Elena shifted against him, her hand pressing flat against his chest. "Let's go again."
Liam didn't move. He stared at the ceiling for a moment. "Won't they come looking for me?"
Elena lifted her head. "What?"
"The facility. I was just in there. I saw all of that." He turned his head toward her. "That's not the kind of place that lets people just walk out and go on with their day."
Elena looked at him for a second. Then she settled back, her head resting on his shoulder, unbothered. "You're in the clear."
"How."
"Because I picked that location specifically." She traced a slow line across his chest with one finger. "I know how that place operates. I know what he wants and what he's afraid of. That facility exists because I allowed it to exist in that building. He knows that. Which means he's not going to do anything that makes me unhappy."
Liam thought about it. "And coming after me would make you unhappy."
