Chapter 421: Breaking the Seal
Having already exhausted all his chakra, Ōtsutsuki Toneri was naturally powerless to resist being transformed into an Evil Gold by the Dark Emperor.
A surge of dark shadow energy wrapped around Toneri's entire body.
"The seal imprisoning Ōtsutsuki Kaguya is just ahead."
Now fully converted into a new Evil Gold, Toneri took the lead and spoke while guiding the way forward.
The dark shadow energy enveloped not just his body but also his mind.
At this point, Toneri had become the Dark Emperor's most loyal subordinate.
What appeared before them was a magnificent palace.
Four individuals stood at the palace's four corners—east, west, south, and north.
Immense dark shadow energy erupted from each of them, surging toward the palace that held the seal on Ōtsutsuki Kaguya.
Though there were unique methods to undo the seal, brute-forcing it with overwhelming shadow energy was also a viable option.
Meanwhile, at the Hero Prison...
"Naruto, you felt it too, didn't you?"
Sasuke glanced at Naruto, who stood beside him, his entire body glowing with fiery red light.
"Yeah."
Naruto nodded solemnly, then looked up at the sky locked down by chains. Even he had lost track of how long he had been imprisoned here.
During his time here, he had met five other Super Saiyans, and with their guidance, had mastered the technique to become a Super Saiyan God. He hoped to harness that divine power to break through the seal.
Right now, Naruto was undergoing intense training focused on the Super Saiyan God mode.
Since the seal on Kaguya had been set by Naruto and Sasuke themselves, they naturally sensed when it began to unravel.
"I wonder what the shinobi world looks like now," Naruto said, turning to Sasuke. Of course he missed home—he'd be lying if he said otherwise. "Sasuke, I think it's time we tried again."
Akshia sat silently off to the side, observing both Naruto and Sasuke. The relationship among the three of them had always been quite complicated.
It was undeniable—since fusing with Sakura, Akshia had increasingly been influenced by Sakura's personality and way of thinking.
Each time Naruto made even the slightest progress in power, he would immediately try once more to break through the seal—but every attempt ended in failure, often with severe backlash.
"It's useless," Akshia sighed.
As the Guardian Deity of Planet Cecilia, who had lived for who knows how many years, she naturally knew more than either Naruto or Sasuke.
"How would we know if we don't try?" Naruto replied confidently, then turned his head toward Sasuke. "Let's do this, Sasuke."
"Yeah."
Sasuke nodded.
It's not like they had anything better to do anyway.
"AHHHHH!"
Naruto clenched his fists, entering Super Saiyan God mode. His hair turned red and spiked upward as divine energy surged from his body.
"Thunder God Awakening!"
Lightning arcs burst from Sasuke's body with a crackling roar. Above them, dark clouds gathered, thunder rumbling through the sky.
"Those two are at it again…"
Elsewhere in the Hero Prison, Frieza, who was also imprisoned there, glanced up at the sky and muttered to himself. This had become a daily occurrence. Everyone locked up in the Hero Prison had long since grown used to it.
Now, Frieza had completely suppressed his aura.
With little in the way of entertainment in the Hero Prison, Frieza had dedicated himself entirely to training.
The red and yellow silhouettes intertwined and soared skyward together.
Although no one truly expected success, all the inmates of Hero Prison still looked up.
Two beams of light clashed against the sky with a deafening boom. The iron chains locking down the heavens trembled violently.
"Sasuke, hit it with your strongest!"
"Right!" Sasuke nodded toward Naruto, then looked up, channeling thunder into a single devastating blow. "Thunder God: Heavenly Flash!"
"Kamehameha—!"
"Is this… really going to work…?"
Frieza watched the sky above, overwhelmed by the colossal spectacle. He muttered subconsciously.
In truth, Frieza deeply regretted bringing Naruto and Sasuke to the Hero Prison—though pride kept him from ever admitting it out loud.
Ultimately, before the eyes of all, the overwhelming force gradually dissipated. Exhausted, Naruto and Sasuke's bodies fell from the sky.
"As expected… another failure."
At some point, Broly had gotten up and now shook his head. Then he sat back down cross-legged, resuming his own energy cultivation.
A blue figure shot upward, catching Sasuke midair, while the Icebound Throne formed beneath Naruto, breaking his fall.
Akshia had lost count of how many times she'd seen this exact scenario.
…
"We finally broke the seal, Mother!"
The first voice to be heard was Black Zetsu's, filled with excitement.
"Hm."
Kaguya remained composed, though a trace of confusion appeared on her pale face. After all, it had taken thousands of years to break the seal last time—yet this time, barely over a decade had passed before it was undone.
"Lady Kaguya, welcome back."
Ōtsutsuki Isshiki looked up at the newly-emerged Kaguya and spoke calmly.
"Who are you?"
Kaguya looked down at the four individuals below her, frowning slightly. She could clearly sense a malicious energy from them—one completely different from chakra.
"It's been so long… I suppose it's no surprise you don't recognize me, Lady Kaguya," Isshiki said, facing the wary figure floating in the air. "I am Ōtsutsuki Isshiki."
"Ōtsutsuki… someone of Mother's clan?"
Hidden in Kaguya's sleeve, Black Moon murmured. Having just emerged from the seal, she was still unclear on the situation.
"Ōtsutsuki Isshiki?"
Kaguya frowned as she stared at the evil entity below. Whether by aura or appearance, he bore no resemblance to Isshiki at all.
"Are you trying to deceive me?"
"I've abandoned my identity as an Ōtsutsuki," Isshiki replied. "I've joined a much more powerful race. Lady Kaguya, I came here specifically to invite you to—"
"A traitor to the Ōtsutsuki clan—what more needs to be said!"
Without giving Isshiki a chance to continue, Kaguya launched an immediate attack.
"Well, she is a princess of the Ōtsutsuki clan, after all," Isshiki said, glancing at his companions. "Let's take her down together. We don't want to disappoint Lord Dark Emperor, do we?"
"Of course not," Ōtsutsuki Urashiki grinned as he stepped forward. "Besides, I've always wanted to test myself against the noble princess of the Ōtsutsuki clan."
Dark energy burst forth from all four of them simultaneously.
"Mother, be careful. Something's off about them."
Black Zetsu warned Kaguya, sensing that things were amiss.
"Hm."
Kaguya responded with a soft sound of acknowledgment.
