Hearing that designation, Tier Harribel and Ginjo Kūgo both showed visible surprise.
Renya smiled faintly and explained calmly,
"The Secret Mobile Unit more accurately, the Onmitsukidō is a covert organization within Soul Society. Its responsibilities include assassination, intelligence gathering, detention, internal security, investigation, and interrogation. Historically, it operated independently of the Gotei Thirteen and answered directly to Central 46."
He continued evenly,
"Only later did it become formally affiliated with the Second Division, though it retained operational autonomy."
After a brief pause, Renya added,
"After I assisted in equipping the Onmitsukidō with specialized tools smoke bombs, flash bombs, paralysis grenades, and spiritual shock devices their combat effectiveness increased dramatically."
"In situations without seated officers, lieutenants, or captains present, ordinary Shinigami from the Gotei Thirteen would be completely outmatched."
"Even against a lieutenant-level opponent, a properly coordinated punitive unit could restrain them for an extended period of time."
Harribel frowned slightly.
"But why create another covert force?" she asked. "You could proclaim yourself King of Hueco Mundo and establish a Hollow empire. No matter how powerful, a secret unit is still only a unit."
Renya nodded in agreement.
"Exactly. Because we are merely a force and because our true objective cannot be disclosed to you."
He had no intention of remaining in Hueco Mundo indefinitely. In two years, he would return to Seireitei. The so-called Hidden Mobile Force of Hueco Mundo was designed to operate independently outside the influence of the Quincy and the Shinigami alike.
As for ruling Hueco Mundo itself, Renya had no interest.
Among the three great factions Shinigami, Quincy, and Hollows
Hollows had always suffered the most.
First, they were slaughtered by the Quincy. Then the Shinigami waged war against the Quincy due to the imbalance caused by Hollow extermination, driving the Quincy into hiding. After that, Aizen Sōsuke enslaved the Hollows. When Aizen fell, the Quincy returned… and enslaved them once again.
Few realized this truth: Hollows were inherently toxic to Quincy.
Urahara Kisuke once stated that Hollow Reiatsu acted as a lethal contaminant to Quincy souls. If corrupted by Hollow power, a Quincy's spiritual structure would weaken, destabilize, and eventually collapse. That fundamental incompatibility was precisely why Quincy exterminated Hollows so relentlessly.
The same principle formed the foundation of the Hollowfication countermeasure later known as the Invasion Pill. a technique designed to blur and reclaim stolen Bankai.
Yet despite possessing such inherent danger to Quincy, Hollows remained the weakest faction militarily.
Even the Arrancar enhanced by Aizen, those who gained Shinigami-like powers were ultimately unable to surpass true captains.
Harribel nodded slowly.
"Very well," she said. "We will follow your orders."
Renya spoke clearly.
"I will serve as Commander-in-Chief of the Hidden Mobile Force. Beneath me will be five divisions."
"First Division: the Punitive Corps responsible for executions and absolute enforcement."
He turned to Ulquiorra.
"You will command it."
"This subordinate accepts," Ulquiorra replied immediately.
The Punitive Corps demanded absolute obedience and merciless efficiency traits perfectly embodied by Ulquiorra.
Renya then looked at Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck.
"The Second Division Public Patrol. You will lead it."
This was not a covert patrol like that of the Onmitsukidō, but an overt force similar to the Tenth Division's defensive role.
Nelliel smiled brightly.
"I'll do my best."
"The Third Division Surveillance and Detention," Renya continued.
"It will monitor internal activity, investigate dissent, suppress rebellion, and oversee imprisonment."
"Harribel, this division is yours."
"…Me?" Harribel was genuinely startled.
The authority granted to the Surveillance Division was immense. Assigning it to someone who had only recently submitted seemed excessive.
Renya smiled calmly.
"You are the most suitable."
Harribel embodied sacrifice willing to suffer for her subordinates, willing to stand firm for those under her protection. She was disciplined, principled, and unwavering once responsibility was accepted.
Renya then turned to Ginjo's group.
"Ginjo Kūgo, you will command the Fourth Division Support Operations. All Fullbringers will be assigned there."
In Soul Society's Onmitsukidō, the Fourth Division handled intelligence. However, Renya had repurposed this role. Fullbringers, with their unique manipulation of soul-bound matter, were ideal for logistical, reinforcement, and battlefield support.
Ginjo nodded.
"No objections."
Renya concluded,
"With that, the Hidden Mobile Force is complete. I will soon create a number of new Arrancar to reinforce each division and raise all of your power."
Ulquiorra alone possessed the ability to overwhelm early Hollowfied Kurosaki Ichigo with ease, placing him firmly at high captain level.
Harribel and Nelliel, as Trés Espada-class combatants, stood at upper-captain tier.
Ginjo Kūgo and Tsukishima Shūkurō were both captain-class threats, especially Ginjo, who possessed both Shinigami and Fullbring power.
Renya's objective was simple:
Elevate every captain-tier combatant beyond their current ceiling.
Ginjo asked curiously,
"When will you strengthen us?"
"You will each be given two opportunities," Renya replied. "But the decision must be voluntary."
"And the method?" Tsukishima asked.
"Hollowfication," Renya said evenly.
"First, mask-level Hollowfication.
Second, forced evolution approaching Resurrección. Either path will create an inner Hollow. Victory grants immense power. Failure results in total loss of self."
Tristan asked quietly,
"If we fail… will our consciousness vanish?"
Renya nodded.
"Yes."
Ginjo smiled faintly.
"Fullbringers already draw power from Hollow remnants. We're not afraid."
Tsukishima followed,
"We're willing."
Renya nodded.
"Then first, I will restore Nelliel and her companions. After that, I will begin Hollowfication for Ginjo's group."
"As for complete ascension…"
"It will take at least four months until I finish refining the perfect Hōgyoku."
Renya stood.
"That's all. Ulquiorra take me to Aizen's former quarters."
The others dispersed.
Ulquiorra led Renya through the corridors and pushed open a heavy door.
Inside the chamber, two female figures stood waiting faces tense, eyes filled with anticipation as they looked toward Renya.
