A hundred years had passed.
In other words, it had been a century since Vision arrived on Earth to warn everyone.
To put it bluntly, did certain departments know about the Planet Eater's arrival a hundred years ago?
If so, how did those departments handle Vision's intelligence?
Considering Vision was a living alien who arrived in a spacecraft, Ultimate Tony figured that no matter which department he contacted, they couldn't have ignored him.
They must have taken it seriously.
The real question was whether the relevant departments had actually taken any countermeasures.
Ultimate Tony was determined to find out.
As soon as the spoiler ended, he decided to use his energy and network to secretly investigate the matter.
I wonder if S.H.I.E.L.D. and Professor X have found Vision's remains yet?
Talk about tragic. After crashing in Tunguska, he was captured by the Former Soviet Union.
She never even had a chance to issue a warning.
Severely damaged, she had been secretly studied by the Former Soviet Union ever since she was discovered.
Many of the Former Soviet Union's technological advancements were derived from studying Vision!
They even secretly created numerous Super Soldiers based on this research, all to counter the threat of Captain America!
Poor Vision—a lab rat for a full century!
*Whoa!*
Ultimate Tony froze for a moment.
He'd been privately complaining and speculating earlier, wondering which department might have learned Vision's secret, received his warning, and secretly prepared for the Planet Eater's arrival.
But now the diary revealed that Vision had never even had a chance to warn humanity!
After crashing, he'd been captured by the Former Soviet Union and treated like a lab rat!
*Well...*
Tunguska was indeed part of the Former Soviet Union's territory.
So Vision falling into their hands wasn't all that strange.
But... her?
So aliens have genders too, just like Earthlings?
Of course, that wasn't the main point. The real revelation was that the Soviet Union had actually produced many Super Soldiers?
Why had he never heard of this before?
Things were different now. Since Captain America's reappearance and the Ultimate Team's meteoric rise, a global frenzy had erupted to create Super Heroes.
Most countries had produced their own Super Heroes, but these were generally unremarkable, relying heavily on advanced equipment.
Tony had never heard of any of the successor states to the Soviet Union producing truly Super Soldiers.
Not those who relied on gear, but genuine Super Soldiers like Captain America, who possessed extraordinary powers!
Yet now, the diary was telling Ultimate Tony that the Former Soviet Union had actually created such Super Soldiers!
Which led to the question:
Where were those Super Soldiers?
Why had they never surfaced?
Could it be that the countries fractured by the former Soviet Union secretly possess this technology?
Another point: the diary explicitly mentions that Vision was discovered by Nick Fury and Professor X.
This forces Ultimate Tony to consider whether he should approach Nick Fury to discuss this matter.
If Fury has already discovered Vision, Tony could use it as an opportunity to gather intelligence about the impending threat of the Planet Eater.
If Fury hasn't yet discovered Vision, Tony would have to inform him of this crucial information, urging them to find Vision sooner and prepare for the Planet Eater's arrival!
**Key point: Vision in this universe is different from his counterpart in Universe 199999. He's not merely a robot, but a sentient mechanical being.**
**More precisely, he's a girl!**
**This means Vision can feel pain!**
**Fortunately, the fragmented Vision was eventually repaired, and Earth finally learned of the Planet Eater's impending arrival.**
And they made corresponding preparations and counterattacks!
Professor X's consciousness delved deep into space, connecting with the Planet Eater and discovering its weakness.
Reed also created a devastating weapon that scared the Planet Eater away in one fell swoop!
The big players of this universe are truly impressive.
A mechanical lifeform?
Tony from Universe 199999 was immediately surprised.
*Machine* and *lifeform*—in everyone's conventional understanding, these were two completely unrelated concepts.
But what about Vision from the neighboring universe?
He was an organic fusion of both—a lifeform and a machine!
Yet, upon further reflection, the Vision he and Reed had created wasn't strictly a pure robot either.
After all, he possessed biological tissue structures.
The only difference was that the fundamental units composing these structures were vibranium.
He had been regenerated by Helen Cho using the Regeneration Cradle!
In a way, he could also be considered a mechanical lifeform.
But the Vision from the neighboring universe had actually undergone a gender transformation, becoming a woman—something Tony hadn't anticipated.
Of course, that wasn't the main point.
The key lay in the strength of the Vision from the adjacent universe. It seemed inferior to the Vision he had created himself.
After all, the Tunguska Event occurred a full century ago! The Soviet Union hadn't even collapsed yet. Technology was extremely primitive then; even a superpower like the Soviet Union's military strength was limited.
Yet this Vision couldn't even handle such a situation? He'd been a guinea pig for a hundred years!
Even if the Vision was injured in the crash, such a "minor incident" would never have harmed the Vision from his own universe.
These clues all pointed to one conclusion: the Vision from the adjacent universe was indeed weak.
"A mechanical lifeform?"
The Ultimate Tony in Universe 1610 was even more surprised than the Tony from the adjacent universe.
The diary had mentioned that the original Soviet Union created a Super Soldier by researching Vision. At the time, Ultimate Tony had simply assumed the being was an alien.
But who could have imagined this alien was also mechanical?
What kind of lifeform was this?
Ultimate Tony had truly never heard of such a thing before!
Indeed, the universe was full of wonders.
Moreover, judging by the diary's spoilers, the Vision secretly imprisoned and researched by the original Soviet Union was eventually successfully rescued.
The other side also provided intelligence on the Planet Eater, and under Earth's active preparations and counterattacks, they had successfully resolved the threat!
This allowed Ultimate Tony to breathe a long sigh of relief.
At the same time, he felt a sense of surprise.
He knew Professor X's psionic abilities were formidable, practically godlike.
But he never imagined they could reach such an absurd level.
To actually project his consciousness into deep space!
*Holy shit, is this Professor X's true power?*
*That's... utterly astonishing!*
Ultimate Tony realized he had underestimated Professor X all along.
Then there was Reed.
He actually created a weapon to defeat the Planet Eater?
*As expected of the guy who touched the Multiverse and destroyed Asgard—even this is within his capabilities.*
Ultimate Tony wasn't surprised by this. Instead, another question surfaced in his mind.
The diary had mentioned that Kang the Conqueror traveled through time to find Reed specifically to counter the Planet Eater threat.
Now it seemed that Vision and Kang the Conqueror were actually working towards the same goal.
So... were these two allies?
Could it be that because Vision's ship crashed in Tunguska, delaying the warning to Earth by a full century, Kang the Conqueror was forced to travel through time?
Ultimate Tony considered this possibility.
But whether that was the case or not was beyond his ability to determine with certainty.
After briefly organizing his thoughts, Ultimate Tony refocused his attention on the diary.
Eager for the latest spoilers.
But as with previous entries, after revealing Vision's story, the diary abruptly stopped updating without warning.
Ultimate Tony was unfazed by this, calmly closing the diary interface.
"To the Triskelion!"
Leaning back in his seat to gather his thoughts, Ultimate Tony made a decision.
He casually instructed Happy, who was driving, about the new destination.
"Weren't you heading home?" Happy asked, slightly puzzled, confirming the revised itinerary.
"I've changed my mind," Ultimate Tony replied dismissively.
As Ultimate Tony's driver, Happy didn't argue when his boss gave an order.
He swiftly changed course and headed toward the Triskelion.
Meanwhile, Ultimate Tony called Egghead to schedule a meeting.
Although he had many tasks to handle, Ultimate Tony seemed to have something important to discuss. Nick Fury made arrangements to free up his schedule.
"Mr. Stark, please follow me."
"Director Fury is already waiting for you."
When Ultimate Tony arrived at the Triskelion, a clerk immediately approached him, leading the way with brisk energy.
"Stark? What a rare sight."
As they turned a corner, a woman with long, golden-blonde hair met Ultimate Tony's gaze. She greeted him with practiced familiarity.
"Captain Danvers, you look particularly stunning today."
Ultimate Tony was shamelessly flirtatious, his provocations completely undisguised. He was the very picture of a rakish, over-the-top playboy.
Yes, this Captain Danvers was the Carol Danvers from the neighboring universe.
However, this Carol Danvers was nothing like Captain Marvel; she was an ordinary woman.
Like Nick Fury, she worked at S.H.I.E.L.D. and held a high-ranking position within the organization.
Otherwise, after Nick Fury was dismissed as director, Carol wouldn't have been the one to succeed him.
Carol: "..."
Is this playboy flirting with her again?
*He really never changes.*
Everyone in the Ultimate Team, no, everyone in S.H.I.E.L.D., knew how hot things were between Stark and Natasha.
Carol had even heard that Stark had already proposed to Natasha!
Yet Carol saw no change in him whatsoever.
*Some rich guys just can't settle down.*
"Give it up, Stark. Your usual tricks might work on some girls, but not on me!"
Danvers rolled her eyes at Ultimate Tony without missing a beat, continuing on her way without looking back.
Ultimate Tony watched her retreating figure and shook his head.
*This woman buries herself in work all day, practically living at the Triskelion. What a waste of a face as stunning as Natasha's.*
He'd known her for years and never heard of her dating anyone.
*Should I... save her?*
*Nah, let's deal with the current crisis first.*
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Ultimate Tony followed the clerk into a conference room.
"Stark, I don't have much time. Get to the point!"
Egghead saw Ultimate Tony enter and, without any pleasantries, immediately waved him over, getting straight to the point.
"I'm here specifically to warn you."
Ultimate Tony casually sat down and immediately stated his purpose to Nick Fury.
"A warning?" Nick Fury's eyebrow arched.
For someone of Stark's stature to come see him in person, something truly significant must have happened.
"Hank created some Ultron Robots and sent them to you. Remember that?" Ultimate Tony asked directly, meeting Nick Fury's gaze.
"Of course. You even acted as his intermediary. So, what is it?" Nick Fury spread his hands, his one eye fixed on Ultimate Tony.
"After you refused Hank, he gave the Ultron Robots to an organization called the Liberators."
"Liberators?"
Nick Fury immediately fell into deep thought. He had never heard of this organization before.
So, was Stark telling him that Hank had joined another superhero group?
But didn't he join the Defenders earlier?
Well, Hank had certainly made a huge blunder recently, becoming a laughingstock once again.
It wasn't surprising that he couldn't stay with the Defenders.
It seemed Hank had "changed jobs" again, joining another superhero organization.
But if he wanted to join, let him join.
Since Hank had been kicked out of the Ultimate Team, Fury naturally had no control over his future.
As long as he didn't use his Giant-Man identity.
But since Stark had come to him specifically about this, could it be that this "Liberators" organization was something special?
