would start arranging the sub-array locations, allocating the Skill Book, and thinking about what kind of spirit pet to contract.

His new life chapter was about to begin.
