Olga Marie stared at the screen, which showed Morpheus and the others in the core area. Her attention, however, was fixed on the beautiful woman who had appeared.
Artemis, the Greek Moon Goddess, one of the Olympian deities!
And this was her true divine form!
Ordinarily, this would have shocked her, but now it barely registered. She was far more preoccupied with the intimate interactions between Artemis and Morpheus.
"Back in the Singularity, those two were always glued together. Now that he's summoned her, they'll probably be inseparable like he is with Medea!" Olga Marie thought, clenching her teeth.
At that moment, the door opened, and Roman walked in. "Director, I have a report regarding Artemis," He said.
He glanced at Olga Marie's screen and smiled. "Oh, I see you're already keeping an eye on the Moon Goddess."
"Huh? Oh, yes! I'm already monitoring her," Olga Marie replied, relieved that Roman hadn't seen through her real reason for watching. She feigned nonchalance and asked, "So, what's the issue?"
The cold light from the screen cast faint ripples across her face as she unconsciously twirled a pen between her fingers, a nervous habit reflecting her inner agitation.
"Take a look at this," Roman said, handing her a stack of documents. Olga Marie scanned the contents, her expression turning to shock. "It could cause irreversible catastrophic damage to Earth itself?"
"Exactly," Roman nodded. "According to Da Vinci's analysis, with Artemis in her true form, at her maximum output, she could wield power equivalent to the moon itself. The damage wouldn't be limited to the surface."
"You're saying Artemis walking on Earth is like a being with the moon's power sealed inside her? If she unleashed it, it'd be like crashing the moon into the planet?"
"Precisely," Roman confirmed. "Our past calculations were off. The Earth of the Age of Gods is vastly different from today's. Things that were inconsequential back then could cause apocalyptic disasters now."
Olga Marie fell silent for a moment before waving her hand dismissively. "Actually, I don't think we need to worry too much…"
Seeing her sudden shift, Roman looked puzzled. She continued, "Morpheus has already advanced, hasn't he? Artemis might pose a threat to Earth, but if Morpheus went all out, it wouldn't just be Earth... the entire world would be done for, right?"
Roman relaxed, realizing she was absolutely right.
Earth? Small potatoes. If someone in Chaldea went all out, the whole world would be obliterated.
"And if I'm not mistaken, Morpheus's phase has an Arthur in it... well, the Lion King, a deified Arthur. Her power is growing with the myth's development. If the myths are accurate, her strength now might be several times greater than during the Singularity."
"The Lion King…?" Roman mused.
"Yes, the Lion King. Morpheus is even crafting new incantations for her, to borrow her power or summon her avatar. For Chaldea, mastering these incantations is the priority."
Olga Marie smiled faintly. "Chaldea is at its strongest ever. Even without Morpheus, we have two true gods and several beings on par with Grand Servants."
As long as she ignored Artemis and Morpheus's relationship, Olga Marie felt the future would be smooth sailing... no need to obsess over defeating Goetia.
Goetia? How much power could it have? Could it match this lineup?
But ignoring their relationship proved difficult. Despite her efforts, thoughts of them crept in, disrupting her focus and stirring her heart.
Her face fell again, and she said to Roman, "You can go now. Don't come back unless there's something urgent."
Roman noticed her sudden dejection and glanced at the screen, where Morpheus and Artemis were chatting and laughing. Understanding dawned, but he said nothing and left.
The number of women close to Morpheus was growing, making Olga Marie's emotional path increasingly challenging.
Roman understood but couldn't say much.
At the very least, he couldn't encourage a modern woman to pursue a taken man.
…
Da Vinci sipped her tea, studying the data. "Incredible. According to SHEBA's calculations, Artemis's Saint Graph in her true form registers at A++ divine core level. There's a fundamental difference between her true form and a Servant's manifestation.
"But if that's the case, what level would Zeus's divine core reach? A+++?
"It can't be EX, can it? If it's EX, we'd need to recalculate the baseline…"
Muttering to herself, she suddenly recalled Morpheus's summoning of Shiva, sparking her curiosity. "Speaking of which, what level was that Shiva's divine core? Since it was inside the temple, we couldn't gather any data… It might have been beyond detection."
Unable to contain herself, Da Vinci opened the communicator. "Morpheus, let's discuss something."
Morpheus's voice came through. "What's up?"
"You're planning another summoning ritual, right?" Da Vinci said, quickly adding, "I mean a divine summoning, not a Servant."
Morpheus sounded puzzled. "I am. Is there a problem?"
Excited that he confirmed her guess, Da Vinci said, "How about I set up some detection devices in the temple during your summoning?"
"You want to collect data?"
"Yes, exactly. I'm fascinated by these mythic-level gods. If possible, I'd love to study them. Don't worry... I'll ensure it doesn't interfere with your summoning."
Morpheus paused before replying, "The issue is, my summoning circle isolates the interior from the exterior."
Da Vinci froze. She hadn't considered that.
Morpheus's summoning magic might resemble a Servant summoning circle, but his circle also acted as a seal, preventing divine power from leaking out and separating the inside from the outside like two distinct worlds.
This protected the summoner but also blocked external detection. Unless the devices were placed inside the circle, they'd be useless... and foreign objects inside could disrupt the summoning.
As she pondered solutions, Morpheus's voice came again.
"Why not detect an angel?"
"An angel?" Da Vinci was stunned. Morpheus's tone was matter-of-fact. "Yes, angels. I can summon stronger archangels now. I won't summon their true forms to avoid a world crisis, but a stronger avatar than before is doable."
It was a viable option, though the strength of summoned angels was controlled by Morpheus, making their Saint Graph's strength artificially adjusted and harder to study.
But there weren't better alternatives.
"What strength are you aiming for?"
"Let me think. You want to measure something like last time's Shiva, right?"
"Exactly."
"Then I'll summon an archangel's power at about that level." Morpheus raised his hand. "I'm starting. Make sure to record the data."
Divine power descended around him. The winged archangel Gabriel floated nearby, its power serene and unshaken.
But no matter how calm, SHEBA's readings captured the divine energy, feeding the data to Da Vinci's eyes.
Gabriel's divine power intertwined, forming a hidden Tree of Life. These miniature Trees weren't static but restructured with the angel's breath, creating a peculiar mathematical framework.
"Incredible!" Da Vinci's holographic projection flickered from data overload. "This isn't just an energy aggregate... it's a living cosmic model!"
"Though I've limited the power's projection, an archangel's true form is equivalent to a world itself. Calling it a living cosmic model isn't wrong," Morpheus said.
"Dual waveform detected in the Saint Graph!" Da Vinci's voice trembled with excitement. "EX-level divine core fluctuation! But it's shifting... now stabilizing at A+++!"
A peculiar change. Da Vinci considered a possibility.
"It's self-regulating its state, even adjusting its own divine core strength?"
"Yes, to maintain stability and minimize environmental impact," Morpheus nodded. Compared to his past angel summonings, these could now act independently, not just as power sources.
Even at the same strength as before, a freely acting archangel could unleash far greater power than Morpheus's earlier summons.
Once Da Vinci confirmed the data was recorded, Morpheus dispelled the summoning, letting Gabriel's figure fade. He didn't ask about Da Vinci's sudden silence, knowing she was likely immersed in her research, undisturbed.
Artemis, having finished the tour, leaned gently against Morpheus.
"Shall we head back?" She whispered in his ear, her warm breath grazing his earlobe, her tongue brushing it lightly. "I mean your bedroom~"
Unfazed by onlookers, Artemis was as direct and passionate as ever.
…
Moonlight, stirred by divine power, filtered through the curtains, casting dappled patterns on the bedsheets. Artemis's silver hair spilled across the pillow like liquid mercury.
Propped on her elbow, her nightgown slipped to reveal a soft shoulder curve, her gaze fixed on Morpheus lying beside her. "I waited a long time for this summoning. You're not resting tonight."
Her eyes were gentle yet held a hunter's certainty. To Artemis, Morpheus was her prey, a target she was determined to claim.
Compared to her avatar's summoning, the true Artemis was far more assertive. She straddled Morpheus, pinning him with her weight, grabbing his wrists with her right hand and holding them above his head, as if binding them.
Her hair fell, draping over his eyes like a silver veil, followed by a deep kiss!
Medea was absent tonight, willingly giving Morpheus entirely to the newly arrived Moon Goddess.
When morning came and Morpheus awoke, he saw the girl smiling at him, her beautiful eyes filled only with his reflection.
Seeing him stir, Artemis said softly, "Morning."
A gentle morning kiss followed. Morpheus got out of bed. After the night's indulgence, the bed would need a thorough tidying.
"Let's see... breakfast first, then you're planning to summon the Primordial Shakti, right?" Artemis asked.
Morpheus nodded lightly. "Yes, we can't delay. The sooner, the better."
He glanced at her captivating figure and grinned. "But before that, how about a shower together?"
