Chapter 333: The Fall
"We can't delay any longer!"
Steadying himself, Di Tian's thoughts turned sharp.
He could sense time in the outside world still flowing—Bi Ji and his Lord's avatar were still battling the God of Greed. Every second wasted placed them in greater danger.
Resoluteness flashed in his golden eyes.
He spread open the Board of All Beings once more. This time, the black-and-white mist no longer served a defensive purpose but surged forward like a tidal wave, engulfing the God of Destruction entirely.
"Not good!"
The God of Destruction's heart thundered in alarm. She could feel a strange pull within the fog, a suction so eerie it seemed to be siphoning away her divine power.
She hurriedly gathered her soul force, igniting the Flame of Annihilation across her body to form armor of blazing fire in an attempt to resist the engulfing mist.
But then—Di Tian's voice echoed beside her ear like a ghostly whisper. "It's over."
The God of Destruction looked up sharply—his golden claws had pierced the fog, descending toward her brow, shimmering with radiant light.
The faint dragon might coiled around those claws chilled her soul more than any flame.
It was Di Tian's strongest technique, capable of transcending his own rank even as a ten-thousand-year beast.
"Dragon God Claw!"
A flash of gold—time itself seemed to freeze.
The last thing she saw was that golden claw reflected in her wide pupils. She tried to move, to evade—but the black-and-white fog had locked her body in place.
There was nowhere to run.
A sharp sound split the silence.
The golden claw sliced effortlessly through her flaming armor, striking directly between her brows.
Her body went rigid, the fire on her skin extinguished, the light fading rapidly from her eyes.
"You…"
She barely mouthed the word before her form crumbled like ash in the wind, dissolving into countless motes of crimson light that vanished into the mist.
A deep hum resonated through the Board of All Beings.
With her death, the entire domain shook violently.
The black-and-white fog dispersed like a retreating tide, leaving only the starlit canopy of the Star Dou Forest above.
Di Tian reappeared at the battlefield. His breath came heavy, battle scars marking his scales, but his gaze remained sharp as polished steel.
"It's done."
He exhaled, turning toward the center of the forest.
There, the avatar of his Lord battled fiercely with the God of Greed.
Though the avatar carried only thirty percent of Gu Yue Na's true power, she wielded mastery over eight elements with flawless control.
At one moment, the battlefield was frozen in a blizzard stretching for miles; the next, shredding wind blades screamed through the air, forcing the God of Greed backward again and again.
Bi Ji stood nearby, streaming waves of life energy into the avatar.
A luminous emerald screen surrounded them, blocking several of the God of Greed's ambushes.
"Where is the God of Destruction?"
The God of Greed spotted Di Tian's arrival, scanning the empty space behind him. A sinking dread filled his chest.
Di Tian answered with action—his wings snapped open, launching him skyward in a burst of golden light that streaked straight toward the terrified god.
"She's dead."
The words were cold as ice, whispering beside the God of Greed's ear.
"Impossible!"
Panic flashed across his face. He stumbled backward, only to slam into a sudden wall of solid ice that closed off his retreat.
He turned quickly—Gu Yue Na's avatar had appeared behind him, her palm glowing with pitch-black energy.
It was compressed dark-element essence.
"Elemental Annihilation!"
The avatar's voice cut through the air as she hurled the sphere of darkness at him.
At the same moment, Di Tian's golden claws swept forward, and Bi Ji summoned tendrils of life energy—green vines bursting from the ground, entangling the God of Greed and holding him fast.
Cornered on three sides, the Greed God finally erupted in desperation.
He unleashed his divine power wildly, countless black tendrils lashing out from his sleeves in a last attempt to defend.
But the moment they touched the orb of darkness, they dissolved like snow beneath fire.
"No—!"
His scream split the air as the dark element detonated within him. Di Tian's golden claw followed instantly, smashing through his chest and shattering his divine soul completely.
Deprived of its divine support, his body fragmented into black motes of light and dispersed into the night.
With both gods slain, Di Tian and Bi Ji flew at once to guard the cave where their Lord continued her breakthrough.
…
In the Divine Realm—
"What? Both Greed and Destruction… have fallen?"
Inside the Divine Realm's central hall, shock rippled through every gathered god.
How could this be possible?
The God of Greed's death was plausible—they expected the Silver Dragon King to have devised precautions before her breakthrough.
To ensure her downfall, they had even dispatched two gods to deal with her personally.
Yet none had anticipated the appearance of that strange chessboard in Di Tian's hands—a device that swallowed the God of Destruction into an illusory realm.
No one in the council could explain how he managed to kill her.
But the instant both gods perished, a quake of power rocked the heavens—two pillars of fading light rising across the divine sky, signifying the fall of their thrones.
Twin divine positions had vanished.
There was no time left for hesitation.
Tang San's voice rang across the chamber. "There's no time to waste. Regardless of the Divine Realm's restrictions, we must stop the Silver Dragon King's ascension. If necessary, exterminate the entire spirit beast race."
The God of Destruction, the God of Life, and the others exchanged grim looks, their expressions tightening as they nodded.
The situation had crossed beyond diplomacy—it was now a matter of survival.
If Gu Yue Na succeeded in breaking through to the God King realm, the Divine Realm itself could fall into jeopardy.
A low hum reverberated through the heavens.
In the next heartbeat, Tang San and the five Divine Kings unleashed their full divine power, releasing beams of destructive energy that streaked down toward the Douluo Continent.
Their combined might carried devastation enough to erase all existence in its path.
The lesser gods could only watch, powerless to intervene.
They knew that under the wrath of five Divine Kings, even if the Silver Dragon King somehow survived, the Star Dou Forest—and perhaps the entire continent—would be obliterated.
…
At that moment, Gu Yue Na's breakthrough had reached its final stage.
The thunder surging around her grew more violent, silver hair completely drowned in electric light.
The dragon-shaped lightning mark on her brow glowed brighter than ever—the aura of the ninth element thundering forth, clearer with each pulse.
Boom!
A deafening shock tore through the heavens.
Di Tian and Bi Ji looked up in unison, their hearts turning cold—five colossal spheres of divine energy were hurtling down from the sky, blazing like stars of annihilation.
"The Five Divine Kings—they've come personally!"
Bi Ji's face turned pale. The pressure bearing down from above dwarfed even that of the fallen gods of Greed and Destruction. It was a force capable of crushing the entire Douluo Continent beneath its might.
