From atop the Brooklyn Bridge, a clone of Peter looked down at Ben Grimm sitting on the bridge's metal framework.
How did you get here?
It all started when Alfred warned Peter about the awakening of Susan's and the others' powers the night before.
Since then he has been attentive to the changes in the bodies of the 4 through spells to monitor and record the changes in their DNA.
While Reed was doing his tests, Peter already knew much more in just one hour.
The young man was fascinated by what he discovered and sighed with relief at having obtained something, since the test subjects he took into space began to die because they could not withstand the radiation in their bodies.
It was at the time they went to sleep that Peter stopped and left the investigation to his shadow clones.
Of course, he left Alfred in charge of keeping an eye on them.
Since Alfred had already hacked the building's systems, Peter knew everything they were investigating there and therefore also the group's movements.
This is how he learned of Ben's departure from the building and sent a shadow clone to follow him.
This shadow clone saw how the man communicated with his fiancée with great difficulty through a public telephone and then how she walked away in fear and amazement upon seeing his new form.
Depressed, Ben later arrived at this bridge and the shadow clone watched him from a great height.
From his position, he watched the disastrous accident unfold beneath him.
From the guy who wanted to commit suicide by jumping off the bridge to how he fell on the highway and Ben jumped in to save him, causing the accident.
The clone was ready to intervene to save people, and since he was under an invisibility spell, he didn't have to worry about exposing his identity.
After all, this was the debut of the Fantastic Four.
But strangely, no tragedy occurred.
Dozens of cars crashed, but there were no serious injuries that would require the clone to intervene.
The clone saw everything happen.
A fire truck crashed into the edge of the bridge and was about to fall.
Obviously Ben tried to stop him, but the firefighters were about to fall into the sea.
Reed's timely intervention prevented a firefighter from falling into the sea, and Ben managed to stabilize the fire truck, ending the incident.
There were injuries due to the sudden impacts across the highway, but nothing that the medics arriving at the scene couldn't handle.
Therefore, he did not need to intervene on any occasion.
Not even in the sudden explosion, as Johnny rushed to save that girl and Susan contained the explosion with a force field
In this way, everything ended and the 4 heroes were all over national television due to the journalists and cameras that began to arrive.
.
.
.
While the figure of the 4 heroes was shown on television, someone else was watching them with calculating eyes.
Victor had been resting after his surgery and had recently felt the change within him.
As a sorcerer, the man could more easily sense the changes within his body and did not need any sudden outbreak to realize the effects the cosmic cloud had on him.
As the man manipulated his ability to create electric arcs between his fingers, he laughed loudly, having achieved his goal after all.
When he fled Latveria, Victor had sworn to kill everyone involved in the overthrow of his family.
Especially when his father died during his escape.
It was only because of the few people loyal to his father that he was able to safely reach the United States and settle here.
Unfortunately for young Victor, he had no way to get revenge.
After all, he only had a few servants, and his enemies were now the rulers of his former country.
But everything changed when she found her mother's diaries among the things she had brought.
His mother had died young, and Victor always thought it was from natural causes.
But it was the last page of one of his mother's diaries that made him realize that was a lie.
The last pages of that diary recounted how her mother was conducting a dangerous experiment, and the date noted on the pages coincided with the day of her mother's death.
The young man cried when he guessed what had happened, but it was also thanks to these diaries that Victor learned about the hidden side of the world.
From the knowledge he obtained from his mother's diary, Victor learned how to use the energies of the universe and from certain communities where he could acquire more magical knowledge.
During the following years, the man had been studying in the country while dabbling in witchcraft.
It was during his college years that he met Susan, but she rejected him many times and he didn't have time to pursue her.
Although many years had passed, he had not forgotten his old goal.
Besides, he needed to concentrate on his studies.
After all, he needed money for his future plans and wanted to create his own company.
I had no time for love.
It was after becoming a powerful sorcerer that he was able to seek revenge, kill his enemies, and reclaim his country.
But even though he avenged his family, Victor was not pleased.
He had tortured everyone involved in the rebellion back then, but in the end he did not get the satisfaction he expected.
It was after meditating a little that he realized that his revenge had long ceased to be the priority of his life.
Instead, it was witchcraft, or rather the power it gave her, that was now the most important thing in her life.
Therefore, she made sure to have free time from her new responsibilities to practice and study witchcraft.
It was during these years in Latveria that he found some ancient scrolls that detailed the studies of ancient sorcerers.
Unlike modern scientists and their recent discoveries, sorcerers in ancient times already knew about celestial phenomena.
These scrolls contained information about a mysterious energy that passed through the solar system every thousands of years and that, in theory, granted great power to whoever managed to control it.
Unfortunately, no one was able to contain her, according to the records of the few events.
Intrigued, Victor studied those scrolls and his heart raced as he discovered that this mysterious energy would pass through the solar system in the coming years.
The man quickly set to work on a new project and therefore left the government of his country to the members of his Council, who were extremely loyal to him.
He himself began to seek more information about this phenomenon in other magical communities while thinking about how to contain this energy.
And to obtain as much information as possible about this upcoming phenomenon, Victor had hacked all the space agencies in the world.
But strangely enough, it was in another place where Victor got what he wanted.
The man checked his computer and found that an old program on his computer that he had forgotten about was the one that had made a match with what he was looking for.
At that time, Reed Richards had been Victor's rival.
Not only because of his academic abilities, but also because she saw him as a rival for Susan Storm's heart.
It was then that, in an attempt to defeat Reed, he managed to insert a virus into the young man's personal computer that allowed him to know what the young man was working on.
Although it wasn't long before Victor continued with his own goals, the virus on Reed's computer was still active.
Victor forgot about that, especially since Reed should probably have changed computers by now.
But it wasn't true.
For some reason, Reed had not changed his personal computer, and the program on Victor's own computer, responsible for gathering all the information he was looking for, had found relevant information on Reed's computer.
Out of curiosity, Victor accessed the man's computer and was surprised by what he found.
Reed was studying the same thing as him.
But unlike Victor's goals of controlling this so-called cosmic energy, Reed only wanted to study its effects.
Victor didn't care about Reed's motives. What mattered was that Reed had already predicted the date when the cosmic energy cloud would pass through the solar system.
Long before his own predictions and his own space voyage.
But he quickly thought of a solution.
He was able to convince Susan to talk to her father, and he was able to join the project.
With the machine he had created ready to contain cosmic energy, Victor did not believe that anything would go wrong.
