Chapter 86 - 86. Water Girl

Footsteps could be heard in the tunnels outside the cave.

A faint light shone inward.

There was no time to lose!

Alan quickly grabbed the dead rat he had prepared.

He squeezed out a little blood plasma and smeared it on his forehead.

He pretended to be knocked unconscious by a club and crouched in the corner of the mine.

A short time later, Moss and Jenny followed them.

In fact, as soon as the two entered the intricate tunnels, Alan had already used his "detection virus" to sense the beast virus in the two men and predicted their whereabouts.

Therefore, he made this deal with the ogre brothers.

Moss and Jenny wandered around in the maze-like mine.

It took a while before they found the large pit where the ogre brothers lived.

Using the "Dancing Lights" technique to illuminate the area, he could immediately spot Alan collapsed in the corner, blood still smeared on his head.

The ogre closest to him, clutching a large club, grinned wickedly.

"Stop!"

Moss quickly called out, trying to stop the ogre's attack.

He was still hoping to extract information about the Plague Statue's whereabouts from Alan.

How could he be allowed to die so easily at the hands of an ogre's club?

"You sneaky-looking brat, breaking into my house? What are you trying to do?!" Big Head was furious.

"Ogre! Hold on! I want to make a deal with you!"

Moss shouted hastily.

"Give me that unconscious guy, and I'll trade him for rats—enough rat meat for two full meals!"

"No, no, no! Big Mouth doesn't want to eat a stinking, dead rat!"

Big Mouth shook his head like a rattle.

"If you want a trade, take that tender, delicious-looking woman!"

Jenny's face paled with fear when she heard this.

She tiptoed back.

But it was too late.

Moss turned around and grabbed her wrist, his eyes sinister.

"Little girl, don't leave so quickly!"

"What are you trying to do?" Jenny secretly regretted coming here. "Are you really going to make a deal with the ogres?"

"Hehe..." Moss lowered his voice and whispered in her ear. "Those two big idiots, aren't they easy to fool?"

"I'll pretend to tie you up. Go along with the act. Once I succeed, you'll..."

Jenny's face changed dramatically.

She didn't think Moss's idea was a good one.

The risk was too great, and she would have to bear it all.

But now, living under someone else's roof, she had no room for negotiation.

She had no choice but to bite the bullet and accept Moss's arrangement.

Moss, with her hands feignedly tied behind her back, shoved Jenny into the mine.

Jenny played along, feigning weakness. She stumbled forward two steps and fell into the corner.

Big Mouth nodded with satisfaction, grabbed the "unconscious" Allen, and casually tossed him at Moss's feet.

The two sides thus achieved their desired ends, completing the transaction.

The moment the deal was completed, the rope around Jenny's wrist suddenly fell free!

"Celume!"

Chanting a spell symbolizing "flowing water," Jenny thrust her left hand forward, fingers spread wide, a halo of aquamarine magic surging.

A "water pressure sphere" flew from her palm.

With a puff, it landed at the feet of the ogre brothers.

The sphere exploded, sending a cascade of high-pressure water gushing out, scattering wildly in all directions!

Big Head and Big Mouth were caught off guard.

Both brothers fell to the ground in the rush of high-pressure water.

Their bodies were covered in wounds, scars that resembled knife cuts! The ogre was fat and strong, so the minor injuries weren't a big deal.

However, Jenny's preemptive attack deeply enraged the two brothers.

Big Mouth scrambled to his feet, roared, and lunged at the sorceress.

Jenny's face paled, and she suppressed her fear as she hurriedly cast a spell.

She cast a "Grease" spell right at her feet.

With her standing point as the center, within a 10-meter radius, a layer of black, slippery grease suddenly appeared on the ground.

Big Mouth's footing slipped, and with a whoosh, he fell flat on his face.

The back of his head hit the ground hard, his head buzzing and his eyes dazzled.

Big Head, seeing his brother's defeat, was so angry that he grabbed a stone.

He aimed at Jenny and threw it with all his might!

The sorceress reacted quickly.

Seeing the ogre grasping at the stone, he knew something was amiss and decisively shed his white robe.

The tender white body, like melting ice and snow, quickly collapsed to the ground, narrowly dodging the incoming rock!

Bang!

The rock smashed into the stone wall behind Jenny, shattering instantly.

At this moment, Jenny had transformed from flesh and blood into a large pool of clear water, floating above the oily mud. A vague human form could still be discerned.

This was her atavistic transformation—water elemental form!

Big Head had never seen anything so bizarre.

He paused for a moment, then grabbed his wooden club.

Carefully, he approached the human-shaped pool of water.

He raised the club high, intending to strike the water and drive the sorceress out.

Before the club even dropped, Jenny, in her water elemental form, transformed again! The previously calm surface of the water suddenly erupted into ripples.

The water spun at high speed, forming a massive vortex!

Big Head's feet were caught in the accumulated water, pulled by the vortex's centripetal force.

It was as if an invisible hand beneath the surface was tugging at his feet.

Frightened, Big Head stumbled.

He unexpectedly stepped on underwater grease, and his footing slipped.

Plop!

Following Big Mouth, Big Head also took a hard tumble.

"Grease Magic" combined with "Water Element: Whirlpool Form."

The bulky ogre brothers, under Jenny's dual control, were in an awkward position.

Just as they struggled to their feet, they fell back to the ground, splashing heavily.

The two brothers were in a state of disarray, cursing in anger.

On the other side of the mine. Plague Warlock Moss was about to awaken the unconscious Alan and interrogate him for the whereabouts of the Plague God statue.

Jenny hadn't expected her to be so impatient, attacking without even saying hello.

"Foolish woman! More trouble than good!"

Moss cursed in anger.

Of course he could see it.

Jenny seemed to have the upper hand, but it was simply a surprise attack.

With her abilities, she could only temporarily control the ogre brothers, but couldn't effectively harm them.

Once the brothers recovered, a couple of punches would destroy her!

By then, it would be Moss's turn to suffer.

Should he abandon Jenny, pick up the unconscious Alan, and run away?

This rather tempting thought swirled in Moss's mind.

However, thinking of Jenny's slender figure and tender skin, especially since her boyfriend had just died...

The "widow" identity tickled his fancy.

Moss hadn't yet fully toyed with this sorceress, and watching her being devoured alive by the ogre brothers was a bitter pill to swallow.

Gulp!

Moss swallowed hard, turned to face the mine, and unleashed the mystical art of the Beast Cult, summoning a swarm of rats.

Next, he would pray to Squark, the Plague God, for divine grace and perform the "Rat Transformation" ritual.

Transform all these rats into ferocious giant rats!

Controlling the swarm of giant rats, he besieged the ogre brothers and rescued Jenny.

Just as he was concentrating on his prayers...

Alan, lying "unconscious" on the ground, suddenly raised his hand and blasted a bolt of lightning at him!
