When they arrived and Dallas finally stopped the car, Ivan didn't move right away. He lingered, their eyes locking in the quiet that followed the engine going still.
"We're here. Don't you recognize your own home, or are you waiting for me to walk you to your room?" Dallas asked, his voice low.
Ivan let out a quiet chuckle before looking away. "If you want to."
"I don't," Dallas replied immediately.
A brief silence settled between them before Ivan speaking, "Anyway… you've promised not to go on any more dates, or try to move on, right?"
"I didn't say anything like that." Dallas argued.
"Then this is me asking you for a hundredth time not to," Ivan said. "we'll talk to Axel, and then we'll hear what he has to say. But even if he hesitates, I won't just walk away from you. We can make him understand. I promise I won't just let it go."
Dallas studied him, something uncertain flickering in his eyes. "Do you mean that?"
