The Lion King, in essence, was a new entity born from the fusion of King Arthur's personality with the "personality" of the Holy Lance Rhongomyniad.
The divinity brought by Rhongomyniad suppressed Arthur's humanity. Fortunately, the lance lacked true self-awareness, so even now, the Lion King was still Arthur... just an Arthur with a drastically altered personality and approach.
At this moment, the Lion King and Morpheus clashed in battle.
The King of Knights lunged forward, her form accelerating instantly, covering dozens of meters as if distance didn't exist. Amid the bursting air, her lance tip thrust toward Morpheus!
In that instant, the lance was mere millimeters from his body!
The protective spell constructed by Morpheus's magic was pierced by the lance's power... an inherent ability of Rhongomyniad, a tool that anchors the world's surface, standing among the highest existences in the Nasuverse universe.
Thus, it breached Morpheus's magical defenses.
But when it touched the clothes on his body, the attack stalled, as if meeting an impenetrable barrier!
Boom!
Morpheus was hurled back by the immense force. Though it couldn't break his defenses, the impact was undeniable, sending his body soaring through the air at supersonic speed!
Then, the transcendent power of the divine realm manifested, transforming into the domain of the Holy Lance Rhongomyniad, the realm of the Lord of Storms!
The world was reshaped in that moment, rules favoring the Lion King converging here. Everything in this place belonged to her!
Morpheus's body slowed mid-air, radiant light blooming behind him, forming what looked like wings... wings woven entirely of flames!
This was Michael's power. The flaming sword in Morpheus's hand shone brighter, and with a single swing, the entire world trembled!
The earth roared, the sky fractured, and amid howling winds, faint thunder echoed!
The four archangels shielded Morpheus's body, allowing him to land and stride forward.
A flicker of surprise crossed the Lion King's face, though it was faint. She raised Rhongomyniad, divine energy coalescing around it. Leaping into the clouds, she summoned a golden lance that descended from the skies!
Its target: the blasphemer!
"I don't need to be chosen by some Holy Lance Rhongomyniad. By my own will, I wield the power of the four archangels!" Morpheus declared.
His feet moved, and he broke the sound barrier, soaring upward. Facing the Lion King descending with her lance, he swung his flaming sword from below.
Michael, the Right Hand of God, wields divine authority. Facing Rhongomyniad, Morpheus proclaimed, "Heretical existence, you are the demon!"
Boom!
The holy power shattered the massive shadow of the lance, Michael's demon-breaking force piercing through, clashing directly with the Lion King's physical lance.
Boom!
The collision of their weapons... Morpheus's, though merely a transformed, blessed staff imbued with a fraction of Michael's power... couldn't breach Rhongomyniad's structure.
Yet, as a top-tier divine construct, Rhongomyniad couldn't damage the flaming sword either. In their stalemate, ferocious energy erupted outward from the two, like an airburst nuclear explosion, obliterating everything within a hundred-kilometer radius!
"As expected of the tool that pins the planet's surface, defining the world's rules in a limited scope…" Morpheus mused, his body enveloped in swirling magical energy, forming a new spell to erect fresh defenses.
His figure moved again, activating a sanctification spell. His body began approaching the state of the original Holy Son, surpassing human limits.
In that moment, he became a blur.
For the first time, the Lion King showed genuine shock. A human displaying such immense power, with figures behind him radiating potent divinity, each akin to the mightiest of gods.
How did this human command these deities?
How did he forge contracts with them?
"Come, Lion King! Let's hold nothing back and clash with full force!" Morpheus laughed, his speed still increasing!
"I declare my magic name: Veritas000, the Seeker of Truth!"
As always, proclaiming his magic name, Morpheus displayed his resolve. Even if others didn't understand the ritual, his action conveyed his unyielding determination.
This was a battle of convictions, a clash of core beliefs with no room for retreat!
In that instant, at the world's end, two figures moved faster than human eyes could track. In the empty expanse ahead, bursts of air exploded sporadically, gales arose from nowhere, and the earth shattered, leaving craters.
Even with Bedivere's eyes, he could barely make out two faint blurs.
Their speed had surpassed his dynamic vision's limits!
Yet his ears clearly registered the ferocity of their combat.
The continuous sound, like a single strike echoing for minutes, indicated their clashes reached hundreds of blows per second!
"Hm? That's…" Bedivere suddenly noticed a golden book floating in the air where Morpheus had stood, its pages turning as if an invisible hand wielded a quill, writing something.
Curious, he approached and glanced at the pages, discovering they recorded the events unfolding in this world.
It was documenting Morpheus's battle with the Lion King!
And somehow, Bedivere sensed a familiar power in the recorded words.
That power was Rhongomyniad's, and even King Arthur's own!
Though merely records, Bedivere felt these writings could transform into magecraft... or even magic... manifesting as new power!
He had seen Morpheus draw this book and summon Zeus's lightning to directly counter Rhongomyniad!
Did that mean Zeus's thunder was recorded in a similar way?
How terrifying was this human? His mastery of magic and magecraft now seemed to Bedivere to possibly surpass even Merlin.
"This is absurd!" Inside Chaldea, Roman muttered, observing the battle.
Despite possessing Solomon's wisdom and knowledge of nearly all magecraft, he was stunned by Morpheus and the Lion King's fight.
This was a battle transcending humanity, reaching the realm of gods. Both the Lion King and Morpheus wielded power capable of slaying ordinary Servants or even Heroic Spirits single-handedly!
Even Grand Servants, without specialized conceptual powers from the Root, would be easily defeated by such beings.
Da Vinci, stroking her chin, watched with fascination. "Not bad! Even slowed down several times, it's hard to follow. Good thing Sheba's observation capabilities are strong enough, with a high enough frame rate."
Since Morpheus often acted alone, a dedicated monitoring line had been set up for him, alongside Mash and Ritsuka, providing full surveillance.
Olga Marie watched, her heart racing.
"Is this the height Morpheus's magical theory can reach?!"
"Yes, and clearly, he hasn't even reached his peak," Roman nodded. "A unique occult theory where paradoxical elements coexist through special methods. Truly remarkable."
Olga Marie gripped her skirt tightly. "Full monitoring... this is a rare chance. A god walking the mortal world isn't easy to come by. The Lion King is our best subject for observation!"
"Agreed!" Roman nodded, and Da Vinci quickly enhanced the observation precision. They all knew that after this battle, the Lion King would vanish. Even if a Servant based on her could be summoned later, it wouldn't be a god in the mortal world but a downgraded ordinary Servant.
At best, a Grand Servant... but without a Grand Saint Graph, perhaps not even that.
This was indeed the best chance to observe!
At the world's end, Morpheus and the Lion King's battle reached its climax.
The flaming sword in Morpheus's hand vanished, replaced by his symbolic artifacts orbiting around him.
The staff he once held now floated alongside the Holy Grail, astrolabe, and dagger, like four satellites circling him.
Morpheus clenched his fist, closing in on the Lion King at blinding speed. His punch bypassed the lance, striking her chest armor heavily.
Boom!
Amid the explosion came a second, third, and fourth punch, relentless like a finishing move in a fighting game. In an instant, hundreds of blows landed on a small area of her chest!
The powers of earth, wind, water, and fire converged on his fist, forming a unique magical attack, as if returning to primal chaos. Combined with the physical enhancement from his Holy Son transformation, both his raw physical strength and magical attacks were terrifying.
The Lion King's armor showed clear dents, its once-shining surface dulled and wrinkled.
Feeling the erupting power within, the Lion King suppressed the backlash, unleashing Rhongomyniad's power as a golden halo that spread outward.
Like a defensive measure, it pushed away anything near her, annihilating those too weak.
Creating distance, she raised Rhongomyniad high, chanting its True Name: "Holy Lance Rhongomyniad, in the name of the World's Anchor, I declare this body the pillar upholding the world!"
Unlike a typical True Name declaration, this was an extended invocation, fully unleashing the lance's true power.
Her voice became waves... seventy-two layers of divine chanting. The world turned azure, like a sea of stars.
Stardust converged, forming Rhongomyniad's ultimate power, embodying the concepts of piercing and anchoring... a force meant for planetary worlds, now aimed at a single human.
Morpheus smiled, facing this devastating attack capable of piercing all. He grinned widely, and a book appeared in his empty hand.
An ordinary Bible, the kind you'd find in a street-side bookstore.
He opened it.
"Saint Christopher, seeking a lord worthy of following, once served a demon, for which he repented deeply.
"Until he met the Son of God, bearing the weight of the world... a burden so great it nearly drowned him. Through the staff he held, he found his true lord, the Son of God!!
"The anointed Son of God!!!"
The true world became a concept, its weight imposed on the Lion King.
Rhongomyniad anchors the "world," or the planet's surface, but it's not unique. Anchoring the surface requires many lances; a single one cannot oppose the world itself.
This was a conceptual failure!
The world Morpheus invoked... the world created by God, the material universe itself... equated to its infinite mass. If Morpheus's power were sufficient, that infinite mass would crush the Lion King!
Though his strength fell short, the equivalent mass of a planet was still imposed on her... not just the surface, but its entirety, from within and without!
In that moment, the Lion King couldn't move! Had Morpheus not held back, she would have been crushed by the world's weight!
