Chapter 402:
The Reverse World.
When Hayashi Kaede arrived with two barrels of Grepa Berry Wine and a large pile of Wine Chocolates, Giratina almost immediately nodded.
(*Agreed.*)
"Great! Thank you so much, Giratina~ You truly are the most magnificent Lord of the Reverse World!"
Praise combined with delicious food and drink made Giratina feel a surge of energy. Hearing that someone had bullied this little human's Pokémon?
How could that be allowed?
This human kept giving it food and drink. Bullying him was like bullying Giratina itself!
Giratina's expression instantly turned grim.
The terrifying aura unique to the Lord of the Reverse World instantly reverberated throughout the entire dimension, causing the air currents around it to tremble.
(*Tell me the location. I shall annihilate them!*)
The mental voice echoed in Hayashi Kaede's mind, its icy tone making him freeze for a moment.
He quickly explained, "Not now, not now! I want your help to provide us with an escape route. As for fighting back, we'll leave that to Salamence itself."
Worried that this might hurt Giratina's pride, he added, "If we really run into trouble, we'll definitely ask for your help. After all, the strongest and most powerful should make the grand entrance at the end!"
This statement immediately caused the oppressive aura around Giratina to lessen slightly.
(*Agreed!*)
"Then I'm counting on you~"
Hayashi Kaede left the Wine Chocolates and returned to the real world through the water's surface.
Back in the Reverse World, Giratina watched the spot where Hayashi Kaede disappeared, its gaze calmly falling on the chocolates. The corners of its mouth slowly curved upwards.
It, Giratina, was the strongest!
That's why it was scheduled to appear last!
....
Back in the real world, Hayashi Kaede let out a sigh of relief.
Based on their recent interactions, he had started to think Giratina was a rather gentle dragon.
But the scene just now completely overturned that idea.
This wasn't gentleness; this was terrifying fierceness when provoked.
"Gardevoir?" (Did it agree?)
Gardevoir had been guarding the entrance to the Reverse World. Seeing Hayashi Kaede emerge, it couldn't help but ask.
"It agreed~" Hayashi Kaede nodded.
Gardevoir visibly relaxed. "Gardevoir~" (So next is Mewtwo?)
"Yes."
Hayashi Kaede enthusiastically took out his phone and immediately called Mewtwo.
It had been a while since he last saw Mewtwo.
He wondered where it was challenging now, if it had surpassed itself, if it had learned Mega Evolution...
But the call went unanswered.
It seemed Rotom wasn't with it?
Hayashi Kaede didn't think too much of it. With Mewtwo's strength, it could go anywhere in the world.
It was probably just in a place with no signal, which was normal.
So, after informing Gardevoir, he turned his attention to another matter:
Announcing the weekend closure.
This was simple; he just needed Rotom to post a short video.
The content would be: Closed for rest on weekends.
But shortly after the video was posted, the comments section exploded.
"What? Closed on weekends? Are you kidding me?"
"No way, Little Kaede, sob sob, two days! Do you know how hard it will be for us to get through the weekend at home without you open?"
"While we understand you must be tired, what does that have to do with us? Who gave you permission to take time off? Nooo!"
"Request denied..."
Hayashi Kaede just smiled and moved on after seeing all kinds of comments.
"It's a pity I didn't get to discuss this with Mew last time it was here." Hayashi Kaede felt a bit regretful.
Mew had left too quickly last time.
He didn't have time to talk to Mew about this.
However, with Mewtwo, Gardevoir, and Giratina on their side, there shouldn't be any unexpected issues.
But they still needed to prepare properly.
Speaking of which, Team Rocket had four executives: Athena, Apollo...
Who were the others again?
Hayashi Kaede's head started to ache.
The anime and games he watched/played were from eighteen years ago.
He could no longer remember all the Team Rocket members clearly.
The ones he remembered better were those two, the trio (Jessie, James, Meowth), the Cinnabar Island Gym Leader Blaine who participated in Mewtwo's creation.
Then there was Giovanni... and someone named... Iron-Masked Marauder?
That guy used a special Poké Ball to capture Celebi and made it use the forest's power to turn into a giant monster, which later Ash went to rescue.
What was that ball called again?
Hayashi Kaede felt that thing was dangerous.
After all, that ball first controlled a Tyranitar, then Celebi.
They definitely needed to be careful about it.
He just didn't know how it differed from the Dark Balls Mewtwo developed.
"And the location... Mewtwo should know that, right?"
Hayashi Kaede pondered for a while.
He felt that thinking about it here wasn't very useful.
They should probably go investigate the vicinity directly when the time came.
Having made up his mind, Hayashi Kaede stopped overthinking and began waiting for Mewtwo's reply.
About ten minutes later, Mewtwo called back.
This time, its location seemed to be a bedroom. Mewtwo had also transformed into the form of the pink-haired young man.
It had to be said, its human form was quite handsome—fair skin, features as sharp as if they came straight out of an anime.
*'Just slightly less handsome than me.'*
Hayashi Kaede muttered inwardly.
But upon closer inspection...
He sighed inwardly.
Okay, maybe a bit more handsome than him.
"Hey, hey, Mewtwo, where are you now?"
Hayashi Kaede didn't get straight to the point, intending to inquire about Mewtwo's travels first.
"Humans call this place 'Wind City.' Legend says the Ocean Current King, Lugia, comes here at certain times, bringing blessed winds."
Its target was clear: Lugia.
The young man on the other end stayed in the room, quietly looking at the screen on Rotom.
Hayashi Kaede spotted something. "Hey, you're staying at a hotel, right? That costs money. Where did you get the money?"
When it set out, Hayashi Kaede had provided food, but he remembered he seemed to have forgotten to give it money.
"Won it from battling trainers I met on the road." Mewtwo's tone remained calm.
"You caught more Pokémon?" Hayashi Kaede asked, surprised.
"No. I used an illusion on myself and battled personally."
"Huh?"
This maneuver made Hayashi Kaede's train of thought short-circuit for a moment. He imagined a Youngster jumping out on the road, running into Mewtwo, wanting an intense battle, but before it even started, the kid's eyes would glaze over, and the battle would be over.
This mental image made Hayashi Kaede remark, "Well, you're certainly living the life."
