"What?" Dallas asked.
"What?" Ivan echoed, even though he knew exactly what Dallas meant. He pretended not to understand, it had to be because of the way he'd been staring at him.
"You're staring at me like..." Dallas started, but Ivan cut him off immediately.
"I'm wondering why you're still not doing anything. Are we going to find out if Axel is fine while we just sit here like this?" he said.
But that wasn't the real reason. He was losing it.
Dallas didn't look convinced, but he didn't argue either. Ivan told himself it was better that way, but it still bothered him. Now he couldn't stop wondering if Dallas had noticed anything different about the way he'd been acting around him.
"My roommates are coming," Dallas said.
Ivan turned toward the door, he could hear voices and footsteps. "Call him now and text me," he said, already walking out and closing the door behind him.
