I sighed "I can't say I wouldn't. To be fair though I could gain a seers power if I wanted to but that seems a fast way to ruin my life." I said helplessly.
"Oh? And why would you say that?" he asked curiously.
"Because seeing the future is flat out maddening. Why because of course you will try to change it if you see something you don't like! The thing about seeing the future though is that by knowing it you solidify it into place more often than not. It's better to just live one moment to the next without knowing." I said honestly.
He smiled lightly and nodded "It took me a long time to accept that. From the moment my gift awoke I believed I was destined to alter the flow of fate at my will. In truth I was merely it's harbinger." he said with a tired sigh.
"I couldn't tell you. My vision is only on the normal plane of view. Now then for your options in terms of worlds." I said clapping my hands as I changed the subject.
"Don't bother explaining them, I already heard it all and made my choice." he said with a hint of playful teasing.
"Take all the fun out of it why don't you? Fine, what did you choose?" I asked slightly annoyed.
"That world of machines, Cyberpunk I believe you said it was." he said calmly.
That made me look at him weirdly. Of all the places he could choose that one was honestly at the bottom of the list in terms of what I thought he'd pick. Not only was it a world without magic but the sheer amount of electrical based technology would make him cause problems that would draw attention.-
"I did mention that world was a dystopian nightmare right?" I asked confused.
"Yes, you were quite thorough about giving me all the information I'd need to make an educated decision." he said with a small upturn of his lips in amusement.
"To be blunt I have no idea why you would want to go there of all places. The one piece world or even the Ark world would be far better in terms of living. To be honest I assumed you'd choose the one piece world." I said frankly.
"It did tempt me. A world that not only was filled with marvels but encouraged exploration and strength. If I was still young and in my prime I would have absolutely chosen that place." He said shaking his head lightly.
"You want redemption." I whispered with wide eyes as I figured it out.
He nodded with a smile "That cyberpunk world you spoke of was devastated by the muggles. Almost a dead world. What better a place for an old wizard like me to go? There I can try and heal the land, fix it. I've no illusions of success but I believe that making an attempt might allow me to make up for my past mistakes." he said sincerely.
"You'd be heavily restricted in terms of magic you know? No magical plants or materials, no beasts, no ambient magic to draw from for runes." I said seriously.
He nodded "But that's where you come in no? You can simply trade with me what I might have need of." he says calmly.
"With all due respect what will you have to trade with after you give me the stashes here?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Knowledge of course. Can you really say that you wouldn't be tempted to know what I'd discover once fully unleashed on that world? Necessity is the mother of creation and in a world where I lack all magical means beyond my wand I'd certainly need to get creative." he said with a gleam in his silver eye.
"Tch, negotiating with a seer is kinda annoying." I said clicking my tongue.
He just smiled lightly "So I've been told." he said humorously.
"Fine then I agree but to be clear you do know I will be copying your magic abilities and skill correct?" I asked and he nodded.
"I have to accept being "owned" by you whether by defeat or willingly for this to work. You explained what this meant. I can't say I'm not envious. Just being able to steal a wizards full lifetimes worth of magical skill and special abilities at the low cost of merely defeating or having them submit to you. Tut tut, I never would have lost to Albus with such an advantage." he said with a sigh of wishful regret.
I shrugged "Probably but it's too late to dwell on "what if's" now. Those stashes information, hand it over so we can move this along." I said as I summoned a quill and inkpot alongside parchment for him to write it down on.
"Yes, I must admit I am rather eager to be free of these four walls." he said as he took the items from me and got to work.
I watched carefully and inwardly groaned at some of the things he wrote down. For example one of the stashes was located in Hogsmeade of all places right under Dumbledores nose. Another was booby trapped to blow sky high if not entered through a very specific method. There was even three that required Grindelwalds willingly given blood to enter or it would self destruct.
