Hanging up the phone, General Ross vowed to somehow punish these four individuals who dared to reject him.
But since he had something more urgent to do now, he thought he'd leave that for later.
"General, the plane is ready," said a young soldier, and the man followed him to board.
Thaddeus Ross comes from a military family and joined the army at a young age.
The man is a staunch patriot, and after many years of service he was willing to do anything to make the United States the greatest country in the world.
And for this, the United States should have a powerful army.
Unfortunately, nuclear bombs were no longer a great deterrent since many countries had them, so the United States had to find some way to stand out from other countries.
It was here that he thought of the super soldier serum.
Although one man could not defeat an entire army, what would happen to an army of them?
Even if modern weaponry rendered human sea tactics obsolete, what if these super soldiers acted as killers?
Super soldiers could penetrate an enemy country and assassinate key people, making it easier for the United States to subjugate other countries.
Although it was impossible to totally rule the world, the best option was for the United States to have as much influence as possible in the world.
This is why he became interested in the Super Soldier project many years ago.
Of course, he knew that many scientists had tried and failed, so he, who knew nothing about science, had no chance either.
Knowing his limitations, he sought to hire scientists to do research for him.
It was here that he met a young scientist who interested him.
Although he didn't like the young man because he was dating his daughter, he couldn't deny that the young man was a genius and his doctorates backed it up.
Of course, Ross would have preferred his daughter to date a military man, but he had to accept his daughter's relationship because he needed the young scientist to work for him.
Bruce Banner had specialized in Gamma Radiation and was researching its positive effects on the human body.
This research reached Roos's desk and he knew immediately that this was what he was looking for.
The data in the documents reminded him of the effects of the Super Soldier Serum, and the few scientists he had hired confirmed it.
Instead of using Vita Rays in the original Super Soldier Serum, they could try to replicate it using Gamma Rays.
Countless scientists around the world had failed in their attempt to replicate the Super Soldier serum. Perhaps they will succeed if they investigate another approach?
Ross still remembers how excited he was when he started this project and how he dreamed of the United States ruling the world with an army of Super Soldiers.
Of course, he would be at the head and would receive an enormous amount of glory.
But he quickly grimaced when he remembered how things went wrong.
Years passed and the project was not yielding results.
The funding didn't come from nowhere. And without results, Ross would no longer receive support for the project.
Ross was angry, but he accepted things since even he thought it was a lot of money they were spending.
They could use that money to buy more weapons.
The man was prepared to stop the project, but at that moment an accident occurred.
The gun that was shooting Gamma Rays at the laboratory mice malfunctioned and produced a large amount of Gamma Rays, turning on the sensors and alerting the entire base.
Fortunately, the room was sealed, but Bruce, her daughter's boyfriend, was in it and received the radiation head-on.
Being hit by that amount of Gamma radiation would kill anyone, but the young man did something that changed his fate.
In a panic, the young man thought of some way to survive and injected himself with the serum he was researching.
Young Bruce had joined the project under the belief that he was investigating blood and DNA samples with a high resistance to radiation, so in his mind he was investigating a way to gain immunity to Gamma radiation before continuing with the part that would strengthen the body.
What he didn't know was that he was experimenting with the few remaining samples of Captain America's DNA.
The serum he injected not only made him immune to Gamma radiation.
They turned him into the Hulk, a monster of destruction, who destroyed a large part of the base during his escape.
No matter how many bullets or missiles hit it, the green monster continued as if nothing was wrong, escaping from the base and destroying even tanks in its path.
The destruction of the base and the loss of so many soldiers and war machinery would be a tragedy, which would surely end General Ross's career.
But unlike the dead soldiers, Ross's future wasn't so bad.
Although the green monster also destroyed the computers in the experimentation room, they were able to recover the information and Roos was extremely pleased about this.
This not only saved his career, but also helped him regain the support he had lost in the army.
The General could already see the future where the United States would rule the world with an army of these green monsters.
Of course, although Bruce made his work continue, he couldn't let it go.
While overseeing the investigation, he searched everywhere for Bruce.
They couldn't let someone like Bruce run loose, and Ross even wanted to try and control him.
Of course, he left this search to his subordinates.
As Bruce became a wanted man worldwide, Ross didn't believe he could hide for that long before being captured.
But Bruce proved to be very elusive and they were unable to catch him.
Roos grumbled a little, but his priority was the investigation into the creation of the green monster and he didn't bother thinking about Bruce too much.
Unfortunately for the man, his dream was cut short some time later when his scientists told him that they could not recreate this green monster.
After complaining about having useless people under his command, the general looked at the documents of the experiments.
No matter who was injected with the serum, no one showed any signs of improvement.
What if they bathed the test subject in Gamma Rays?
The only result was cancer and the rapid death of the test subject.
'So how did Bruce do it?' the general wondered.
It was thanks to Bruce that Ross regained the support of many important people in the army.
It even gained more support, as everyone wanted an army of Hulks.
Ross received more funding, but he knew that wouldn't last long because all subsequent experiments were the same.
After failing so many times, she confirmed that she had to get Bruce.
Wanting answers, the man started a hunt himself.
Of course, Ross knew it would be difficult to capture Bruce transformed into that Green monster.
Bullets and missiles had no effect on him, and he was able to turn tanks into scrap metal with his bare hands.
But what could I do?
If he wanted the United States to have a powerful army capable of destroying other countries, he had to capture Bruce, even if it meant sacrificing all his soldiers.
If he could get Bruce and replicate his transformation, Ross thought any loss was worth it.
Of course, if I could reduce the casualties I would be delighted.
The appearance of four individuals with superpowers brought a smile to his old face, and he thought about using them to capture Hulk.
But to his anger, these guys refused to cooperate.
As the plane took off, Ross thought about how to punish them.
Many important people wanted to control and study these so-called Fantastic Four.
And not only them, but also that arachnid-like creature that appeared in New York.
But the identity of this man was unknown, so they couldn't do anything against him.
In contrast, the identity of the Fantastic Four was public.
Therefore, many had them in their sights.
If you were normal people, you would have already been captured and studied.
And they didn't have to be kidnapped.
There were many ways to arrest them legally, and yet they would mysteriously 'escape' never to reappear.
But since the Baxter group was behind them, they couldn't be captured easily.
If they wanted to arrest them legally, there had to be a good reason.
General Ross knew that many were devising plans, and he himself could also use his influence for revenge.
Unfortunately, he could no longer afford to be distracted, as they had found clues to Bruce's whereabouts.
Ross had to admit he was surprised by Bruce's ability to remain hidden for so long.
But this wouldn't last forever, and recently they finally managed to find traces of Bruce in Brazil.
