I really wonder how will those cousins of mine fare .
Things have changed quite strongly in the family, if the previous patriarch were to rise from the dead, I doubt that he will even be able to recognize the family as he left it .
The Yotsuba Family Head had ordered that most of the family's business will be on the light from here on out, somethings were better stay hidden, but all in all everything seemed to be going in a good direction .
Just as I was thinking of that, the car had stopped, the reason was because we had arrived to our destination, it didn't took that much time to arrive, because seriously we were just a few blocks away from the school, it would have taken less time to just walk there, but keeping appearance was a must .
I really began to become tired of having to keep appearances when I hadn't even started the real challenge yet, I'm enrolling at First High as the prince of the Yotsuba, I had an intense premonition that I would be in quite a difficult situation .
I get out of the car on my own and was faced with the fearful and embarrassed look of the old driver, I patted the scared man on the shoulder and calmed him down first, Juvia not wanting to be the reason for me being late, directly followed my actions and hopped out as well .
She fixed her uniform and was holding my bag for me, I told the driver not to come and pick me after school, he was first quite alarmed, thinking that he might have done something wrong to insult me or something .
Him being panicking like this, ended in making a scene and embarrassing me for real, other students passing by the gate, mostly males began to gossip that I was using my authority to bully and embarrass the driver, the females batch that were present were focused more on fawning over me .
I told the old driver that I would be walking back on foot to familiarize myself with the surroundings and that this was an order, I also calmed him down and said that if a problem were to occur because of this, I will give explanation on his behalf, only then did he finally accepted to get back home .
Just as the car turned, the sigil of the Yotsuba Family was visible and the guys that were gossiping about me swallowed their words in an instant, the girls suddenly began to cheer loudly, I wasn't able to know who was the first person to call, but my title as the Yotsuba's Charming Prince was called by someone and soon I saw a cloud of girls approaching us .
I took Juvia hands in a hurry and stormed into the school, in the eyes of the students, my moves were like teleportation, that was just me moving quite a bit faster than them, sighing to myself, I let Juvia finally land on the ground and the girl's face was so red that I thought she was having a strong fever .
Taking advantage of her absent-minded, I took my school bag from her embrace and began to stroll forward afraid that I will be swarmed again by those crazy girls, I was really beginning to hate the fact that unless necessary there was a rule that strictly forbidden the use of magic in the school grounds .
I would have at least disguised myself as someone else for some time, people recognizing my title and appearance seemed to be more troublesome than I thought it would, turning to the following behind closely Juvia, I asked her if she was okay and she still a bit sheepish from what happened before nodded weakly .
Seeing that we still have some time before the actual Entrance Ceremony, I wanted to stroll around and see what made this school, the most prestigious magic school in the country, I tried to tell Juvia that she can stroll around as she liked, but her response was that she wanted to accompany me .
Knowing that I won't be able to dissuade her from doing so, I agreed to make her tag along, as we passed other students and soon to be classmates, I couldn't help but notice that we got a few fearful and unsettled looks from these guys .
These stares weren't aimed at us directly, else Juvia would have dealt with these guys right off the bat, without caring in the slightest about us still being at the school grounds .
Instead these stares were aimed at the sigil on the shoulders of our uniforms, then realization hit me when I saw that most of these guys don't have the same emblem on their shoulders, in fact they don't have any kind of emblem at all .
Then it drowned on me, these guys were what other Blooms here call Weeds, this was also one of the grave problems that I had read about regarding this institute, the separation of treatment between those who either have strong family backgrounds and those who doesn't .
Those who have importance in the Magical society and those who might have potential to become someones of importance and those that are deemed by the current system usless trash .
I as a person who had skipped the second assessment completely due to the strong backing behind me and still got the first place, should really have no face to speak about this, but seeing how these guys looked fearfully at me just now, I really couldn't help but think deeply into this matter .
This kind of attitude and atmosphere isn't good for learning, not by any chance, so why does this system exist is really beyond my understanding, just as I was thinking like this, I suddenly heard a laughter coming from a bit far in the distance and seemed to have heard a familiar voice among the group of people chatting in a corner .
Fixing my gaze towards that place, I was able to see a familiar face, Miyuki was entertaining a group of males and females students, she had a faint smile on her face and her demeanor was quite easy-going .
Seeing her so refined like this, I couldn't help but think that she would become very popular in the school, I also couldn't help but wanting to ditch my responsibility to say a motivational speech in the start of the term to her, but soon I discarded of that thought .
Even if I were to succeed in convincing her, the Student Council President and those who are associated with the school system might not agree, it wasn't easy for them to get a Yotsuba Family member as a Freshmen Representative .
So cute, is this your pet, is pets even allowed in the school grounds .
Without even a need to look in their direction, I was able to guess what might have happened and surly enough, I saw the Familiar I gave her before making its appearance .
The pink rabbit hopped directly on Miyuki's shoulder and made her look even more refined, she looked like she just walked out of a painting, both the girls and the boys in the circle around her looked to be quite mesmerized by her appearance .
I wasn't seeing her for the first time, so I instead moved my sight around and surely enough, I saw a proud big brother looking at her from quite some distance looking to be even more proud of her than usual .
But as I looked towards him, his eyes suddenly turned sharper in an instant and he turned to look in my direction, wanting to know who was spying on him in this new kind of environment, just as he become aware of who was looking at him, he become relaxed again, I sent him a telepathic message that said :
" You really should try to keep that killing intent of yours under control, I almost released my own just now out of instinct .
It didn't take much time for him to respond by nodding in my direction and saying nothing more, I wanted to ask what with the cold attitude, but soon the communication between the two of us was cut short as Miyuki seemed to have had enough fun with her friends and she noticed her Big Brother standing there all alone .
She probably mistook the killing intent he showed just now for him feeling left out, so she directly ran to him and tried to introduce him to some of the friends she made much to the annoyance of her new friends .
Miyuki was a Bloom after and the same went for those friends of hers, as for Tatsuya and even though I understand his reasons and the need for him to act so secretive, I still didn't like the fact that he was labeled as a Weed and that was why those guys were unwilling to get to know him, not to mention their unwillingness to see Miyuki even get close to him .
As seen from the scornful look that a brown haired guy was giving him, I found the scene to be quite funny, thinking about how would it take Tatsuya less than a second to deal with all these guys and they won't even be able to make the slightest bit of movement to defend themselves, yet they are acting all high and mighty like that .
But understanding Tatsuya's character, I was able to understand that he would never try to do something so pointless and just as I expected, he shook his head and let go of Miyuki and told her to get back, as he will go and take a stroll around .
Miyuki being quite the perceptive understood what was troubling him and wanted to cheer him up, but he merely patted her head and told her that there will be time later, but even this gesture of affection between the two made that brown haired guy and almost everyone in that group glare at Tatsuya .
The latter didn't care much and just sighed tiredly then began to move away, witnessing all of this unfolding, I couldn't help but click my tongue in a slight bit of annoyance and I wanted to really teach these guys a lesson, but no fighting in the school grounds, these rules are really becoming troublesome .
Ryuu-sama should we go and meet Miyuki-sama and Tatsuya-sama .
Just as I was engrossed in my own thoughts, Juvia's words awakened me from my trance, hearing what she said, I couldn't help but be reminded of the warning my mom gave me, she told me that it was better for all parties to not try interacting with each other, at least for a period of time after the school starts .
I at that time didn't understand the reasons behind having to do something like this, but after understanding the ins and outs on the relationships between the magic families and the risk that came with belonging to such families, I understood that it was indeed better that way .
And it wasn't like we won't have the chance to interact with one another, after all if I were to meet them as friends later on, it shouldn't raise that much suspicion regarding their identity, hopefully .
" For now, we will stick to the instructions given by the family head, it shouldn't be late to introduce ourselves to them later on .
Sorry Ryuu-sama, I understand .
" You don't need to apologize, I myself really want to go and greet these two guys, but for their sake I currently can't .
The girl simply nodded and said nothing more, I was trying to see if there were another route we can take other than to go back or pass by this group of arrogant people, but it seemed that I had run into a dead end, checking the time .
I noted that there was 10 minutes before the ceremony begins, not enough time for me to actually turn around, so paving the way forward courageously was the only way forward .
The moment I came into the view of these guys and girls, they were stunned at first, Miyuki was also a bit surprised, her troubled expression eased up a little and she flashed me a welcoming smile, but soon stopped as she became aware of what she was doing and where we were and who we currently were to one another as well .
After the initial surprise, the group of people suddenly began to swarm me after realizing my identity, I was being swarmed by quite the lots of people, Juvia almost got thrown out of the circle around me, if not for the fact that I reached her with my hand in time .
Wondering what these guys actually wanted by swarming me like this, each obe of them began to introduce themselves to me, the girls were the first to take the initiative to greet me and some even dared to directly try and reach out their hands, but they would be directly blocked by my strong like steel guardian when it came to these kinds of matter, Juvia .
Juvia glared at the girls and the boys gathering around us, but I patted her on the shoulder and told her not to worry much about this .
I then was forced to hear the introduction of the people in front and surely enough, these guys were quite arrogant, not one of them did introduce himself to me without boasting about the position of his father and how would it be of their greatest honor, if I were to visit their homes .
The boys were trying to join my group, in less than a few seconds after we met, those guys were already trying to make a group with me at the center of it, I politely refused and told them that their thoughts and intentions are noted and I would be sure to take them on their offers when I were to give this thought a go .
The girls on the other hands began to ask me about mostly my current social state and whether I had someone I liked, already aware of the predicament that might soon follow if I were to say that I don't have one, I decided that it was better to confirm that I indeed have someone that I liked .
As they heard this, their spirits were crushed instantly and seeing them down like this almost made me laugh out loud, but I suppressed it once more, yet it seem that my words just didn't have the same deterring effect on a group of girls, those girls actually voiced out openly that they would not be sad or wronged if I were to agree on taking them as my Mistresses .
Before I completely start cursing out loud, a soft voice that seemed to be completely tired and out of breath sounded from behind me, the voice was saying :
Why are you all gathered here like this the ceremony is about to start, oh, I have been looking all over the school for you, Yotsuba Ryuu-san .
