For a moment, it was as if Ivan was battling his own eyes, trying to wrest control of them, but they refused to obey. They moved over Dallas's body anyway.
He barely noticed when he turned and walked out of the room without saying a word. His heart raced in the same way it had when Dallas had pulled him into that earlier embrace.
Only when a subtle breeze brushed against him outside did he realize how hot his body had become, how he hadn't been breathing until now.
"Stupid… this is stupid," he muttered, his anger directed at himself more than anyone else. "Just because I'm gay doesn't mean I should react to… any naked man."
Maybe it was all in his head. Maybe he missed Axel. Or maybe it was the intense kiss he'd shared with Axel just hours ago that had awakened every nerve, leaving him unsatisfied.
