Inside the Phoenix Ancient Ruins, Yu Xiyan confronts the mysterious elder Ao Ying, who reveals himself to be a member of the Jiao Clan.
Ao Ying boasts that he infiltrated the ruins by using a female cauldron bearer with phoenix bloodline. Yu Xiyan immediately recognizes the notorious Jiao Clan—a cruel race that has long terrorized the coastal regions of the Eastern and Southern Domains.
The Jiao Clan rules the seas through oppression, forcing coastal villages to pay heavy tribute while treating humans as little more than slaves and livestock. Yu Xiyan immediately attacks.
Despite her swift swordsmanship and the power of the Nirvana Phoenix Art, Ao Ying calmly blocks every strike. After over a hundred exchanges, he unleashes Prison Dragon Triple Extinction, summoning three black dragon spirits.
Yu Xiyan counters with Phoenix Wings Spread – Ice Builds a New City, destroying most of the attack, but the final dragon spirit breaks through and strikes her directly.
She is badly wounded.
Only because she had previously absorbed two Dragon Cores given by Shen Zhao, along with the protection of her Innate Dao Body, does she survive what should have been a fatal blow.
Unable to continue fighting, she struggles to remain standing.
Ao Ying approaches confidently, intending to capture her and humiliate the Great Yin Empire through her defeat.
Cornered and exhausted, Yu Xiyan resolves that she would rather die than lose her dignity.
As despair fills her heart, one thought surfaces:
"Shen Zhao... if you knew I was in danger, would you come save me?"
Just as Ao Ying raises his staff to finish the battle—
A crimson spear flashes into the battlefield like a blazing dragon.
The newcomer forces Ao Ying back with a single strike so powerful that even his staff develops cracks.
The rescuer is Su Yunying.
She smiles reassuringly at Yu Xiyan.
"Big Sister, don't speak. Focus on healing. Leave him to me."
Turning toward Ao Ying, she mocks him for bullying an injured young woman despite his age.
Ao Ying, however, notices that Su Yunying is only at the Third Stage of the Nirvana Realm. Believing victory to be easy, he arrogantly declares that he will capture both women.
Su Yunying remains completely fearless.
"Then let's see whether you have the ability."
Enraged, Ao Ying unleashes the full power of his Supreme Peak Realm cultivation, filling the chamber with black clouds as the decisive battle begins.
