Chapter 322 - Little Spider Goes on a Mission, Everyone More Nervous Than He Is

From Thor's perspective, he certainly disliked short hair. His long, flowing hair was something he took great pride in, but to adapt to Earth's environment, he had been forced to cut it. He had even started wearing suits.

Everyone noticed this, and they had to admit that Thor was growing up, becoming more mature.

The mark of maturity was no longer acting impulsively and doing whatever he pleased.

"Today is another Spider-Man special. Tony, this is your godson," Black Widow Natasha said.

Tony Stark shrugged, not arguing. He was already accustomed to the teasing that Peter Parker was like his son, even though they weren't related by blood.

"He's already become Spider-Man. According to the information I have, this kid has started learning to be a street hero, New York's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man," Tony said. "But this Vulture... Jarvis, do you have any information on this Vulture in the database?"

"No need to trouble Jarvis for this. I already know," Nick Fury said. "According to our S.H.I.E.L.D. intelligence, this Vulture seems to be a recently emerged criminal group specializing in selling Chitauri weapons. They're still small-scale, just beginning to draw our attention."

"I see. Let's monitor the situation," Tony Stark said, opting not to immediately eliminate Vulture. Since Lin Feng had mentioned he was one of Little Spider's arch-nemeses, letting him hone his skills against him seemed like a good idea.

After all, Vulture didn't appear to be particularly dangerous, and with Little Spider's abilities, he should be able to handle him.

"But you should keep an eye on him too," Captain Rogers interjected. "According to Lin Feng, this kid will eventually lose everyone he cares about and become purely Spider-Man. Many of us have already experienced this, but he's still young. He still has a chance!"

He was living proof of this himself. Slowly but surely, his life as Steve Rogers had faded, leaving only his existence as Captain America.

The others nodded in agreement, clearly understanding the implications.

Many of them shared similar struggles.

Meanwhile, in a New York hospital, Stephen Strange glanced at the day's diary entry. *That Little Spider again?*

He recalled the previous time the diary had mentioned his interactions with Peter Parker, the Little Spider. *It all ended up in a complete mess. Not exactly fond memories.*

*Still, he's just a kid. I can't expect too much from him.*

At home, Spider-Woman Gwen was eagerly reading the diary. She'd noticed the new entries: *Spider-Man, Spider-Woman*. *Clearly from the same series.*

As someone chosen by the Spider Totem herself, she couldn't help but be curious about Peter Parker.

*It's even rumored that in some alternate realities, they were close to being a couple.*

He really did this... I'm crying! Tony Stark probably doesn't care this much about his own daughter, Morgan. I hope you do better, tsk tsk, just wow. Who wouldn't be moved?

Tony Stark showed no reaction to Lin Feng's teasing in the diary. He simply clicked on the newly released video within the diary and began watching.

The video opened with Peter Parker, the Little Spider, landing on a cruise ship.

"Alright, Karen, activate enhanced reconnaissance mode!" the Little Spider said, cautiously beginning to scan the ship's passengers.

"No problem!"

Karen, the artificial intelligence of the Spider-Man Suit, replied.

Soon, filtered audio voices filled everyone's ears:

"He's on the main deck up ahead!"

"I hate that guy!"

"Stay in constant contact!"

"The guy from under the bridge that day, right? Who's the other one?" Little Spider Peter Parker recognized one of them.

Karen's voice, processed by the AI, quickly came through: "No relevant records found in my behavioral database!"

"There's a call from May Parker. Should I display it on the current monitor?" Karen continued.

"I can't take it right now. I'll call her back later!" Peter Parker whispered.

Anyone watching this could tell without a doubt that this was a future version of Little Spider tracking a criminal gang.

However, everyone also recognized the suit's unmistakable Tony Stark-esque high-tech features.

Especially the AI, which was clearly Tony Stark's work, and the brief glider function.

There was no doubt that this suit had been crafted by Tony Stark himself.

Tony Stark nodded, this also seemed like his handiwork. After all, he had made him the Iron Spider Suit, so making another set was perfectly reasonable.

For instance, the suit he had invited him to wear during the Avengers Civil War.

But he immediately frowned. "That kid's skipping class again."

He noticed that Peter Parker, the Little Spider in the video, didn't even dare answer Aunt May's phone call, clearly feeling guilty about something.

Tony felt a surge of displeasure. In his eyes, a kid his age should be sitting in class, not out playing hero.

In America, the elite and the underclass were like two different species.

For children from the lower classes, happiness was enough; education wasn't necessary, so skipping class to play was common. But for the elite, their values would never tolerate their children playing during school hours.

Their children were pushed to the brink, with some schools openly telling them that they were destined to rule the world as politicians and businessmen, and that to benefit humanity, they must work even harder.

As they watched the scene, the group began to feel tense. They realized that they had never felt this anxious even during their own missions.

As they watched Little Spider tracking the criminals, everyone couldn't help but grow tense. Unconsciously, they had come to see this young man they had never actually met in real life as one of their own, like a nephew.

Watching this younger, nephew-like figure go on his first mission stirred a sense of protectiveness.

Soon, Little Spider, Peter Parker, followed the tiny drone to the ship's deck.

"Who's the guy on the left?" Peter Parker asked.

"Mike Gargoyle! Multiple criminal records, including murder!" Karen replied. "Shall I activate instant kill mode?"

"No, Karen! Don't mention instant kill mode to me again!" Peter Parker said hastily, flustered.

Clearly, instant kill mode was far too lethal for his liking.

This was undoubtedly Tony Stark's doing.

Soon, the key information about the criminals' meeting point emerged: a white pickup truck.

Peter Parker instructed, "Drone, search the ship for a white pickup truck!"

Within moments, the drone had located the white pickup truck.

"This is perfect!" Spider-Man Peter Parker exclaimed. "The buyers and sellers of the weapons are at the same location..."

"Not bad. At least you're using your brain," Tony Stark said, nodding approvingly. He was pleased to see the young man making good use of the high-tech gear he'd installed on him.

Although he disapproved of Peter skipping class, he couldn't deny the boy's intelligence.

But soon, Tony's phone rang, and Little Spider Peter Parker immediately panicked.

"I knew it! That kid's definitely skipping class!"

Tony's face darkened, and he wasn't pleased at all.

He'd skipped class plenty himself during his rebellious teenage years, which was why his father had sent him to boarding school—a decision that indirectly led to him missing his father's final moments.

But now, as a father himself, he found himself repeating the same mistake his own father had made.

Though he tried his best not to repeat his father's mistakes and hoped to be different from him, his underlying mindset might have been the same. He also wanted Little Spider to receive a complete education rather than skipping class to play hero.

*This kind of thing should be left to adults.*

"Mr. Parker, got a minute?" Tony Stark asked.

"I'm at school!" Little Spider Peter Parker hastily stammered in excuse.

"You're not at school!" Karen immediately called him out without hesitation.

In Karen's system, the true primary user remained Tony Stark, not Little Spider Peter Parker.

"That rescue in Washington D.C. was impressive!" Tony Stark said.

*The Washington D.C. rescue?*

A question mark popped into everyone's minds. Without a doubt, it was another detail they hadn't known before. Something else must have happened, and this kid had handled it well.

Little Spider Peter Parker just wanted to hang up quickly. "Fine!"

"My own father never really cared about me or encouraged me!" Tony Stark said. "I want to break that vicious cycle now!"

"Can we talk about this next time?" Peter Parker tried to end the call.

"Don't interrupt me when I'm praising you!" Tony Stark said, a hint of displeasure on his face.

He was clearly trying to be a different kind of mentor than his own father.

"Anyway, there will be more big events in the future. What's that sound?" Tony Stark heard the blast of a ship's horn.

"That's me practicing with the orchestra!" Little Spider couldn't admit the truth.

"That's strange. Happy said you quit the band six weeks ago!" Tony Stark said, his voice tinged with suspicion. "What's going on?"

Tony Stark, being as sharp as he was, immediately sensed something was wrong.
