Leaving the restaurant and the people inside in this horrible state, you would think someone would rise to stop him, or as soon as he was gone, they would go to report him to the guards. But that wouldn't have been further from the truth.
Everyone in that place stayed seated as he passed them going towards the door; no one moved or made a sound
Most didn't even look at him, so if the guards somehow find out, they could confidently say they didn't see anything.
As they wouldn't be lying, whenever he passed, they turned their heads the other way, and the sounds of his confrontation and movement were drowned out by their bustling conversations.
