Sirzechs stopped. "How good is the Yokai King training people?".
Serafall stopped. "Very, he is Z rank which in our team is on the same level as me, Satan Class".
Sirzechs stopped. "I want him to train my sister peerage".
Serafall blinked. "Wait why?".
Falbium answered. "Because Rias officially challenged Raiser to a rating game and he gave them 10 days time to train".
Ajuka answered. "If she win, the engagement is over, is she loose, she has to marry Riser".
Sirzechs then continue. "She doesn't have the power, even if she recently recruited the Red Dragon Emperor and the Holder of Twilight Healing. Raiser's peerage is optimized, experienced, and—"
"—arrogant," Serafall chimed in. "Which usually makes things more fun."
Sirzechs straightened, crimson eyes sharp now. "Which is exactly why I want him."
Serafall blinked again. "…You want the Yokai King to train Rias' peerage?"
"Yes."
Ajuka adjusted his glasses. "That is… an extreme measure."
Sirzechs didn't deny it. "So is letting my sister get married off to a phoenix with an ego problem."
The room went quiet.
Not awkward quiet.
Dangerously calculating quiet.
Falbium leaned back in his seat, fingers steepled. "You're suggesting we involve an external king. One who is not a devil. One who is already classified as… unpredictable."
Sirzechs didn't flinch.
"I'm suggesting we involve the right king."
Ajuka scrolled through Serafall's report again, slower this time.
"Z-rank classification… Spirit Bond amplification… accelerated growth curves…" He paused. "This is not standard training. This borders on structural evolution."
Serafall nodded, unusually serious.
"He doesn't just make people stronger. He makes them fit together better. Like… pieces clicking into place."
Falbium frowned. "That kind of synergy is dangerous."
"Yes," Sirzechs agreed immediately. "Which is why Raiser won't be prepared for it."
Serafall tilted her head. "But wait— Levi-chan has a question."
She raised a finger.
"Does Nate even care about devil politics?"
Sirzechs answered without hesitation.
"No."
Ajuka glanced up. "That is not reassuring."
Sirzechs allowed himself a small, sharp smile.
"It's exactly why he's perfect."
Falbium crossed his arms. "You're gambling."
Sirzechs' voice softened—just a little.
"I'm protecting my sister."
Ajuka exhaled slowly. "Raiser's peerage has numbers, experience, and phoenix regeneration. Even with Issei and Asia, Rias is still outmatched."
Serafall snapped her fingers. "Unless someone breaks their rhythm."
Falbium looked at her. "Explain."
She leaned forward, eyes gleaming.
"Raiser fights like a checklist. Formation. Attrition. Overwhelm. Nate trains like—" she searched for the word, then smiled, "—chaos with direction."
Sirzechs nodded.
"He doesn't train power. He trains reaction. Trust. Instinct."
Ajuka hesitated. "…And emotional reinforcement."
Serafall grinned. "Especially that."
Falbium sighed. "You're all insane."
Sirzechs stood.
Decision made.
"I'll handle the diplomatic side," he said. "No orders. No demands. Just a request."
Ajuka raised an eyebrow. "And if he refuses?"
Sirzechs' expression didn't change.
"Then I accept it."
A beat.
"But," Sirzechs continued, "if he agrees…"
Serafall clasped her hands together, eyes sparkling.
"Ohhh~ Raiser is going to cry."
Falbium muttered, "This is going to cause political fallout."
Sirzechs turned toward the chamber exit.
"Worth it."
As the doors closed behind him, Ajuka adjusted his glasses one last time.
"…We are officially involving the Yokai King in a Devil Rating Game."
Serafall giggled.
"Rias is going to love this."
Serafall got up. "I will tell Nate".
Sirzechs spoke from the hallway. "I will handle Rias, so she doesn't think I am looking down at her".
Few minutes later
Laugh could be heard in the Adam house.
Nate laughed once Serafall explained to him. "Oh, I am in, I wanted to punch that chiken".
Serafall blinked. "You meet Riser?".
Nate grinned. "One time in when my middle school went to a art museum in Tokyo".
Serafall stared at him.
"…You met Raiser. In middle school?"
Nate waved it off like it was nothing.
"Yeah. Dude wouldn't shut up. Loud. Flashy. Smelled like arrogance and burnt feathers."
Serafall's eye twitched.
"…What did you do?"
Nate leaned back on the couch, hands behind his head, grin sharp.
"I told him his wings looked like overcooked KFC and asked if phoenixes cry when they molt."
The room went dead silent.
Then—
Lily snorted into her tea.
Aaron full-on laughed.
Kurumu clutched her stomach.
Mizore blinked once, then nodded like this explained everything.
Serafall slowly covered her mouth.
"…You verbally wounded a high-class devil heir."
Nate shrugged.
"He started it. Tried to flirt with a girl who clearly wanted nothing to do with him. I hate guys like that."
Serafall's smile turned feral.
"Oh. Oh this is perfect."
She straightened, cape fluttering dramatically even though there was no wind.
"Then it's settled. You'll train Rias Gremory's peerage."
Nate's eyes gleamed.
"Ten days, right?"
Serafall nodded.
"Ten days."
He cracked his neck once.
"I'll need full access. No holding back. No political babysitting."
Serafall laughed.
"You think I'd stop you?"
Nate stood up, energy shifting—calm, confident, dangerous in that quiet way.
"I'm not just training them to win."
Kurumu tilted her head.
"…Then what?"
Nate smiled.
"I'm training them to humiliate him."
Mizore's eyes sparkled faintly.
Blizzaria crossed her arms, clearly approving.
Kyubi's smirk widened from the corner of the room.
Serafall clapped her hands together.
"Levi-chan officially approves this violence~!"
She turned to leave, then paused at the door.
"Oh, one more thing."
Nate looked at her.
"Yeah?"
Serafall grinned wickedly.
"Raiser still doesn't know you're the Yokai King."
Nate's grin sharpened.
"Good."
Because somewhere in the Underworld…
A phoenix was about to learn what happens when arrogance meets organized chaos.

Gremory Territory – Gremory Manor
Rias was halfway through complaining.
"…I'm telling you, onii-sama, Raiser's peerage fights like they've memorized the rulebook and set it on fire afterward," she said, pacing the room. "They're efficient, coordinated, and—"
Sirzechs calmly sipped his tea.
"—annoying," Rias finished, throwing herself onto the couch. "Yes. Very annoying."
Sirzechs set the teacup down.
"Rias," he said gently, which immediately made her suspicious. "I've arranged a solution."
Rias perked up.
"Oh? You found a secret trainer? Ancient demon? Retired Satan? Hidden dragon?"
"…Not exactly."
Sirzechs folded his hands.
"I've asked someone to train your peerage."
Rias blinked.
"…Asked who?"
Sirzechs paused, choosing his words carefully.
"The Yokai King."
Silence.
Rias stared at him.
"…The what?"
Sirzechs nodded once.
"The Yokai King. Current ruler of the Yokai clans. Z-rank entity. Comparable to Satan-class in combat."
Rias laughed.
She laughed hard.
"Ahahaha—good one! Wow, you almost got me. The Yokai haven't had a unified ruler in centuries, onii-sama."
Sirzechs didn't laugh.
Rias slowly stopped.
"…You're serious."
"Yes."
Rias sat up straight.
"Wait—wait wait wait. Since when do Yokai have a king?"
Sirzechs raised one finger.
"Sixteen years."
Rias froze.
"…Sixteen?"
"Yes."
Her eyes narrowed.
"That's… exactly my age."
Sirzechs nodded again.
Rias' brain audibly screeched.
'No. No no no. Don't tell me—'
"And," Sirzechs continued, calmly detonating the situation, "he is also the Child of Prophecy the Yokai have been waiting for."
Rias stood up so fast the couch almost flipped.
"THEY HAD A WHAT?!"
Sirzechs winced slightly at the volume.
"Yes. A child born with Spirit Bond authority. Capable of unifying clans, empowering others, and bypassing racial limitations."
Rias paced now.
"Why is this the first time I'm hearing this?!"
Sirzechs coughed.
"…Because the Yokai are very good at minding their own business."
Rias stopped dead.
"…Where is he."
Sirzechs hesitated for half a second.
"Living as a student."
Rias slowly turned.
"…A student."
"Yes."
Her voice dropped.
"At which school."
Sirzechs looked her in the eyes.
"Y Academy."
Rias screamed internally.
'Of course it's Y Academy. Of COURSE.'
She dragged a hand down her face.
"So let me get this straight. There's a Z-rank Yokai King. Child of Prophecy. Walking around as a teenager. Going to the same school that casually houses demons, yokai, fallen angels, vampire, and idiots."
"…Yes."
"And," she continued, dread creeping in, "you want him to train my peerage."
"Yes."
Rias swallowed.
"…Is he stable?"
Sirzechs smiled.
"That depends."
Rias narrowed her eyes.
"On what."
Sirzechs replied honestly.
"On whether Raiser Phoenix annoys him."
Rias paused.
Then.
A slow, dangerous smile spread across her face.
"…I like him already."
Sirzechs relaxed slightly.
"Good. Because he already agreed."
Rias blinked.
"…He did?"
"Yes. Immediately."
"…Why?"
Sirzechs remembered Serafall's exact words.
'He said—and I quote—"I wanted to punch that chicken anyway."'
Sirzechs cleared his throat.
"He has… history with Raiser."
Rias laughed.
"Oh this is going to be fun."
She stopped, suddenly thoughtful.
"…What's his name?"
Sirzechs answered.
"Nate."
Rias repeated it softly.
"Nate…"
Somewhere far away, Nate sneezed.
Rias straightened, eyes burning with resolve.
"Then I'll meet him. As an equal. Not as someone being 'helped.'"
Sirzechs smiled proudly.
"That's why I didn't tell you sooner."
Rias smirked.
"Good. Because if this Yokai King thinks I'm weak—"
Sirzechs chuckled.
"Oh, Rias… from what I've heard?"
She looked at him.
"He's about to teach you what 'unfair' really looks like."

Adam House – Living Room
Nate flicked the Yo-kai Medal into the air.
Jibanyan's medal spun, caught the light, then landed neatly between his fingers.
He stared at it, thumb rubbing over the etched face.
'So… DxD canon's starting.'
He leaned back on the couch, arms resting behind his head, medal balanced on his chest.
'Truth be told, I was expecting to meet the main cast during the Kyoto arc. You know—big yokai mess, oni, gods, dramatic entrances.'
He snorted softly.
'Not this early.'
The medal glowed faintly, reacting to his Spirit Bond. Jibanyan's voice crackled faintly from it.
"Nyate… something big coming, nyan?"
Nate glanced down at the medal.
"Yeah," he said casually. "Big and loud. Devils. Rating games. One flaming chicken with an ego problem."
Jibanyan shuddered.
"Nyah… sounds annoying."
Nate smiled.
'Still… I can work with this.'
His eyes sharpened—not predatory, just focused.
'Rias vs Raiser. Ten days. She's underpowered, out-experienced, and overconfident.'
He rolled the medal across his knuckles.
'But that's fine.'
A quiet grin crept onto his face.
'Because I don't train people to play fair.'
The front door slid open.
Kunou peeked in.
"Nate? You smiling like that again."
He looked at her.
"Yeah," he admitted. "Means someone just volunteered to get stronger whether they like it or not."
Kunou tilted her head.
"…Is this about that demon girl?"
"Her," Nate said, sitting up. "And her whole peerage."
The medal flashed once, brighter.
Nate closed his fist around it.
'Z-rank strike team. Yokai support. Devils who think they know combat.'
His grin widened.
'Ophis is gonna love this.'
He stood up.
"Alright," he muttered. "Time to rewrite a Rating Game."
Somewhere far away, a phoenix sneezed.
And for the first time all day—
Nate laughed.
The Next Morning – Adam House
Morning light filtered through the windows, soft and calm.
Too calm.
Nate stood in the living room with his bags neatly stacked by his feet. Clothes. Training gear. A few Yo-kai Medals. One notebook labeled "Don't break reality (again)".
He checked the time.
'They're punctual. Devils always are.'
A magic circle bloomed open in the center of the room—deep crimson and blue, runes rotating with quiet authority.
Serafall stepped out first, hands on her hips, grin already in place.
Right behind her—
Nate straightened instantly.
She was tall, elegant, and terrifyingly composed. Long silver hair flowed down her back, twin braids tied with blue bows. Red eyes sharp enough to cut through nonsense. Her blue-and-white maid outfit was immaculate, every line perfect.
Grayfia Lucifuge.
Nate immediately bowed, clean and respectful.
"Lady Grayfia," he said calmly. "It's an honor."
Grayfia paused.
Looked at him.
Then inclined her head slightly.
"The honor is mutual," she replied. Her voice was cool, measured. "Yokai King."
Serafall leaned in, stage-whispering loudly.
"Oho~ first impressions going great!"
Nate relaxed a fraction.
'Good. Didn't mess that up.'
Serafall clapped her hands.
"Nate-kun, let's go! We've got ten days, a desperate peerage, and one phoenix who desperately needs humility."
Nate rolled his shoulders, cracking his neck once.
"Yeah—just a sec."
Footsteps padded down the stairs.
Kunou appeared, carrying her own bag, ears twitching slightly with excitement. She stopped next to Nate, calm but alert.
"I'm ready," she said simply.
Grayfia's gaze shifted to her.
She studied Kunou for a long moment—fox ears, aura, posture.
"…The Queen," Grayfia noted.
Kunou smiled politely.
"Yes."
Serafall's eyes sparkled.
"Oh this trip is going to be fun."
Nate picked up his bag and slung it over his shoulder. He glanced around the house one last time.
'Ten days. Train devils. Break expectations. Punch a chicken.'
He nodded to himself.
"Alright," he said. "Let's go to this hidden mansion."
The magic circle expanded.
Energy surged.
And with one final flash of light—
The Yokai King stepped directly into DxD canon.
To be counted.
