Chapter 294 - Chapter 6: Adamantine Strength

After dinner, Kimberly found an excuse to leave, leaving only Emiya and Medea in the dorm room.

Emiya used telekinesis to wash and put away the dishes, then opened the box Kimberly had brought with her.

Inside the suitcase were three identical Eve's Hearts.

He picked one up, examined it carefully, and then handed it to Medea.

After studying it for a moment, Medea smiled faintly.

"It truly is an outstanding magical circuit. Calling it exquisitely crafted wouldn't be an exaggeration."

Although Emiya had already uploaded the schematics for automaton magic and Eve's Heart to the group chat, those were ultimately just theoretical designs. Only now, with the finished product in her hands, did Medea fully grasp the ingenious structure and application of Eve's Heart.

It was, without question, remarkable.

"Then I'll leave it to you, Medea," Emiya said.

He wanted to create a giant dragon, but he had no intention of building it himself. To be blunt, it sounded like too much trouble.

That was why he had called Medea over.

As for the Gundam, that project was temporarily shelved. Hephaestus and Professor Agasa were still working on it, so there was no need to rush.

"No problem," Medea replied confidently.

As a disciple of Hecate, the goddess of magic, she was proficient in both homunculus creation and automaton techniques. With those foundations, constructing an automated dragon posed no real difficulty.

Materials were even less of a concern-Emiya could supply everything himself.

From Medea's perspective, it was simply a matter of time.

However, while considering which magical circuit would be most suitable, Medea's interest was drawn to Adamantine Strength.

Adamantine Strength was the strongest magical circuit in this world. If there were any circuit worthy of a dragon, this was it.

Coincidentally, the automaton equipped with Adamantine Strength was Raishin Akabane's automaton-Yaya.

Medea, without much hesitation, came to a conclusion: she would kidnap Yaya and examine the circuit directly.

When Emiya heard her plan, he immediately stopped her.

"How about this," he said. "Leave it to me. I'll talk to Akabane Raishin."

Medea agreed readily.

"Then I'll leave it to you, darling."

"Don't worry," Emiya replied with confidence. "I won't disappoint you."

The next day at noon, Emiya arrived at the student cafeteria in the academy's main square.

From the outside, it looked like a modern building, with one entire wall made of glass. Inside, the ceiling was high, and the open-plan space was bright and spacious. White tables were neatly arranged throughout, giving the place a clean and orderly atmosphere.

Against the far wall near the kitchen, an impressive spread of food was laid out. Large platters and metal containers held all kinds of dishes-meat, fish, salads, bread, and more. Students lined up in orderly fashion, serving themselves.

Emiya paid none of it any attention.

No matter how good the food was, it couldn't compare to what he had eaten at Kikkaro or during the goddesses' feasts. After being spoiled by Nakiri Erina and Madam Pai, his standards were simply too high.

He was here for one reason only.

To find Akabane Raishin-and Yaya.

After circling the cafeteria once, Emiya spotted them.

They weren't alone.

They were sitting with someone else.

Charlotte.

A member of the Night Party whom Akabane Raishin had recently challenged. Her code name was something along the lines of "Tyrannical Queen."

Emiya walked over at an unhurried pace and sat down across from them.

Charlotte's expression instantly turned cold. She shot Emiya a sharp, chilling glare that would have made most people flinch.

Emiya didn't care in the slightest.

His gaze settled casually on Raishin.

"Yo, Raishin."

"It's you?" Raishin looked surprised. "What a coincidence."

Charlotte frowned.

"Who is this rude person?"

Raishin scratched his head.

"This is Emiya. He's Professor Kimberly's assistant... I think?" He glanced at Emiya for confirmation.

Emiya nodded.

"That's right. I'm currently Professor Kimberly's assistant. And this meeting isn't a coincidence-I came here specifically to find you."

"To find me?" Raishin pointed at himself.

"Yes. I want something from you. In exchange, I'm willing to offer a generous reward."

Raishin narrowed his eyes.

"I won't say I'll agree, but I'll ask anyway. What do you want from me?"

Emiya turned his head toward Yaya.

"I-"

"No way! I don't agree!" Yaya suddenly shouted, throwing her arms around Raishin.

"Yaya belongs to Raishin! No one is allowed to take Yaya away!"

She clung to him tightly.

"Help me, Raishin! Yaya is being targeted by a pervert!"

Emiya: "..."

I didn't even finish my sentence. How did I become a pervert?

Raishin's face darkened immediately.

"If what you want is Yaya, then no matter what reward you offer, I won't agree. Please leave."

Emiya sighed.

"Could you at least let me finish? Do I look like someone who enjoys stealing other people's love? Besides, I'm not interested in clingy girls."

"Clingy? Who's clingy?!" Yaya shot back indignantly.

"Yaya simply loves Raishin deeply. And Raishin deeply loves Yaya too, right?"

Raishin instinctively looked away.

"I wouldn't be so sure."

Emiya added calmly, "That behavior is generally defined as 'clingy.'"

Yaya took critical emotional damage.

Raishin quickly stepped in, unable to watch anymore.

"If you don't want Yaya, then what is it? Could it be..."

A realization struck him.

"Adamantine Strength," Emiya said at the same time.

"You want Yaya's clothes," Raishin said.

"..."

"..."

An unbearable silence followed.

Emiya finally exploded.

"Akabane Raishin, I thought you were a normal person. Now I see I was wrong. Has your brain been assimilated by Yaya?"

He turned to Yaya.

"Congratulations, Miss Yaya. You've successfully dragged Raishin's intelligence down to your level. At this rate, he'll soon become a pervert worthy of you. I suggest you intensify your nighttime attacks. If that still doesn't work, don't worry-I can provide suitable medicine."

He continued without mercy.

"Trust me. After taking it, Akabane Raishin would get aroused by a pillar. At that point, you can do whatever you want."

Yaya's eyes sparkled.

"Really?"

"Don't give Yaya something that dangerous!" Raishin shouted hurriedly.

"And I was wrong just now! I apologize! I'm sorry, okay?!"

Emiya nodded.

"Apology accepted. Now let's talk about Adamantine Strength."

"Sorry," Raishin replied flatly. "I refuse."

"Yaya may be my automaton, but I didn't create her. Anything involving Adamantine Strength requires permission from someone else."

"Karyuusai Shouko, right?"

"That's right."

"That works too," Emiya said. "You can contact Karyuusai Shouko and-"

He stopped mid-sentence.

Raishin's expression had changed completely. His gaze had shifted past Emiya.

Emiya followed it.

A figure was walking through the cafeteria with an unhurried, commanding stride-silver mask, black coat fluttering behind him.

Emiya immediately understood.

Magnus.

The Night Party's number-one ranked student. The strongest in the academy.

The Glove Holder known as "Silver Mask."

The student council president.

"The Marshal."

Magnus was not his real name.

His true name was Akabane Tenzen.

Raishin Akabane's older brother.

Born into a prestigious family of automaton makers in the Far East, the Akabane family had been wiped out two years ago-by Akabane Tenzen himself.

Not because he was unfilial.

But because the family had been targeted.

More precisely, the targets were Raishin and their younger sister, Akabane Nadeshiko.

To protect his sister, Tenzen betrayed his family, participated in the massacre, and even dissected Nadeshiko, sealing her six body parts into his automatons before fleeing under a false identity.

In the end, he sacrificed himself to resurrect her-along with Raishin.

The trope felt strangely familiar.

Good heavens, Emiya thought. Even Itachi Uchiha would be impressed.

One destroyed his clan for his brother.

The other did it for his sister.

Both were merciless toward their own families.

However, the current Raishin knew none of this.

After surviving the massacre, he had taken refuge with Karyuusai Shouko, received Yaya, and traveled here for one purpose.

Revenge.

The moment he saw Magnus, Raishin stood up.

"Yaya!"

As his loyal automaton, Yaya obeyed instantly. She rose and followed him, her expression resolute-ready to confront Magnus... or rather, Akabane Tenzen.

Charlotte looked confused.

She didn't understand why Raishin had suddenly become so agitated.

"Wait!" She stood up, trying to stop him.

"You can't," Emiya said calmly, placing a hand on her shoulder and pressing her back down.

Being called the "Tyrannical Queen" wasn't for nothing.

The instant she felt his hand, Charlotte shouted sharply:

"Sigmund!!"
