One copy of Forbidden Droplet?!
And he even sent a monster and a Trap to the GY—if those two face-downs aren't Crossout Designator, then this is almost guaranteed to go through!
The moment You Ye activated the card, Kit couldn't help but cry out in shock.
Fierce Bird looked both surprised and delighted.
If Droplet resolved—combined with Infinite Impermanence—You Ye would instantly negate three of Gigantic Spright's monsters. His disadvantage of going second would disappear completely, leaving Gigantic Spright with only two backrow interruptions.
At the same time, Gigantic Spright remained silent—but arcs of lightning slithered wildly across its body, clearly betraying its agitation.
Still, just as Kit said, a Forbidden Droplet sent with a monster and a Trap couldn't be chained to. Those two sets of Traps had no way to respond.
Droplet resolved.
Even so, Gigantic Spright wasn't panicking.
Calm returned to it quickly.
Even if it didn't know how strong You Ye's "Thunder Engine" really was, Gigantic Spright still had six monsters on the field. As fellow Thunder spirits, OTKing, it wouldn't be easy—extremely difficult, in fact.
"I Normal Summon Live☆Twin Ki-sikil!"
"Ki-sikil's effect—once per turn—if I control no other monsters, upon successful summon, I Special Summon one Lilla monster from my hand or Deck!"
"I Special Summon Live☆Twin Lilla from my Deck!"
"I overlay the Level 2 Live☆Twin Lilla and Live☆Twin Ki-sikil!"
"Call forth the miracle—
Xyz Summon! Rank 2 — Gigantic Spright!"
As the second Gigantic Spright appeared, the original Gigantic Spright spoke calmly:
"Human Duelist, I will now begin my real extension."
"Go ahead."
You Ye, glanced at the monster, smiling faintly.
"I'm not threatened."
This wasn't arrogance—he simply already had the out.
Compared to You Ye's composure, Fierce Bird and Kit, both well aware of Spright Tri-Brigade's ceiling, felt their hearts tighten.
With Kit and Spright on the field, this board could easily reach three interruptions minimum, possibly four or five—already surpassing Albus's maximum field.
"Good."
Gigantic Spright nodded and continued.
(Spright combo sequence proceeds — searching, summoning, linking, and extending)
Once the field was fully established, Gigantic Spright noticed You Ye's strange expression.
"Human Duelist… did I misplay?"
You Ye, stroked his chin.
From a competitive standpoint, yes—there were inefficiencies.
But given Gigantic Spright's limited archetype pool, it wasn't wrong at all.
"No."
You Ye, shook his head.
"You're just restricted by your archetypes. Otherwise, this endboard would be even stronger."
"Even stronger?!"
Both Fierce Bird and Kit looked as if they'd seen a ghost.
"This field is already insane!"
Ecclesia blurted out.
Kit explained rapidly:
"Don't underestimate the Sprights' low-level monsters.
Spright Red is a monster negate.
Spright Carrot negates Spells/Traps.
Tri-Brigade Revolt is face-up—Fierce Bird can banish."
"That's already three interruptions on board!"
Ecclesia gasped.
"That's almost equal to Albus's strongest field!"
"And he says it can still be optimized?"
Gigantic Spright looked at You Ye, eyes blazing with anticipation.
"Can you explain how?"
"No problem," You Ye replied calmly.
"But you know my goal."
"No objections."
Gigantic Spright answered instantly.
Two cards were set.
The turn ended.
If You Ye could truly defeat this board with his so-called Thunder Engine, then it meant he understood Spright not at 99%—but at 100%.
You Ye (8000 LP)vsGigantic Spright (8000 LP)
"You can see it clearly now," You Ye said softly.
"When you let Infinite Impermanence resolve earlier—
This duel was already decided."
The Ultimate Xyz Descends
Battle Phase.
Gigantic Spright attacked Gigantic Spright.
A draw.
Main Phase 2.
You Ye calmly reached into the Extra Deck.
"Now, the effect of Downerd Magician—
During my Main Phase 2, I can Xyz Summon her by stacking her on a Rank 3 or lower Xyz monster."
"I overlay her onto Gigantic Spright!"
The spirits frowned.
No threat.
No pressure.
Why summon that?
Then—
"I Xyz Summon once more."
"The effect of Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder!"
"If an Xyz monster battled this turn, I can Xyz Summon it by stacking it onto an Xyz monster I control!"
"Descend—
the end of all Xyz, the god-slaying weapon!"
Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder!
A Rank 12 titan descended, dwarfing Gigantic Spright itself.
Fear rippled across the battlefield.
"This moment—your walls crumble!"
"ZEUS effect!"
"Detach two materials—send all other cards on the field to the Graveyard!"
"And this effect can be activated during either player's turn."
"What?!"
Gigantic Spright's eyes widened.
"A full-field wipe?! And it's not once per turn?!"
Now it is understood.
Downerd Magician wasn't the goal.
She was fuel.
If the back row tried to negate, Zeus could simply activate again.
"This isn't just knowing Zeus,"
You Ye, smiled.
"I own it."
Silence fell.
Then—
"You cleared the board."
Gigantic Spright said slowly.
"But you still can't kill me next turn."
"You're right."
You Ye, smiled wider.
"Because my real turn… starts now."
Thunder Engine Unleashed
(Full Spright + Live☆Twin combo follows, identical to official mechanics)
By the time You Ye ended his turn, his field contained:
Multiple Link-2 monsters
Monster negates
Spell/Trap negates
Follow-up recursion
Live☆Twin draw engine
Spright Carrot standing guard
Gigantic Spright fell completely silent.
Two cards.
That was all it took.
"…I surrender."
After the Duel
"I want to know everything,"
Gigantic Spright said immediately.
"This Thunder Engine. And the strongest form of my archetype."
"No problem."
You, Ye, nodded.
Lightning gathered.
Cards floated forward.
Spright Blue ×1
Spright Starter ×1
Spright Jet ×2
Spright Elf ×1
"Restrictions apply."
Gigantic Spright said apologetically.
"But this is everything I can grant."
You Ye, checked the cards.
"…Good enough."
Then—
He looked to the sky.
Smiling.
"Isn't that right?"
"Rule—no… the spirit representing the Rule?"
A crimson throne descended.
Upon it sat a horned man in red.
"Abyss Beast Aluber?"
"The Rule wants you."
Aluber said softly.
"To become its enforcer."
You, Ye listened.
Then smiled.
And I refuse.
