By noon the next day, at Silver Crown, Mirabelle had already arrived with Fred. She sat before her dressing mirror staring at her reflection and the rubber face on the table that Fred wanted her to be.
She had tried connecting with Maeve but so far, no song had been sung. Not even a thought, it's almost like Maeve had completely blocked their connection. She needed to see her sister, to be sure their connection was still intact.
Mirabelle placed the rubber face on her face and implanted it very well. The only people that knew about her true identity was Fred, Mr Martin and herself. She wanted it that way.
The less people know, the easier it is to keep it hidden. And if the truth ever leaks, they'll know who was responsible.
A knock was immediately heard by the door and Mirabelle turned to look at it. She quickly fixed her face and walked to the door.
"Who is it?" She asked.
"Martin, boss asked me to check if you're done."
