===============================

[Sun Jing's POV]

Entry #1

It's been a few days since Asia became a devil and officially joined Rias' peerage. She's also moved into my place, which honestly has been going smoother than I expected. The maids and butlers took to her almost instantly. Then again, they tend to dote on anyone I bring home, but with Asia it's different. She's… easy to like.

I'm just glad things worked out for her. She got a second chance, and now she actually has the freedom to live her life the way she wants. That alone makes everything worth it.

The only thing that's been… noticeable lately is how clingy she's gotten.

At first, I figured it made sense. The mansion's huge, and it's easy to get lost if you're not used to it. I didn't even realize how bad it was until a few days ago when everyone stayed over and Issei somehow managed to get lost just trying to find the kitchen in the middle of the night.

That one's probably on me.

Still, that doesn't really explain everything. Asia sticks close even when she doesn't need to. Not that I mind, but I've got my own things to deal with too. I need to keep leveling if I want to hit 30 and unlock my evolution. I barely got anything from that last fight, and I haven't even touched the instant dungeon since.

I could just use Heart Reading and figure out what she's thinking… but no. That feels wrong. I'd rather keep that ability for fights. Good thing I can turn it off.

…Anyway, moving on.

Today's Asia's first day at school. She'll be attending Kuoh Academy with the rest of us and shes in the same class as me and Issei. That should make things easier.

Also, I still need to deal with Aika. She texted me earlier saying she wants to talk about our date in person. I'll handle that when I get there.

That should be everything.

[General POV]

Sun Jing lightly tapped her pen against her cheek, staring at the last line she'd written as if debating whether to add anything else. After a moment, she let out a small breath and closed the notebook, sliding it neatly into her desk drawer.

She was already dressed in her school uniform, though a towel rested loosely around her shoulders, her damp hair still carrying traces of moisture from her earlier shower.

"Guess that's enough," she muttered under her breath.

Just as she stood up from her chair, the door to her room creaked open slightly. Asia peeked inside. "Sorry! Did I interrupt something?" she asked quickly.

Sun Jing shook her head. "No, nothing important." She walked over, her posture relaxed as always. "You ready to go?"

Asia nodded, stepping fully into the room.

Sun Jing's eyes flicked over her for a second before she spoke again. "You look good in the uniform. I'm glad we found one that actually fits you."

Asia's face warmed slightly at the compliment. "Thank you… I really appreciate it."

Sun Jing casually ran a hand through her damp hair, using a bit of magic to dry it instantly. The strands lifted and settled back into their usual messy, spiked style as if nothing had happened.

"Let's head out," she said, already moving toward the door.

The two made their way outside, where the familiar black limousine was waiting. As they stepped in, Asia glanced around before looking back at Sun Jing.

"I wanted to thank you again… for everything," she said softly.

Sun Jing leaned back into her seat. "You've already said that."

"I know, but still…"

Sun Jing let out a quiet breath. "School's not anything special," she said after a moment. "But this one…" She paused briefly, then added, "Just don't let anyone mess with you."

Asia blinked. "Huh?"

"Stay away from perverts," Sun Jing said bluntly. "And if anyone bothers you, tell me or Issei. We'll handle it."

The limousine pulled up just as Issei reached the school gates. Issei adjusted his bag over his shoulder, spotting the two girls as they stepped out.

"Morning, guys," he greeted, raising a hand.

"Hi, Issei!" Asia replied brightly, her eyes already wandering as she took in the massive campus around her. "This place is so big… you two really go here?"

"Yup!" Issei puffed his chest a little, clearly proud. "And don't worry if you need anything, you can ask me or Sun. We've got you covered."

Sun Jing gave a small nod before slipping her hands into her pockets. "You mind taking her to class? I've got something to handle."

Issei narrowed his eyes slightly, a smirk creeping onto his face. "What's so important? Going to make a move on the President or something?"

"What? No." She let out an annoyed scoff. "I'm just talking to Aika. I'm not a horn dog like you. And before you say anything, I already know what you're thinking."

Issei flinched a little at how quickly she shut him down.

Asia looked between them before turning back to Sun Jing. "Will I see you later?"

"Yeah," Sun Jing said, her tone softening just a bit as she reached out and patted Asia's head. "Won't take long."

With that, she turned and walked off across the lawn, her gaze already set on a familiar figure waiting off to the side.

Aika stood with her arms lightly folded, though the moment she spotted Sun Jing approaching, she straightened slightly. Her eyes glanced briefly toward Asia before settling back on the blonde.

"So… who's she?" Aika asked, raising a brow. "And please tell me you're not about to bail on me."

Sun Jing shook her head immediately. "Relax. She's a friend. First day here, and she's staying at my place."

Aika seemed satisfied with that, her expression easing almost instantly. "Good," she said, stepping closer and takes Sun Jing's hand as they started walking together.

"About our date," Aika continued, her tone shifting slightly, a hint of excitement slipping through. "There's this fair that's been in town. I've always wanted to go, but never really had the chance. Tomorrow's the last day before it leaves."

Sun Jing didn't need time to think. "Then I'll take you."

Aika blinked, clearly caught off guard. "Really? You don't think it's… childish?"

Sun Jing glanced at her, completely unfazed. "Nope. People like fairs. Especially when they're with someone." She paused for a moment before adding, "Food's good too."

That was enough to make Aika's cheeks flush. She quickly adjusted her glasses, trying and failing to hide it.

"Should we go after school?" Sun Jing asked casually. "No need to dress up or anything. Just go and have fun."

Aika nodded, her grip on Sun Jing's hand tightening just slightly. "Yeah… I'd like that."
