Chapter 63 - "Two Beauties, One Day: Expanding the Crew."

Conis stood frozen, staring blankly at Enel's lifeless body on the ground.

She never imagined Enel—the self-proclaimed god—could actually be defeated, let alone die right in front of her eyes.

It didn't feel real.

Her head was spinning a little.

"Conis, people like Enel brought this on themselves," Makino said gently, stepping forward to comfort her. "Don't overthink it."

Conis blinked, snapping back to herself. She nodded softly, smiling with quiet grace. "I'm okay, Sister Makino."

"Logan!" Nami suddenly raised her head, her gaze sharpening. "We've got more uninvited guests."

Logan looked up lazily, then waved a hand. "Relax. They're not enemies."

During Nami's intense battle with Enel, the commotion had drawn others—Shandians led by the "War Demon" Wiper, and the former god of Skypiea, Gan Fall.

The two groups stood at opposite sides, staring at the scene in silence.

Shock was written all over their faces, just like the other Sky Islanders who had witnessed what happened.

That moment—Nami fighting like a goddess of war and beating the invincible Enel senseless—had burned itself into their memories.

In Enel, they saw their past selves—those who'd once believed he was unstoppable.

And yet, Nami had crushed him with ease.

"Wiper, don't tell me they're planning to rule Skypiea now too?!" a tall woman beside Wiper said. She had a black ponytail and wore a light purple outfit. Her tone was serious.

"Doubt it," Wiper replied, shaking his head and giving Raki a reassuring look.

He'd seen everything Logan had done just now.

"Come here," Logan said, glancing at both sides. "We need to talk."

Wiper and Gan Fall exchanged a look, hesitated for a moment, then approached.

They didn't really have a choice.

When even Enel got one-shotted by this man, what chance did they have?

Better not piss him off.

They walked in sync, stopping in front of Logan at nearly the same moment.

Gan Fall stepped forward first, lowering his posture. "Thank you for taking down Enel. You're the hero of Skypiea. None of us will forget what you've done."

The joy came so suddenly, Gan Fall still felt like he was dreaming.

He'd fought Enel countless times over the years, always ending in crushing defeat.

Logan nodded slightly, accepting his gratitude with calm ease before turning to Wiper.

"Enel's dead. What are you planning to do now?"

Wiper froze, then glanced at Gan Fall with a complicated expression. After a moment, his tone turned firm again. "Apayado is our home. We're taking it back."

Of course.

Logan sighed. He understood.

A long time ago, when the Sky Islanders were blasted up here by the Knock Up Stream, they found part of Jaya Island and claimed it as holy land.

The Shandians, the original inhabitants, were driven out. For four hundred years they fought to reclaim their homeland and fulfill their promise to Noland.

Then Enel showed up with his priests, stole everything, and became the new "god."

The enemy shifted, and Shandians and Gan Fall's people reluctantly united to fight him.

Now that Enel was dead, things had come full circle again.

The air turned tense after Wiper's declaration.

Gan Fall's expression hardened. He might've lost to Enel, but Wiper? He wasn't afraid of him.

"Enough!" Logan's voice cracked like thunder. His aura exploded outward, smothering both men in an instant.

The crushing pressure hit them like a mountain, making their minds go blank for a second.

When their eyes cleared again, Logan spoke coldly, "Apayado belongs to the Shandians. From now on, no Sky Islander sets foot there. And Shandians—don't go looking for trouble with the Sky people either."

Wiper's eyes flickered with gratitude.

They didn't want war—only peace and their land back. They knew too well they couldn't win head-on in the sky's domain.

Gan Fall hesitated, then nodded solemnly. "You saved Skypiea. You have my word."

"Wiper," he said, turning, "as the new god of Skypiea, I promise you—Apayado belongs to your people."

Wiper finally exhaled and said, "Gan Fall, then let's call it even between us."

That's more like it.

Logan nodded in satisfaction.

Fighting all day was such a waste of time.

"Wiper, I didn't help you for free," Logan added casually. "When the golden bell rings, I'm taking all the gold in the Golden City."

Wiper hesitated, then nodded helplessly.

It wasn't like he had a choice.

Even if he said no, what could he do? Logan could take it by force if he wanted. The fact he asked was already polite.

"Gan Fall, you know where Enel's base is, right?" Logan asked.

"Of course," Gan Fall said with a scowl. He knew it too well—that was where he'd suffered defeat again and again.

"Nami, Tashigi, go with him. Take down the four priests and bring back the Ark Maxim Enel built."

Logan already had a better ship, but a golden one still had its worth. Leaving it behind would be a waste.

"Ark Maxim? What's that supposed to be?" Nami asked curiously.

"It's a ship made entirely of gold," Logan explained patiently. "You'll know when you see it. You can even power it with your thunder abilities."

"A ship made of gold?!"

Her eyes sparkled instantly—the treasure radar in her brain went off.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go!" she shouted, and the three of them vanished into the distance in a flash of light.

"My lord, if that's all, we'll—"

"Hold up," Logan interrupted just as Wiper was about to leave with the Shandians.

Logan's gaze shifted slightly—to the tall beauty beside him, Raki.

He had come to Skypiea with two goals in mind: to recruit two story beauties. One was the angelic Conis. The other stood right here.

"I'll be straight with you," Logan said. "Raki, I'm Logan, captain of the Logan Pirates. Join my crew. Come with me on an adventure."

Raki blinked in surprise.

A man powerful enough to kill Enel was inviting her aboard?

Even Wiper was stunned. Then, a realization hit him.

Maybe the reason Logan even bothered to "ask" before taking the gold was… because of her.

Yeah. That had to be it.

"My lord, I—"

"Raki, sis—"

Before she could refuse, Conis bounced over and grabbed her arm, shaking it like a child.

"What is it, Conis?" Raki asked fondly, smiling softly.

They were close—more like sisters than friends.

In the original story, after Enel's fall, they even opened a café together called Pumpkin.

Conis gave Logan a quick glance, then turned back to Raki, pleading, "Raki-sis, I just joined Logan's crew too. Come with me, please?"

"Huh?!"

Now Raki was the shocked one.

Conis joined his pirate crew?

Raki crouched down, meeting Conis's eyes. "Conis, why? Why'd you join him?"

"Logan said he'd make me strong—like Nami! And he promised to take me to see lots of fun places!" Conis said cheerfully, waving her arms in excitement.

"Come with us, Raki-sis! Let's go sailing together with Logan!"

No one could resist that kind of adorable pleading.

An angel asking you to go on an adventure? That's unfair.

Raki went quiet for a while, clearly torn inside.

A few minutes later, she turned toward Wiper.

He met her gaze and smiled faintly. "Raki, Enel's gone, and we've got our home back. Everything's settled now. If you want to go, go. You deserve to live for yourself."

They'd grown up together, fought side by side for years. He knew she was tired of it all.

Now that the war was over, he wouldn't hold her back.

Raki's eyes grew red as she nodded. "Wiper, I'll come back."

Always so dramatic, Logan thought helplessly.

Not that he'd say it out loud.

He already had the return coordinates locked in—she could pop back anytime.

"Captain," Raki said with a bright smile, extending her hand, "I'll be in your care."

Logan grinned. He liked women who took the initiative.

"Welcome aboard." Instead of shaking her hand, he spread his arms.

Raki blinked. "…Uh?"

"Raki, all pirate crews do this! I hugged Logan too," Conis chimed in earnestly.

The others—Kaya, Tashigi, and the rest—barely held back their laughter.

No other pirate crew did that, and they all knew it.

But Raki believed it, smiling as she stepped forward and hugged Logan tight.

"Congrats, Logan! Two new crewmates in one day!"

"Captain, you're gonna be busy," someone teased.

"…"

Their eyes said it all.

"Alright, let's move. To the Golden City."

Logan shot them a warning glance, then led the group aboard the ship.

Next stop: the Golden City.

The journey was smooth and fast.

From the deck, the women gazed ahead at the colossal city of gold, their faces frozen in awe.

Even Robin, calm as a still lake, felt her heart quake at the sight.

Before them stretched a city made entirely of gold, glittering so brightly it hurt to look at.

"So the legends were true," Logan murmured, staring down at the golden ruins.

Though it was worn and broken with time, its grandeur still shone through.

He led the group down from the ship and onto the legendary city.

At once, the air grew heavy with the scent of history—solemn, ancient, and magnificent.

ChatGPT said:

"Wow… Logan, I've never seen so much gold in my life!"

"Captain, we've struck it rich this time!"

"Captain, is all of this really ours?!"

"No more worrying about money ever again!!"

"..."

Faced with such an overwhelming mountain of treasure, the girls were practically floating.

Like a flock of sparrows returning home, they all dove straight into the glittering sea of gold.

Suddenly, anyone with trypophobia was instantly cured.

"Go ahead," Logan said with a grin. "Take as much as you can carry."

The girls—who'd been waiting for that exact command—immediately rushed back to the ship to grab every container they could find, frantically scooping up gold like their lives depended on it.

They ignored the small pieces—only the big chunks were worth their time!

Even the newcomers, Conis and Laki, joined in.

Just joined Logan's crew and already getting this kind of perk?

They were absolutely loving it.

"You're not going?" Logan asked, glancing at Robin beside him.

Robin looped her arm around his, smiling softly as she shook her head.

That restless heart of hers was finally starting to calm down.

She'd never really cared much for gold anyway.

"Let's go take a look up there," Logan said, guiding her onto a cloud current that lifted them above the vines—right to where the giant golden bell stood, supported by two massive golden pillars.

Their eyes were instantly drawn to it.

The bell was enormous.

"So this is the legendary Golden Bell?" Robin murmured in awe.

"Yeah," Logan nodded.

For the Shandians, reclaiming their homeland wasn't their only goal—they also wanted to fulfill their promise to Noland: to ring the bell so the light of Shandora would never fade.

Standing before that sacred bell, Robin couldn't help but feel a strange sense of awe.

To most people, it was just a colossal hunk of gold.

But to the Shandians, it meant something irreplaceable.

Robin might not have shared their faith, but as someone who had spent her whole life studying history, she could feel the weight of it all more than anyone else.

When her thoughts finally returned, she turned to look at Logan—her eyes soft, yet burning with emotion.

Countless people had searched their whole lives for the lost city of gold and never found it.Yet here she was, standing in it effortlessly.

All because of him.

"What's wrong?" Logan asked, noticing her gaze.

Robin just shook her head, saying nothing, and leaned a little closer against him.

Logan made her feel something she hadn't felt in over twenty years—safe.

For the first time since she'd been on the run, her heart was at peace.

Logan took her hand and led her to the lower side of the Golden Bell, where a stone tablet stood—the Poneglyph.

By now, Robin wasn't even surprised by Logan's uncanny ability to find exactly what he was looking for.

Trying to contain her excitement, she cleared away the vines until the dark stone was fully exposed.

Her fingertips brushed the ancient surface as she began to read the inscriptions.

"'Ancient weapon… Poseidon?'" she whispered.

Just like the one in Alabasta—it recorded information about the ancient weapons.

A flicker of disappointment crossed her eyes. It wasn't what she had been hoping for.

"There's more," Logan said, pointing to a nearby golden platform. "Check over there."

Robin followed his gaze—and saw another inscription carved into the gold.

"Gol D. Roger?" she read aloud, startled.

The Pirate King himself?

"Yeah," Logan said casually. "Roger already found all the Poneglyphs long ago. He took them to the final island—Raftel."

"The final island…" Robin repeated under her breath, lost in thought.

After a pause, she turned back to him. "Captain, your dream… it's not to reach the final island, is it?"

It wasn't a random guess.

In all her time aboard his ship, this was the first time she'd ever heard Logan even mention Raftel.

"Exactly," Logan said, resting his hands behind his head with a smirk.

"I couldn't care less about being Pirate King. I just wanna keep recruiting more beautiful women."

He grinned. "Once I take down Im, I'll be the King of the World. Pirate King's got nothing on that."

Robin couldn't help laughing.

"King of the World, huh? Sounds pretty good to me."

She smiled mischievously. "If you're the King of the World… then I guess that makes me the King's woman."

"....."
