"The destructive power is terrifying… the Tailed Beast Balls the Bijuu fired earlier were nothing compared to this one," Kakashi thought, staring at the massive explosion in the distance. His chest tightened with disbelief.
"Such instability clearly shows that its control has major flaws," Madara said calmly, feeling the Ten-Tails' body tremble violently like a rabid beast.
"Hmph, once more!" Obito snorted coldly.
The Ten-Tails opened its enormous jaws again, gathering a huge amount of chakra as another Tailed Beast Ball began to form.
Just like before, it aimed at a distant location, completely ignoring the Allied Shinobi Forces right in front of it.
In seconds, the land that was once full of life became nothing but rubble. Smoke choked the air, flames roared across the ground, and everything looked like hell itself.
"Since the beginning, I've found it strange. Why does it always aim so far away?" Ao muttered in the command center, his brow tightly furrowed.
"That's right. All the town residents are within that range," Shikaku added, worry flickering in his eyes.
A deafening roar echoed as the Ten-Tails launched another Tailed Beast Ball, the massive sphere whistling toward the distance.
"That direction is…" Neji narrowed his eyes at the rapidly departing Tailed Beast Ball, a bad feeling rising in his chest.
"This is… could it be…?" Ao's face suddenly turned pale as realization hit him.
"What's wrong, Lord Ao?" Shikaku asked, noticing his abnormal expression.
But before Ao could answer, Shikaku already understood. His gaze shifted toward the ceiling, and he muttered softly, "So it's here…"
"Shikaku, what should we do?" Inoichi Yamanaka asked urgently.
Shikaku took a deep breath, his eyes firm. "Then let's fulfill our final mission. This will be my last task. Inoichi, Ao — help me contact everyone on the battlefield. I've already thought of a way to stop the Ten-Tails."
Out on the battlefield, Shikamaru and Ino stood with pained expressions. Ino's eyes brimmed with tears.
"Alright… everything that needed to be said has been said. Everything that needed to be done has been done. Now, let's leave it to them," Inoichi said softly, patting Shikaku's shoulder with quiet resolve.
Shikaku nodded slightly.
Suddenly, a blinding white light filled the room. Shikaku, Inoichi, and Ao — already prepared to die — were stunned to see a figure emerge from the light.
When the light faded, Boruto slowly appeared, looking around in confusion.
"Are you Nara Shikaku, Inoichi Yamanaka, and Ao?" Boruto asked, scanning the three men with narrowed eyes, clearly full of questions.
"You know us? What the hell is going on here?"
"Could this blond kid have come here using space-time ninjutsu?" Shikaku thought, countless ideas flashing through his mind.
"How did you get here, kid? Ah… there are only two seconds left before this place turns into ruins," Ao sighed bitterly.
The moment he finished speaking, Boruto's figure flickered. He leapt through the shattered window, hovering in the sky above.
Before him, a massive, dark red Tailed Beast Ball was speeding closer, its oppressive power enough to make anyone tremble.
"I've traveled to the Fourth Shinobi World War? That's the Ten-Tails' Tailed Beast Ball!" Boruto thought, raising his hand.
A silvery-white orb of chakra formed in his palm and shot forward like a meteor.
The two spheres collided — and in an instant, Boruto's chakra swallowed the Tailed Beast Ball completely, turning it into pure chakra and erasing it without an explosion.
Boruto calmly descended back into the room.
"The Tailed Beast Ball… is gone?" Ao's eyes widened.
"How is that even possible?! He just flew out there and handled a Tailed Beast Ball directly!"
"And why does he know our names? Why does he look so much like Naruto?" Inoichi muttered, still stunned.
"Could it be… no, it can't be…" Shikaku's mind raced with possibilities.
"Sarada and Sumire Kakei aren't here? Did I land in the wrong time… or the wrong place?" Boruto thought to himself, frowning slightly.
"Are you Naruto's son from the future?" Shikaku asked carefully, testing his hunch.
Boruto grinned. "As expected of Shikadai's grandfather. You figured it out in one shot."
"Shikadai? My grandson in the future?" Shikaku asked, still processing. "Are you really from the future?"
"What? Naruto's son from the future?" Inoichi stammered. "That's insane… time travel…"
"Look at him. He looks exactly like Naruto when he was a kid — same whisker marks, same blue eyes. Unless Minato was resurrected and had another son, there's no other explanation," Shikaku said.
"Did you really deal with that Tailed Beast Ball just now? That was the Ten-Tails' Tailed Beast Ball! It just… vanished without a single explosion!" Ao asked, still in disbelief.
"That's right," Boruto said casually. "I dealt with it. I really am Naruto's son. As for how I got here, we'll talk about that later."
Shikaku exhaled slowly and pressed, "Then why have you come back? Is it to stop this war or something else?"
Boruto shrugged, a playful grin on his face. "Honestly? I'm not sure. Since I'm here, I might as well have some fun."
Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Ino froze mid-cry. She looked at the distant sky with wide eyes. "Why… didn't the Tailed Beast Ball explode?"
Obito also noticed something was off. "Why didn't it explode?" he muttered.
Madara narrowed his eyes. "What exactly happened over there?"
