Chapter 98 - Mcu-A new adventure cap 98

Unfortunately for Victor, an accident occurred.

Reed's predictions about the arrival date of the cosmic energy cloud were wrong, and he had to activate his machine ahead of schedule.

The short amount of time he had caused him to make a mistake when turning on the machine, and it exploded.

Not only had he failed in his objective of capturing cosmic energy for later study, but he had also been injured.

Turning to his side and looking at himself in the mirror in the room, Victor saw his head covered in bandages.

The accident had left him disfigured, and he blamed Reed Richards for it all.

Even if others defended him by claiming that the cosmic energy cloud had accelerated without explanation, Victor believed that Reed had not analyzed all the factors and had overlooked something that caused his calculations to fail.

Victor would normally have already exploded in anger and gone to find Reed to teach him a lesson.

But his attention was focused on the energy he felt inside him and he couldn't wait to study it.

Although he had not been able to use his machine to contain the so-called cosmic energy, his body had obtained some of this energy and he had gained these powers.

Victor couldn't say for sure that he knew everything he could do, and could only guess that he could control electromagnetic energy.

Victor would have loved to spend his time experimenting with these powers, but seeing his 'colleagues' on television, he knew he had to leave before they came looking for him.

After all, if the four of them gained powers due to the accident, it was obvious that he would be the same.

Therefore, he quickly ordered his subordinates to prepare his private plane to return to his country.

And she had to do it quickly, since she was also planning to undergo plastic surgery to get rid of those annoying scars.

When Susan and the others returned and remembered that Victor had also suffered the same accident as them, the man was already in the air heading to Latveria.

Worried, Susan called the man and asked about his condition.

But Victor said that nothing was wrong and Susan called over the next few days to check that nothing had changed.

The days passed and the news was focused on the new superheroes.

After their first public appearance, the four had appeared only a few times, but all of them were significant.

Various accidents that could not normally be resolved by the authorities were the perfect scenarios for them when everything was resolved with their arrival.

This earned them the support of the public who surrounded the Baxter building every day hoping to see them at least once.

Unlike Spider-Man, who was difficult for the average citizen to find, the location of the Fantastic Four was known to everyone.

Another superhero who was causing a sensation was Tony Stark, aka Iron Man.

The man inside the armor had become extremely famous during the last few months due to his actions to stop the conflict in war-torn countries such as the Middle East.

And just like the Fantastic Four, people also knew that the superhero lived in Stark Tower.

Therefore, it was natural that people went crazy looking for them.

Especially when the media were also constantly reporting on them.

Just like the fans, the media couldn't get an interview with Spider-Man and put all their efforts into these new and more accessible superheroes.

Because of this and other things, Susan stopped calling Victor to ask about his condition and whether he displayed the same powers as them.

Since the man always said that nothing had changed and she was busy with other things, the woman stopped calling him.

What fans and the media didn't know was that the Fantastic Four were also going through their own problems.

To be more specific, they had problems with the government.

Claiming that their bodies might contain foreign space debris and that not enough tests had been done, numerous agencies were demanding that they come forward to undergo the appropriate examinations.

But this was a clear attempt to study their bodies and powers, so the four refused all requests.

But even though they refused, they didn't give up, and Susan had been very stressed lately.

Reed preferred to spend his time in his laboratory, his brother embraced his newfound fame with open arms and went from party to party, while Ben was getting used to his new life with the obvious change in his body.

Susan couldn't demand anything from the latter, since he was going through a breakup with his fiancée and the blonde didn't want to disrupt his life any further.

And since Reed and Johnny aren't suited for this kind of thing, she's been handling the group's public relations.

What else could I do?

After all, if she does nothing, other people will try to take advantage of them.

From malicious statements on live television that sought to provoke a response and generate attention, to attempts to acquire the group's image rights.

Three weeks had passed and the young woman had been dealing with all of this.

Arriving early at her office, the young woman sat behind her desk and was about to call her secretary to find out what she had to do today.

But she didn't have long to sit down before her phone rang, and she smiled involuntarily when she saw Peter's name on the screen.

After the accident, Peter called her to ask how they were.

But since they hadn't discovered her powers at that time, she replied with few words that everyone was fine.

It was later, when they appeared on television, that Peter called again and she tried to explain all the details, hoping that Peter would believe her.

Although they had just met and didn't get off to a good start, Susan was very grateful to the young man and strangely now cared a lot about his opinion.

Not only had he not taken advantage of his father's situation, but he had also helped to resolve it.

Of course, she had fulfilled her part of the deal by taking the things Peter wanted into space, but she was perfectly aware of the amount of money involved and what Peter could gain if he took advantage of the situation.

Not to mention the money Peter was willing to spend to buy shares in the Baxter Group to put her at ease.

Although Peter didn't lose out when the value of Baxter Group shares rose with the public appearance of the Fantastic Four, Susan appreciated his intentions.

Susan sighed with relief when Peter said he believed her, and since then they have exchanged text messages every few days and have even met many times.

Of course, when she saw that it was again not a personal message, but a business one, the young blonde couldn't help but frown.

When she was busy managing the group's public relations with the public and the government, the young woman had no room in her mind for anything else.

It was Peter who reminded him of the group's name and image rights and how valuable they are.

Thanking Peter, the woman acted quickly and began the process of registering the group's image and name.

The process was completed quickly and the young woman sighed with relief.

During the following days, the young woman made it her business to accept the proposals she had previously rejected due to her workload.

And although it would still be weeks before Fantastic Four merchandise flooded the market, they had already received hefty checks.

Even though she and her brother didn't lack money, it didn't mean they looked down on her.

Of course, Johnny quickly used that money to go partying.

Reed also spent the money.

Since Reed had many projects that the Baxter group could not finance, he quickly got to work with the money he received.

Meanwhile, Ben wisely chose to keep the money in his savings account at the bank.

Besides getting together and working together when the help of the Fantastic Four is needed, each one does his own thing in his free time.

Of course, she was the busiest of the group.

In addition to handling the public relations of the Fantastic Four, Susan did not forget her initial intention to keep an eye on her father in the administration of the Baxter Group.

Knowing her father's problems, Susan couldn't leave him alone at work, and her free time from Fantastic Four work was spent reviewing her father's administration.

And with how busy she was, she started waiting for the text messages she exchanged with Peter.

Unfortunately for the young woman, Peter's last messages were not personal.

Since Peter owned a video game company, the young man wanted to create a game based on the Fantastic Four, and his last messages were about that.
