"Oh my, he does take after me." His father mutters. His mother giggles, and shakes her head, her eyes unfocused as if remembering something from her past.
"I'm sorry," She gives a small smile, "It's not funny." She tilts her head up to look at her husband who still stands behind her. "Your father did the same thing to me back when he was younger." She sighs wistfully.
"He said he needed time to think." Zander groans, leaning back in his chair. "But how much time?"
It's been three days already. Three slow torturous days of no contact. At the end of his dinner at the restaurant, they exchanged phone numbers, and Zander felt like such a dick when he realized Ethan never changed his. So, with a guilty conscience and the strong urge to hit himself, Zander unblocked him.
Every morning and every night he'll check his messages and call log, refreshing the page just in case only to feel a bitter sense of defeat. What if Ethan doesn't contact him at all?
