Chapter 147 - CH 147 : O Ātman… Prati-Bandham!

Rudra rose, his body glowing brighter than before. His eyes were calm. Too calm. The air around him warped slightly, as though space itself bent to his will.

Cell's smirk faltered. "What's this…?"

Rudra's voice echoed across the battlefield — deep, resonant, and ancient.

"O Ātman… Prati-Bandham."

The world fell silent.

For a moment, even the roaring wind stopped.

A surge of crimson light erupted from Rudra's body, spiraling around his arms in sacred rings. The patterns of his chakra formed glowing chains of pure energy — intricate, living threads that pulsed with divine rhythm. They expanded outward, cutting through the air with blinding speed.

Cell's eyes widened. "What—what is this?!"

The chains shot forward like meteors, wrapping around Cell's limbs, torso, and neck in an instant. Each link of chakra emitted a sacred hum, vibrating with cosmic intensity. Cell tried to move—but his body froze. His wings stiffened. His tail went rigid.

He couldn't move.

Rudra floated upward, his expression unflinching. "You have absorbed warriors, gods, and monsters alike. But your soul…" His voice grew colder. "…your soul is still bound by weakness."

Cell struggled violently, his muscles flexing with fury. "You—bastard! What have you done to me?!"

Rudra's eyes glowed red. "I've captured your ātman—your soul. As long as it is chained, your body will obey silence."

Cell's power surged, but the chains pulsed back, tightening. He roared in agony, his Ki flaring in violent bursts that shattered the nearby ruins. Yet no matter how hard he fought, he couldn't break free. His limbs trembled but refused to respond. His wings hung uselessly.

Rudra's aura burned brighter. "Now, stay still."

Leaving Cell suspended mid-air like a chained demon, Rudra turned toward the chaos behind him.

Trunks' and Gohan's clones were on their last breath. Android 17 grinned as his kick sent Gohan crashing through a half-collapsed skyscraper. 18 prepared a massive energy sphere in her palm, aimed directly at the downed clone.

Rudra's jaw clenched. "Enough."

In a blink, he vanished.

The air rippled.

BOOM—!

Android 18's blast never fired. Rudra appeared in front of her, striking her chin upward with a crushing uppercut. The impact was so powerful it sent her body flipping through the air before she crashed into the ruins below, unconscious.

Android 17 turned, startled—but Rudra was already behind him.

"Wha—?!" was all he managed to say before Rudra's palm slammed into his back, releasing a controlled shockwave of chakra. 17's eyes went blank, and his body dropped to the ground, knocked out cold beside his sister.

Trunks' and Gohan's clones watched in awe. Their bodies flickered more violently now, light breaking from their forms like sand dissolving in wind.

Trunks managed a faint smile. "He did it…"

Gohan nodded weakly. "We… we held them long enough…"

Their voices grew softer, fading into echo. Within seconds, their forms dissolved completely, their golden auras fading like embers.

Rudra stood still for a moment, staring at where they had stood. He whispered under his breath, "Rest well, warriors. Your task is complete."

He then turned his gaze toward the last remaining enemy—Dr. Gero.

The old scientist had been watching from the distance, his mechanical eyes twitching nervously. His metallic hands shook as he backed away, mumbling in disbelief. "Impossible… my creations… my perfect being… all of them—!"

Rudra began to walk toward him, slow and deliberate. Each step sent shockwaves across the broken earth.

Dr. Gero stumbled backward, fury and fear twisting his face. "No! Stay away! I am the creator of gods! You can't—!"

Rudra stopped a few feet away, the light from his chakra chains illuminating his face. "You call yourself a creator, but all you've built are cages… powered by stolen souls."

Dr. Gero screamed, firing a barrage of energy blasts from his mechanical arms. The shots exploded against Rudra's chakra shield, but he didn't even flinch. He raised one hand, absorbing the blasts effortlessly.

Dr. Gero's face contorted. "No! NO! I am immortal! You hear me?! I—"

Rudra appeared before him in a blur. His fist, glowing with pure red energy, struck through the doctor's chest. Metal shattered. Circuits burst into flames.

Gero's mechanical body twitched, sparks spraying from his broken torso. His artificial heart flickered faintly. "I… created… perfection…"

Rudra's eyes were calm as he replied, "And perfection destroyed you."

He pulled his arm back. The remains of Dr. Gero's metallic body fell lifelessly onto the shattered ground, smoke curling upward as the scientist's last mechanical heartbeat faded.

Silence followed.

Rudra turned slowly, glancing toward Cell — still suspended mid-air, locked in invisible chains. The monstrous being struggled, his aura flickering like dying fire. His hateful eyes burned into Rudra's calm face.

"You… think… this… will hold me?" Cell hissed, his voice trembling from strain.

Rudra stared at him coldly. "It doesn't need to hold you forever… just long enough."

He exhaled slowly, releasing the tension in his shoulders. The red aura around him softened but didn't fade. Dust drifted around him like sacred ash, glimmering faintly in the dim sunlight.

The battlefield was silent now—eerily so. The Androids lay defeated. Dr. Gero's body was nothing but scrap. And Cell, the so-called perfect being, hung in stillness, ensnared by chains of divine energy.

Rudra raised his head slightly, gazing at the horizon. "Two days… that's all I need. When I return, Cell… the real battle will begin."

He turned away, his form glowing faintly as he prepared to vanish. The chakra chains pulsed one last time, locking tighter around Cell's immobilized body.

As Rudra disappeared into the thinning air, the red glow of his technique lingered — illuminating the wrecked city like an omen.

Cell, frozen in mid-air, let out a low growl through clenched teeth.

"You can't hold perfection forever… Rudra…"

But the words died in the wind.

Only the silent hum of chakra chains remained.
