"You want to dig out my eyes, you yellow-haired brat!" Urashiki snarled at Boruto, his expression dark and his eyes filled with murderous intent.
Damn it… this brat's power—Momoshiki and Kinshiki must have died by his hands, Urashiki thought, suddenly on high alert.
Boruto's figure flickered. In an instant, he closed the distance between them like a ghost, his right fist glowing with silver light—like lightning condensed into human form—aiming straight for Urashiki's eye socket.
In that split second, Urashiki had no choice but to summon all his strength, hastily condensing a crimson energy barrier before him to block the oncoming strike.
BOOM!
A deafening roar shook the entire dimension. The resulting shockwave rippled through the air, distorting the space around them.
Though the red barrier barely managed to stop Boruto's devastating punch, cracks webbed across its surface before it shattered. Urashiki was thrown backward, staggering several steps.
At the same time, the treasure tool Karasuki—the strange turtle-like device—was sent flying by the shockwave.
It hurtled through the air like a meteor, smashing against the Susanoo shield Sarada had erected with a metallic clang.
The impact created ripples of white energy that spread through the space like waves crashing on invisible shores.
"Kid, are you insane?" Urashiki shouted angrily.
"That treasure tool—Karasuki—is currently taking us through time! If you act recklessly here, we'll all be pulled into a temporal maelstrom and torn apart by the time currents!"
"Karasuki? Traveling through time?" Boruto muttered, his expression shifting as he looked around.
Now that he noticed, the space around them didn't look normal at all—stars and streaks of light flowed endlessly, exuding a mysterious, otherworldly beauty that transcended space and time.
"Traveling through time?"
Sarada and Sumire were both stunned, their gazes fixed on the fallen treasure tool glowing faintly nearby.
Sarada quickly picked it up, her Sharingan reflecting the artifact's strange light. "This turtle can actually travel through time? That's insane…"
Boruto narrowed his glowing Tenseigan eyes, staring hard at the tool. Even with that power, he couldn't see through its design.
The Karasuki emitted an ancient and boundless aura, as if connected to the very fabric of the universe itself.
"Hmph," Urashiki sneered, pride flashing across his face.
"That's right. This is the supreme treasure of the Ōtsutsuki Clan—capable of traversing any timeline or dimension. Only we, the Ōtsutsuki, can truly control it."
But before he could continue his boast, Karasuki suddenly flared with a blinding white light, enveloping the entire space.
Urashiki's face twisted. "That brat's punch—did it cause Karasuki to activate prematurely? Damn it! The timeline isn't stable yet—I can't go back to the era of the Nine-Tails' Jinchūriki's youth!"
He clenched his fists. "No matter. As long as I can get rid of this yellow-haired brat, I'll take that risk. I can't let him dig out my eyes—I haven't even taken my own yet."
Urashiki sneered again and dove straight into the blinding stream of light, his body vanishing.
"Boruto!" Sarada and Sumire both cried out in alarm.
Boruto flickered in front of them instantly, standing as their shield.
Sarada activated her Susanoo once more, its crimson armor wrapping around her body. She grabbed Sumire's hand, extending the armor to cover her as well.
The ground vanished beneath them.
The stars and ribbons of light around them began to twist and spin in reverse. Slowly at first—then faster and faster—until it felt like the entire universe was rewinding.
Boruto, Sarada, and Sumire were swept up into the turbulent current of time, their figures flickering in and out of existence like leaves adrift on a raging river.
"Boruto, what should we do?" Sarada asked, fear trembling in her voice.
Boruto didn't answer right away. His Tenseigan gleamed brighter, reflecting the kaleidoscope of time around them.
"Don't be afraid, Sarada, Sumire," he said steadily. "I'm here."
"Don't…"
"Don't go, Boruto…"
A soft, distant voice suddenly reached his ears. Boruto froze—it wasn't Sarada or Sumire speaking.
That voice echoed directly in his mind. He tried to focus, searching for its source in the chaos of spinning space-time, but the current of light around them twisted faster and faster.
Reality itself began to blur, making it impossible to tell where or when they were anymore.
Then—Boruto, Sarada, and Sumire vanished completely into the churning void.
—
Outside the chaotic space-time corridor, night had fallen over a shattered battlefield. Smoke filled the air.
It was the Fourth Great Ninja War.
In a vast crater, Madara Uchiha stood atop the Ten-Tails' head, arms crossed, his war fan resting on his back. His crimson Rinnegan eyes scanned the horizon with cold amusement.
"So, instead of waiting for the Ten-Tails to attack, you've decided to come to us instead?" Madara smirked. "That's fine. Capturing the king first—it's just common sense."
"According to the plan—take down those two controlling the Ten-Tails!" Naruto shouted, raising a glowing Wind Release: Rasenshuriken in his hand.
Countless jutsu were unleashed at once, raining down upon Madara and Obito.
But before they could strike, the Ten-Tails' massive tails stretched upward like colossal serpents, blotting out the sky.
The monstrous appendages easily swatted away the Allied Forces' attacks, their counterstrike sending dozens of ninja flying through the air.
"The Ten-Tails is unstoppable!" someone screamed. "Wasn't it already sealed?!"
But their voice was lost in the chaos as the Ten-Tails let out an ear-splitting roar. The ground quaked beneath its power.
"The Ten-Tails is getting harder to control. Strengthen the link with the Hashirama Cells," Madara ordered.
A pale, tree-like growth erupted from his chest, extending into the Ten-Tails' body. Obito did the same.
Madara's lips curled. "Let's see how much despair they can endure."
At that moment, the Ten-Tails began condensing chakra in its mouth. A massive dark-red Tailed Beast Ball formed, radiating pure annihilation.
The overwhelming energy sent chills down every spine on the battlefield.
"No! There's no time for Kamui! Kitsuchi, use Earth Release—raise its leg!" Kakashi shouted urgently.
Kitsuchi slammed his hands to the ground, forcing one of the Ten-Tails' legs upward.
But it wasn't enough.
The Tailed Beast Ball launched—tearing through the air like a comet—before exploding in the distance.
A blinding flash lit up the horizon, followed by a roar that shook the heavens. The earth itself seemed to scream as the shockwave consumed everything in its path.
