Noah reached up and firmly cupped Adam's face, his expression a mix of affection and stern resolve.
He could see the conflict in Adam's eyes, a rare moment where the President of the nation was contemplating a complete abandonment of his professional identity just to stay in the bubble they had created.
Noah let out a soft, tired grimace, shaking his head as he held onto the man's jaw.
"You absolutely cannot abandon your work just to be with me all day," Noah said, his voice dropping into a gentle but firm register.
"I know this is all very new to both of us. Believe me, I don't want to leave your side any more than you want to leave mine. But I have to build a career for myself, and you still have to be the absolute best at what you do."
