Raviel suddenly shouted, his voice loud and raw. "Big sister, why did you marry this brute?!"
Garion raised a brow immediately. "Hey. I'm not a brute."
He glanced at him, unimpressed. "And why the hell are you shouting like that? Aren't you a grown man?"
Raviel didn't calm down. "So what?!"
He pointed straight at Garion. "How dare you marry my sister? She's kind and smart. How the hell does someone like you end up with her?"
Garion frowned slightly but didn't respond right away.
Rachel, however, did. She smiled, calm and steady. "Because I love him, Raviel."
Raviel's expression tightened. "Big sister, he's fooling you."
Rachel's smile faded. Her tone turned firm. "That's enough, Raviel."
She crossed her arms lightly. "Who I love and who I marry is not your decision."
Raviel froze for a second.
Rachel didn't stop. "Love isn't something you calculate or analyze."
Her gaze shifted briefly to Garion. Then back to Raviel. "I chose him."
