Noah rolled his eyes so hard it almost hurt, letting out a long, weary groan at the sheer, unadulterated narcissism Adam was displaying.
He looked at the man sitting beside him on the hospital bed, wondering how someone so intelligent could be so incredibly dense when it came to normal human interactions.
"Why do you always assume that it is perfectly normal for every single person on this planet to fall in love with you?" Noah asked, his voice dripping with disbelief.
"Do you honestly think you are like money, something that literally everyone loves by default? For crying out loud, Adam, Mrs. Damson is a married woman."
"She has a life, a husband, and a family. Why on earth would you even begin to think she would fall in love with you just because she's helping you wash up? You are really being ridiculous right now."
Adam didn't look offended in the slightest.
