Chapter 251: The Arrogant White Star Sage 1
The Late Stage Mortal Lord demon gritted his teeth while trembling from the pain of the intense impact he had taken while defending against Boorme's strike. He looked toward the sect in confusion and disbelief as he felt the massive storm of energy flooding toward that place.
"What exactly is happening!?" the demon growled in alarm.
The large figure of Boorme came crashing down in front of him with a calm expression. He shook his head with a faint smile as he spoke. "You demons are a bit late as of now. This so-called 'Key' you are looking for probably has something to do with the one responsible for this. I honestly like his style more than the original man, but both are quite unique with their methods."
The demon glared while taking a deep breath. His aura climbed to its maximum potential, touching the peak of the Late Stage Mortal Shedding Realm.
"I see now that I may have grossly underestimated everyone. No, in fact our entire demonic alliance has. But no matter. I simply have to get through you to dispose of him." the demon said, heavy murderous intent rising as his sword glowed with a dark grey light.
Boorme smiled as he unleashed his own aura to its highest limit, though it still fell short of the peak of the Late Stage Mortal Shedding Realm. "Honestly, I give you your props, but to be honest you are not this Master's match."
The demon's heart jolted faintly at how Boorme referred to himself before he tossed the thought aside. Moments later, the two clashed in a fierce battle that surpassed ordinary Late Stage Mortal Lords.
…
"EEEK! Ahem. Feel the might of our unmitigated power! Submit to the White Star Sage. Bow to the Divine Eyed Goddess. Despair before the Black Devil. Perish before the 6 Winged Calamity Dragon!" Orochicanda nearly lost his composure, shrieking for a moment as he suddenly felt Elton's Celestial Sense going wild in the distance and arrogantly exerting its influence over the strand of Sense he possessed. As if nothing had happened, he continued chanting afterward.
Although many heard his slip, most were far too distracted by the wild intent suddenly erupting around the massive mirage covered in white lightning and white flames. The blue starry sword held by the figure also unleashed a powerful sword intent.
Shikakage stood surrounded by piles of slaughtered demons. Two Late Stage Mortal Lord demons and three Middle Stage Mortal Lords stood around him, all heavily wounded alongside their demonic cultivators.
"How can this be?! What the hell has that fool been doing all this time when he should have disposed of or captured the key by now?!" Daburanatti shouted with a bloody and disheveled expression.
Shikakage sighed as he shook his head. "I do not know what you have been going on about with this talk of a key, but you dared to attack a junior brother of mine. How could you possibly believe things would go well when he is a disciple of Master?"
Daburanatti roared as he and the others unleashed wild attacks once more. Shikikage's eyes glinted as terrifying blade intent erupted from each of his three swords, each glowing with a different color of magic power.
…
Rukia opened her eyes wide in disbelief before roaring with laughter as the Pristine Soul demon stared in astonishment. The two Late Stage Mortal Lords were horrifically injured, their limbs severed and their bodies barely able to hold together. Rukia was not much better, as the price for using such power in this pocket dimension was suicidal.
"Hahahahaha!!! How funny this is! From the looks of things you are all about to gain nothing from this whole ordeal. Major backup has already begun to arrive. Not only that, but it appears your target, my Junior Brother, is having a major earth-shaking breakthrough! How funny is this?" Rukia laughed as if it were the funniest thing she had ever heard.
"…It is not over yet… We still have the advantage. Until then you should stay on your toes." the Pristine Soul demon said with a scrunched expression before attacking once again.
"Hahaha, alright then! Let us keep going since you are still at it. And you over there! Do not think I did not notice you lurking around. From your aura I can tell you are a newly ascended Pristine Soul expert, only slightly stronger than a Late Stage Mortal Lord." Rukia smirked as her staff erupted with a massive wave of sword intent. The blue light washed across the skies and shook the ground below, knocking many experts off balance under the pressure.
A native with a powerful demonic aura suddenly burst from beneath the wreckage, an intense yet dread-filled gaze on his face as he shot into the sky riding atop a sword.
"Hmph! Since you have found me, how about I join in before those reinforcements arrive?!" he said in a rough voice.
The intense clashes began once more.
…
At the White Star Radiance Sect, the demons continued charging forward to attack those within, only to find that things had grown far more difficult. Even with several reinforcements arriving on the demonic side, they were suddenly pincered by four large troops of experts—those mixed with the Red Flounders, the Serpent Sharks, the Fishmen, and the Daemonorcs. Even though the demons still had the overall advantage, the pressure mounted as time passed.
After twenty-five minutes, the great energy surge suddenly halted entirely. Silence fell across the battlefield as everyone paused, waiting for the unknown. Faint footsteps approached from a distant direction as the figure of a man wrapped in lightning appeared. With an arrogant voice dripping with disdain, he lifted one hand and spoke a single phrase.
"BEGONE."
A massive force erupted as all demons, regardless of strength, were instantly expelled from the sect's territory within the barrier. They flew back helplessly, crashing into the ground in a chaotic heap. Disbelief filled their eyes.
"What the hell was that just now?!" a Middle Stage demonic cultivator trembled.
"Haaah??? Are you an idiot? This Sage simply expelled you filth from his sect. Maybe you should go read a book on magic. Heh, I doubt beasts like you are capable though." 'Elton' appeared before them with unrestrained arrogance, hands behind his back as the Blue Heavenly Star Destroyer floated beneath his feet.
"You!!! How about I rip that tongue out of your mouth, you human flea?!" the demon roared.
"What? Did I hurt your feelings? Such a fragile-minded creature. It is up to you whether you take my advice." 'Elton' replied with a playful smile before pointing toward another demon. "Hmm… You injured this Sage's woman Shayleaf. You can die now."
A bolt of white lightning wrapped in white and crimson flame blasted through an Early Stage Mortal Lord demon before he could defend. The lightning shredded his body as the flames devoured him.
"AHhhh!!! Noooo!!! AHhhh!!!" the demon screamed in agony as his abdomen dissolved into a gaping hole.
"Damn you! Kill this bastard!" a Middle Stage demon roared.
A wave of attacks from White Star Radiance experts crashed down on the demons as they tried to regroup.
"Brother Elly!! Let's crush these demons!" Shayleaf shouted, pushing forward despite her injuries.
"Gege!! Let's kill these demons!" Christy said with fierce determination.
"Let us fight alongside the Sect Master!!" many experts roared.
"Kyaaa! I finally get to witness the illustrious Sect Master Solman! Our great Daoist Blue Heaven's Sword and heaven-defying White Star Lightning Sage!" Lady Silvia cried out with flushed excitement as she prepared her attacks.
Amoria was quietly entranced by his heroic entrance. Even she was a maiden at heart. Rija also found herself unable to look away.
"Hahaha! Let us help our son-in-law!" a bloodied Jewleaf exclaimed.
"I am right with you!" Jonovan said with a strong, killing intent-filled smile.
Bolland nodded firmly as he pushed past his injuries and prepared to attack.
But…
"Haaah?!?! Who told you bastards to get in this Sage's way? BEGONE FROM HERE!!!"
Suddenly, 'Elton' unleashed a massive aura. Fierce electrical winds wrapped in white lightning blasted everyone indiscriminately, sending them flying. Though many were hurt, 'Elton' had clearly held back against his allies. The demons, however, were hurled away with devastating injuries.
"W-What has gotten into the Sect Master?" a fanged elf coughed up blood as he asked in confusion.
"Uuugghhh!!! As I thought… I HATE THIS BROTHER ELLY!!!!" Shayleaf screamed while throwing a tantrum.
Christy stood still for a moment, then a bitter smile formed as she gave a decisive command.
"Heed my orders as the Vice Sect Master. From this point on, until further notice, you are all to retreat a safe distance away from the Sect Master as he fights the demons alone."
Everyone was stunned. In such dire times, the command felt strange, yet as they recalled the events of moments prior, they could only sigh and obey.
"I love a smart woman! Once this Sage is done dealing with this trash and fully taking care of the 'Original,' I will be sure to give you plenty of my love." 'Elton' declared with unrestrained arrogance as he glanced at Christy before turning his gaze toward the demons.
Christy clenched her fist in irritation. She loved Elton deeply, but she hated this arrogant being that existed as a part of him. Yet at the same time, she could not deny the strong appreciation and faint fondness she felt for this version because of his carefree boldness and straightforward nature. His treatment seemed rough and forceful, but she could clearly feel his intense possessiveness toward her—and likely toward Shayleaf and Erica as well. Regardless of how events unfolded, she would give herself and her undying loyalty to Elton. Whether it was the man she truly loved or the one she was simply fond of, whichever of them prevailed in the end would determine her future attitude.
