It really looked like sleepwalking.
Jared's eye twitched twice as he followed behind her, watching where she was headed. The old Melody had never had anything like this.
The servants in the hall had gone to bed early. Melody walked down the stairs, then into the kitchen, deftly took some vegetables out and started cooking.
Jared called Leon Rivers. "What do you do about sleepwalking?"
"Your sister‑in‑law?"
"Who else?"
"If she's really sleepwalking, you absolutely can't try to wake her up. You need to guide her back to bed." Leon scratched his hair. "Do you want me to come over?"
Jared glanced at the pajamas Melody was wearing. "No need."
In the kitchen, Melody was quietly sitting and eating. The food she'd made was especially delicate. After she finished, she carried it out and set it on the table in the hall. Jared saw the dish was Timmy's favorite and his brow twitched hard.
