Maeve was preparing noodles and asked as she waited for the water to boil, "Isn't there a service area on the highway?"
Gage Grant came out of the guest bathroom, walked into the kitchen, hugged her and kissed her for a while, then leaned his forehead against hers and laughed, "I was in a hurry to see you, drove straight through without stopping."
"Don't do that next time."
"I'll do as you say."
The water boiled, and Maeve turned to put the noodles into the pot.
Gage circled his arms around her waist from behind, glancing at the plain white noodles in the pot. Though he was starving, he didn't want to eat such tasteless food.
"How about ordering some delivery? We could have a drink together?"
Maeve paused her hand in the noodles, turned to look at him, "Order delivery? Then I won't cook the noodles."
"Don't cook."
