Chapter 150 - Chapter 149: Am I Going to Be Rude to You?

This was a walking 120 million!

At the same time, Song Jie clearly sensed the cunning of the Black Vatican.

Even Night Hawk had been deceived by the Blue Deacon, which meant the enemy had already planned their escape route well in advance.

However, everything that man did only served to pave the way for Song Jie!

Soon after—

The shadow that Song Jie had transformed into caught up to the severely injured Blue Deacon.

The man was sprinting through a maze-like residential area. If he managed to shake off pursuit here, the Judgment Association would have a hard time tracking him down again.

Song Jie watched him enter a wide, open section and smiled faintly. Raising his hand, he cast a low-level Radiance spell.

In an instant, the golden light turned into a blazing Laser, piercing through the darkness and slicing through the air toward the wounded Blue Deacon!

The man didn't even have time to react before the Laser struck him squarely, sending him crashing hard into a wall.

The middle-aged man looked down at the armor on his body, now shattered beyond repair.

Scanning his surroundings, his eyes quickly locked onto Song Jie's silhouette lurking in the shadows.

Just moments ago, he had made it to his predetermined escape route, confident that his men would mislead Night Hawk's pursuit.

He thought he was finally safe—

But another enemy had appeared out of nowhere!

The man clenched his fist tightly. If he didn't eliminate this person immediately, he'd never escape!

A feral grin spread across his face. "Since you're so eager to die, I'll grant your wish!"

Song Jie remained calm. As long as the opponent wasn't an Advanced-level mage, he could crush anyone below that tier with ease.

"Blood Curse!"

The man bit his finger and pressed it to the ground.

A strange, blood-red sigil suddenly spread beneath his feet!

The surrounding air became thick with the stench of blood as the formation greedily absorbed his life essence.

Panting heavily, his eyes flashed like a starving wolf as he glared at Song Jie.

"Blood Sacrifice!" he roared.

The blood-soaked energy, mixed with curses, surged violently toward Song Jie.

Unfazed, Song Jie calmly traced the Star Chart, and a golden hexagram instantly flared beneath him.

"Light Blessing!"

"Mental Guardian!"

A radiant golden light enveloped his entire body. The oncoming blood energy and curses collided with the barrier—then were completely repelled.

"What?! How is that possible?!"

The man's eyes widened in disbelief. Wasn't that just an Intermediate-level Light Blessing?

It actually blocked his Blood Sacrifice?!

His Blood Sacrifice could even kill a third-tier Advanced mage… but this guy blocked it effortlessly with one spell?

Song Jie's expression didn't change. Unless it was an Advanced-level mental attack, there was no way something like this could affect him.

"I don't believe it!!" the man roared in frustration.

He bit into his palm again and slammed it onto the blood sigil, desperate to unleash a final strike.

"Little Green," Song Jie called softly.

He couldn't let this man die yet—perhaps the Judgment Association still needed him alive.

A small green creature burst out from the Dimensional Space and, following Song Jie's command, released a flurry of vines that tightly bound the man.

The Blue Deacon tried to resist, but his strength was quickly drained away.

He suddenly felt his limbs go numb—unaware that Little Green's venom had already spread throughout his body.

"Well done," Song Jie praised, smiling as the blood energy and curses dissipated.

He leaned in and gave Little Green a kiss on the head.

"Ding-a-ling-a-ling!!" (Her cheeks now covered in drool…)

Song Jie then walked over to the immobilized man and took out his phone, dialing Tang Yue's number.

After he had helped her remove the curse earlier, she should've already recovered by now.

She was from the Judgment Association—and half one of his own people too—so calling her out now made perfect sense.

And besides… he could discuss the bounty with her later.

Thinking of the 120 million that would soon enter his account, Song Jie felt his pulse quicken.

This was the first time he'd ever seen so much money!

Tang Yue answered his call quickly, then immediately contacted Night Hawk. She hadn't expected Song Jie to actually capture the Blue Deacon alive.

But she couldn't help worrying about his safety. The Black Vatican was full of devious monsters.

Night Hawk was the first to reach the scene, descending slowly from the air.

His gaze swept over the bound, half-conscious Blue Deacon before landing on Song Jie.

"Are you Song Jie?"

Song Jie nodded.

Night Hawk smiled and patted his shoulder. "You're young and very promising."

Song Jie just nodded modestly without saying anything.

"Is he dead?"

"No, just poisoned," Song Jie replied immediately.

Night Hawk's eyes lit up. A living Blue Deacon was far more valuable than a corpse.

"A great achievement!"

"I heard there's a bounty for capturing or killing members of the Black Vatican, right?" Song Jie asked, deliberately steering the conversation.

"Yes. You not only provided the intel but also helped with the capture. The full bounty goes to you," Night Hawk said with a smile.

Song Jie finally relaxed, satisfaction showing on his face.

Before long, Tang Yue arrived too. When she saw that Song Jie was unharmed, she sighed in relief.

"Teacher Tang Yue, I know there are still more Black Vatican members around. Want to come with me to catch them?" Song Jie suggested.

Tang Yue nodded and followed him without hesitation, leaving the Blue Deacon in Night Hawk's hands.

That same night, the Judgment Association began their full-scale operation.

They had been monitoring Black Vatican activity in the Magic City for some time, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

Now that a Blue Deacon had been captured, there was no longer any need for restraint.

"Didn't your Summoned Beast just return? Did you lose track of the others?" Tang Yue asked.

"There's a river near the Qing Bar. Little Black said he jumped into it," Song Jie explained.

Tang Yue sighed softly. "That man is cunning. Using the river to escape pursuit."

"He won't get away," Song Jie replied calmly. "It's just not the right time yet."

Then, together, Song Jie and Tang Yue began rounding up the remaining Black Vatican believers.

With their combined strength, those heretics didn't stand a chance and were subdued in no time.

"You've earned quite a bit this time," Tang Yue said with a teasing smile, glancing at the poisoned, unconscious believers.

"Compared to you, Teacher Tang Yue, this is nothing," Song Jie said with a grin.

"I'm pretty broke after breaking through to the Advanced level. How about sharing a little with me?" Tang Yue asked playfully, winking.

"Sure," Song Jie said with a mischievous smile, "but it's too late tonight. How about we find a hotel and stay the night before we head back?"

Tang Yue, of course, caught the hidden meaning behind his words and raised her hand to smack him lightly on the back of the head.

"Teacher Tang Yue," Song Jie muttered, narrowing his eyes, "if you keep hitting me like that, I might stop being polite."

"Oh? And how exactly would you be impolite to me?" Tang Yue asked, smiling provocatively, clearly unafraid…
