Noah reached up and tried to push Adam's face away, and to his surprise, he was actually able to do it.
He looked at Adam with a mixture of confusion and lingering heat, his voice dropping to a low, breathless whisper. "Adam, what on earth are you doing? You just said you were going to let me go."
Adam didn't pull away entirely. Instead, he gave Noah a soft, lingering peck on the lips and offered a small, crooked smile. "Yeah, I will let you go eventually. I just really wanted to kiss you first."
Before Noah could even open his mouth to offer a witty retort or another protest, Adam moved back in.
He didn't give Noah a chance to speak another word, lowering his head and recapturing his lips with a renewed intensity.
Noah's first instinct was to struggle, but then he remembered where they were and what they had just promised each other.
